Overall the process of buying went somewhat smoothly with the mtg company, but as far as getting documents and answers from other professionals involved, the answers were incorrect and the realtor misled us as to what the house included. It was later pointed out in the contract that Lennar can make changes at any time and they are not bound to the contact although you are. They forgot the keypad to our garage and later said it may be offered as a courtesy yet all the other houses being built before or after our with same floor plan had them installed. The process of buying the Home was well documented and good. Workmanship: Overall, it is good, with some issues here and there; nonetheless, the response to issues has been good. The Sun Panels are not placed in the ideal location to maximize energy harvesting on my property. Neighboring property shadow fails over panel starting from 6 PM. I still can’t determine how that will impact panel performance once they are activated. I wish they have placed sun panels on both sides of my roof rather than compacting them all in one location. Fridge: The fridge location in the Kitchen could have been better. The fridge doors can’t open completely, so some drawers as well. Material: The material is decent; nonetheless, model units have superior material, which is deceiving to customers. Painting: The property wall painting is at the basic level; therefore, it is tough to clean them. This requires customers to add another layer of painting to the walls. Bathroom: The model Unit bathrooms have a complete set of towel rails and holders. My property only has towel hooks. Security System: The model units have a security system installed. The new models don’t have that, nor would your home insurance company provide them anymore. Floor: Property floor colors might vary from those shown in Model units. Conclusion: Lennar is the largest home builder in the US for a reason. They build quality homes with great incentive plans to help customers close on properties and lower interest rate. Lately, Lennar seems to be selling properties at higher sales prices with lower amenities to save and compensate for the rising build material costs. ... More

Love our home the way they designed the homes is amazing just wish they would make a big community pool it’s so hot in the summer and these backyards are super small to fit one in.

I felt rushed to move in, so that Lennar can show a completed sale despite the home was rushed. The home also had materials and parts removed to finish other homes in the series and when the contractors replaced parts back the quality control was compromised with re installation. Should have informed my lawyer to get involved with write contingencies before I sign off the walk thru. Felt like things were purposely hidden. should have never signed off in good faith things would be addressed. felt duped and lied too. Now moved in close to two months in and don’t feel comfortable inside my home. cannot even enjoy since the cabinets have missing hardware missed drilled holes, compromised installation, no quality control and tile has stains that were never buffed out. Our Lennar customer service rep is ok but the manager or foreman is a complete lack there of and never double checked worked. ... More

Lennar made it easy for me to buy a home. They even helped when I had questions and did not understand something in the contract.

Way too many issues to list. Cabinetry in the kitchen issues with wrong colors and measurements. entire walls out of square, poor trim, finished carpentry and paint work done through the entirety of the house. Spaces with wrong measurements. Poor quality control. Every single trade’s work is really poor. Not surprised about the trades quality at all, I’m surprised about Lennar’s poor quality control. Now all there is to do is patch work. Unsatisfactory.

We really love the house, but our experience ended up being very rushed as our house was scheduled to close the day of Lennar’s fiscal year end. We have cracking on our spare bathroom sink that we did not notice on the buyer walk, we were told there is nothing that can be done and it isn’t covered because we could have caused the damage ourselves. It’s in our third bathroom that we just started decorating and haven’t even started to use. There are quite a few gaps in the cabinetry that we were told is “as designed” which is pretty odd. I worked at a store that sold cabinets for about 7-8 years and I’ve not seen wide open gaps in the bottom like that. Overall, the house is nice, just feel we shouldn’t have to put more of our money into it to get what we feel we should have from the start. ... More

Overall, good experience in buying my first house in California with the help of the sales from Lennar.

Employees are great they did everything they could to get me into my home as soon as possible, when issues were brought up they immediately got on it. If it wasn’t for the customer service and employees I would have not gone through the sale.

Being that we spent over half a million. Things felt rushed. Materials used were cheap. Lots of mess ups that after we move in aren’t covered. Bathroom shower tile is horrible. Master shower casing is losing its color. When you do a walk through and only thing you hear is I have another appointment I have another appointment we got x amount of time left. Process was just the worse. Still don’t have proper doors and other main fixtures for the house. Nightmare! For the amount of money this should of been a non rushed professional set up process. Instead it was I got get my numbers process

Beautiful home at a great price. The quality in the workmanship not so good. I’ve only lived in my newly built home a month & have had to call to make a claim multiple times. Luckily there is a warranty & Lennar is pretty fast with addressing the issue & sending someone out to fix the problem.

My experience with Lennar. Is very poor and disappointing. First I talk to the builder Lance about my sod water unit and I also talked to the Plummer that installed it before the plumbing went up. And told them I had a soft water unit they said it was going to be ok. And it was addressed and I had the system removed from my old home and brought down to the new house and they couldn’t install it because they never installed a bypass because the house has fire sprinkler, the workmen shop is very poor they have to keep coming out to repair issues, they installed carbon monoxide sensor. But they installed it wrong to far from the smoke detector and and 180 degrees, the carpet mail stripe they installed i the stairs we keep on hitting them down with a hammer when we get poked, the power outlets don’t have them in an some areas. Also if we use a few things it the kitchen the breaks pops. Because they are tided together in the same circuit. The house is bigger than my old house but there’s fewer places to store things in it. No medicine cabinets i any of the restrooms. Also another concern. You build i this house to save energy but you installed a A/C unit and condenser that run on 240 volts. The house has some nice things and I love the layout. But just the quality is very poor. I don’t recommend or see my self buying another Lennar built home again ... More

Lack of communication. Short on customer service.

Overall. 3/5. House quality seems like they just wanted to push these houses out. Freezer has been inoperable since day 1. Havnt been able to et fixed or replaced. Followed all recommended steps from Lennar team to get fixed. Point blaming between builder and appliance company. Master closet shelving collapsed on itself first week of puttting clothes on it. Carpet nails sticking up at edges of liners. “Was told to step over nails” I’m like “I have kids” I can’t even get them stop running around the house let alone try and tell them to never step over nails sticking out of the carpet. Tried to get me to sign DocuSign documents on incomplete tasks. DO NOT LET THEM PRESSURE YOU INTO SIGNING ANYTHING! ... More

Very beautiful home in a beautiful area. We had everything we needed in order on our end so there was very minimal headaches the first couple of months we waited for the home to be built. Last three weeks went completely down hill. Apparently a certain part we needed for our hood vent was not available and this prevented us from moving in, according to Lennar. From the beginning, I said I don’t care about the hood vent. Just give me the home and you can figure it out after. No can do said their sales staff, it’s impossible to close without this ”critical part” because the city with not allow it. I was patient for about three weeks and our closing date came and went. Once we missed our second closing date, that’s when I began calling at least once a date for updates. At this time, the sales staff seemed to go out of their way to make this as frustrating as possible. From them not communicating within themselves, to missed deadlines, not returning phone calls etc. it was clear they had no idea what the construction side was doing. When I called, to tell them that I had young kids in school, and renters moving in on our current home and we had to move out, that did not motivate them to move any quicker. They still dragged their feet and seemed ti be enjoying it. All due to a missing part on an exhaust fan!! I finally called the called the city of Shafter to ask why they will not sign my building off with one trivial part missing and guess what? The city of Shafter said that was ridiculous and stated had Lennar shown them the building with one trivial part missing, they would’ve signed at once with the exception that Lennar return after we moved in and finish whatever they needed to finish. The tone of the city, was just as incredulous as I was. After that we were able to move in within the week with the week with the fan still not complete, but happy with our home regardless, which is what I asked for from the beginning. The one thing that the sales team said was "not possible “ was completed by me with one call. All due to a missing part on an exhaust fan!! It’s been about a month since we moved in and the Lennar sales team still hasn’t been able to get their whole team to finish the fan and we still are getting the runaround. But we don’t care because the home is ours. I can’t help but wonder, if I didn’t make a simple phone call, if they would have been still playing games? Absolutely! All due to a missing part on an exhaust fan!! ... More

Helpful and patient with the entire home process

One do not use lennar mortgage they are terrible!!!! I know they say you'll save money that way, but your sanity will pay for it!!! The overall build wasn't bad, but their tile contractor did a terrible job in the master shower. You can't even drive a uhaul no matter the size onto the driveway because the concrete is so thin!! They didn't put a man door in the garage and to close off the garage even more they put the big ol tankless hot water heater on the inside!! Terrible idea!! This is the last lennar home I will buy ever!!!

Check inside refrigerator, how crisper drawer pulls out. Check how manual slider lock in garage was installed. Check your microwave above stove - can you see how it’s cooking. Short people can’t see what is going on.
