I absolutely loved my experience purchasing my Lennar home. From touring the models, going through underwriting and given my keys was perfect and handled professionally. I couldn't be more happier and we are loving our new home.

Home is beautiful, but after some time spent here we've noticed small builder issues like a broken stair step, a dented dishwasher and small errors like hinges, etc. that show it may have been rushed to complete. We have had service to fix these issues, but the communication is somewhat poor as the maintenance windows are usually slightly off from what is communicated to us (arriving earlier than expected etc.) Aside from that house is wonderful, but the buying process was a pain as there were too many hoops to jump through and it seemed as though there wasn't a dedicated agent who truly cared about securing our sale and finding our home. It felt like we were a hot potato in a daycare game as every step someone referred us to someone else to move forward in the process and they ended up delaying our closing date. Would've preferred a single agent handling our homebuying process as we had to keep circling back to our lennar loan agent for updates and follow-ups with sales agents etc. Very frustrating process overall. Only actual relief we were given was when we finally didn't have to deal with a dozen people anymore over a singular issue. ... More

The entire process was exciting and the Lennar team was extremely helpful. The home inspector, Gus, had some wonderful tips and advice that made the process much less stressful and more enjoyable.

Overall, I had a very positive experience purchasing my new home. From the initial sales process through construction, closing, and move-in, the builder's team was professional, helpful, and responsive. They kept me informed throughout the process, answered my questions in a timely manner, and followed through on their commitments. I am very pleased with the quality, design, and value of the home. The layout is functional, the finishes are attractive, and the overall construction feels solid. Any minor items identified during the final walkthrough were addressed promptly. Potential buyers should know that this builder takes customer service seriously and works hard to make the home-buying process as smooth as possible. Buying a new home can be stressful, but the team's communication and support made the experience much easier. The buying experience in the beginning was tough as it was too complicated to actually block my house. There was no follow up when I showed interest. The closing was full of hiccups with issues. The quality of the paint was AWFUL, and the garage walls are even worse because they only put texture to all of it and didn't even bother to paint it. We will likely need to repaint the interior since the paint comes off very easily with a damp rag. In the inside of the house, they used literally the cheapest paint they could find in the market and the same situation with the carpets and vinyl cover for kitchen and bathrooms. After buying, there were a few people like Sam that was always very, very nice and efficient but then when the time went by the refused to fix certain things because we already moved and time passed by. I think Lennar has nice things but then they do a very crappy job in the finishing that makes all the good things less relevant. Last but not least, the water pressure is really low because they didn't installed pumps and most of my neighbors are complaining about it. Lennar Homeowner Survey – Formal Complaint From start to finish, our experience with Lennar has been unacceptable. The sales process was marked by consistent rudeness, dismissiveness, and disrespect from the sales representative. Her behavior made communication unnecessarily difficult and created obstacles at nearly every step. What should have been a straightforward, professional experience became stressful and adversarial because of her conduct. The walkthrough was rushed, incomplete, and clearly not treated with the seriousness it deserved. Numerous is*****s we pointed out were not addressed before closing, despite being documented. After moving in, we discovered even more problems throughout the home — is*****s that should have been caught long before we ever received the keys. The service portal added to the frustration, as it was difficult to use and slowed down the process of getting anything resolved. The condition of the home after closing was far below any reasonable standard. A month after moving in, we were still finding construction debris around the property, and every single light fixture contained debris and dead insects. The home was delivered extremely dirty, which is unacceptable for a new build. More concerning are the construction quality is*****s that raise serious questions about oversight and workmanship. Several windows are not plumb and vary noticeably in size. Multiple walls are visibly uneven or not straight. Some fixtures remain in disrepair, even after attempts to address them. These are not minor cosmetic concerns — they reflect a lack of quality control and attention to detail. In summary, this experience has been one disappointment after another, spanning sales, construction, walkthrough, closing, and post‑move‑in support. We expected professionalism, quality, and care. Instead, we received a home with significant defects and a process marked by disrespect, poor communication, and inadequate follow‑through. Somewhat stressful, but I want to make it clear that a lot of it had to do with the fact that I did not have a realtor. I sold a house through Open Door and purchased this one so there’s kind of a lot going on. I’m sure if I purchased directly my experience of would have been different or if I had a realtor. As far as a team I need to say A++++++ Lourdes amazing. I would say the company in general needs to firm up the process the workflow and the steps with Open Door again this is a product that you guys are actually recommended. I heard about it because of you. I feel like once I was in the flow you didn’t have any ownership so therefore don’t suggest them as a product and I be*****ve you also get a little commission you should tighten up your relationship and that workflow which was kind of disjointed with this whole thing was the fact that you guys weren’t in sync. That being said also I loved Open Door I would have not made this purchase without them. They made it happen for me. It’s just the two of you guys need to get aligned. it is not for everyone, but for my current situation, it was absolutely perfect so I want to say thank you. The next big is***** is a solar I paid for the solar *****. I know it’s not part of the sales process, but it would be great if you had a contact person somebody to help guide through this. We love our new Lennar home and the new community! The only problem we had was on the financial end, the loan officer, and those folks. And in talking to all our new neighbors who were already here when we moved in as well as the neighbors who have moved in after us, we all seem to have the same thing in common….. the lending process was unnecessarily, stressful, and overall not good. So far almost everyone we have spoken to experienced the same thing we did in that it was a lot of “hurry up and wait“ with the worst part being none of us were approved for our loans until a day or two before we were set to move in with the deadline Lennar gave us. This was very stressful in that most of us were also selling the home we were moving from and we didn’t know whether or not we would be approved for the loan in time to meet the deadline that Lennar gave us. We sold our home and moved into our new home in four weeks. Lennar had given us six weeks to do so. So it was very frustrating on the financial side for them to get the loan approved before the due date. Also worth noting, every single one of us have experienced the same thing in regards to the mortgage company. Lennar initially owns the mortgage and then within only a couple weeks of living here the loan is sold off to a different mortgage company. So that was kind of frustrating. In the end, it obviously worked out for all of us, but the loan process could’ve been more expeditious and less hurry up and give me this now and then wait to hear back from me for what felt like a little bit too long. We had a couple minor issues with hardware, etc. which Lennar was very quick in getting someone out to replace so that was great. The Lennar realtor, Jasmine, was fantastic and very helpful as well. This was not a good experience. It was terrible to be honest. Multiple times a week, sometimes daily, for months, I was having to fight for getting my home. Lennar tried steering (which is illegal), tried to act like certain promotions weren’t valid even though I had the marketing emails to prove it. Jason at Lennar mortgage told me this verbatim “You won’t be able to buy this house if you have a million dollars cash.” Which, to make you aware, my home was $854,990. So… that was a fun conversation. They made me apply for my mortgage through Lennar even though I didn’t want to use them. They ran my credit 3 times even though they told me it would be once and it would be a soft pull (all 3 were hard pulls by the way). And then when I brought in my broker and the credit union I used to get my loan, Lennar tried to tell me that they “could not guarantee my incentives” if I went with them and tried to force me to apply with, what they called, a “backup lender”. Even though I already provided them with my pre-qualification letter. This is called steering and that is illegal in the state of California. Over and over again the level of incompetence, manipulation, gaslighting, lying and trying to act like conversations never happened were truly like I was living in an insane asylum. I had to start adding my broker and realtor to every call PLUS I recorded every conversation moving forward for good measure. Oh, regarding realtors… they DO NOT like you using outside agents. Just know that if you plan on using one. But they pay a $20k flat fee to outside realtors so be sure to use your own and bless one of your friends. Keep a close eye on their marketing emails as well because then sometimes you’ll see an extra $5k bonus for your agent. Make sure your agent is with you from the very first time you visit as well because they HAVE TO BE THERE in order for you guys to get the $20k. They of course will not tell you that. Also, keep an eye on their website for the home you want. They told me my house was going to be $874,990 and then they posted it on their website as $854,990 so me catching that saved me $20,000 even though they tried to say it was a mistake. But I had screenshots to prove it and once it goes live, that’s marketing and it has to be honored. A major thing I’ll have you all know is that they NEED to seek these houses. They’re going to negotiate and you will get what you want if you’re willing to fight for it. After 3 months of negotiating, and putting up with their garbage and pushing back on it, I got my house and all the incentives I negotiated for. I promise you can do the same but don’t let them bully you as much as they WILL try. I love my house and I love this area. It was worth the struggle. Now onto the level of construction. These homes are built EXTREMELY cheap. Hollow doors, tons of hollow walls, and there’s dozens and dozens of cut corners to save their cost on building and construction. Pay VERY close attention to your walk through and make sure you hire your own home inspection to be super thorough with everything. Make them fix EVERYTHING. They don’t have to by law for some but if it’s a code issue, they have to fix it. There are still plenty of things that need fixed in my home and it’s been over a month. Sales Esther was excellent throughout the entire homebuying process. She was professional, helpful, and very responsive. She was the person we were most satisfied with during the whole experience. However, there were several disappointing issues. First, we originally chose Lennar’s own home insurance, but due to the staff’s lack of follow-through and delays, the paperwork was not completed for nearly two weeks, which almost caused a delay in closing escrow.This is the most reason I am not happy ,so unprofessional!Second, the workmanship and overall home quality were rough. Some of the issues identified during the walkthrough were still not resolved, and after moving in, we found even more problems. Third, our lender clearly used all of the builder credits in the documents, and everything on their side was very clear. But when we signed the final paperwork, we found errors in the numbers, and not all of the builder credit had been properly applied. It seemed that the documents were not carefully reviewed. ... Very accommodating, helpful and reliable.

I wish I had been informed from the beginning about what an FHA loan truly entails. I was under the impression that I would be able to close quickly, but the process involved significantly more steps than expected, which became cumbersome and frustrating. My advice to first-time homebuyers is to bring your own realtor. The realtor assigned to me by Lennar Hyatt was not helpful and did not provide the level of support I was led to expect. He was not present when I picked up my keys, despite stating he would be available from start to finish. I do want to acknowledge that my loan agents were excellent. They worked hard to support me throughout the process, and I truly appreciated their effort and commitment. ... More

I have purchased three homes from Lennar and am very happy with two of them. I was happy with the third one, too until Lennar failed repeatedly to honor their warranty. I have now had to hire legal counsel to help me with the warranty issues

The Lennar team is great! I’m a first time homeowner and everyone has made this process so smooth! Special shout out to our construction manager Jeff he’s been extremely helpful and friendly throughout the process! We see him on site every day and he’s always asking if we need anything even after our purchase. The whole team has been fantastic and has gone above and beyond answering questions I’ve had as a brand new homeowner. Could not have asked for a better experience!

Everything is fantastic, except the people from Solor They don’t return my calls or e mail ! The house is magnificent. That’s my only complaint.

My contract ultimately fell through, yet I am still receiving customer satisfaction surveys — which itself reflects how disorganized and careless this process was from start to finish. Throughout my experience with Lennar, I felt misled, dismissed, and inadequately supported. I relied on information and representations that did not materialize, resulting in a financial loss of over $40,000. This loss has significantly delayed my ability to purchase another home and has caused long-term financial and emotional distress. At no point did I feel accountability, transparency, or empathy from the company. This experience has permanently damaged my trust in Lennar. I would not recommend this builder to anyone, and I believe prospective buyers deserve to be aware of the very real financial risks involved. ... More

Everyone involved in the purchase of our new home was attentive and caring. Whenever we had a question, they would respond promptly and answered all of our questions. We love our new home, including all the amenities. It was a great experience!

You could have all these some subcontractors just leave flyers on your door handle or on the front door instead of knocking on your door and disturbing you most of the day for the first month that you’re in your new house. Thank you.

Process started with Lennar website posting of house and not honoring price posted. Thank goodness hired my own inspector. Paint in outside drains (illegal in CA), HVAC pad uneven causing vibration and noise, hump in roof and separation of tiles.
