Promote Fidel, address performance issues with the rest.

Since the close only one Lennar employee (Fidel) seems to genuinely care about the customer experience. I’ve had direct experience with 4 Lennar employees. As a former business executive of multi-national companies in the service delivery and customer experience business, and judging from a customer experience perspective, I would promote 1 of the 4 (Fidel), fire 1 of the 4, and put the other 2 on performance improvement plans. I was a cash buyer. I wasn't happy with working with Title company. Customer care after purchase was very disappointed. There was fuse breaker issue with Refrigerator. I requested 5 times and ask sales rep then they finally contact me to fix it. My wooden floor got water damage due to late fix. Water filter in refrigerator leaked due to fuse keeps pop out and ice maker turned off and leak waters on the floor. I have been purchased new home more than 5 times, Lennar was very unprofessional.

We love Lennar’s everything’s included with nicer appliances, countertops, cabinets, whole house fan, ring doorbell, smart lock, garage door, thermostat, etc. However, we discovered a leak in our kitchen island a month after moving in caused by the builder’s carelessness which has caused major inconveniences for us and has taken over a month to fully repair the damage.

Not attention to work details

Fast built but works are not neat. We got crooked attachment plugs, hole in front porch, no shower seal, paints that are already coming off, creaked doors. High ceiling is a plus but still hear people upstairs stomping and moving around so loudly. Thin walls, we can hear people walking upstairs next to our unit. Sales person, loan officers, and customer service are very professionals and answer to all our questions.

A lot of misinformation

The after closing service has been appalling

We were very happy with Lennar when we bought the home and especially our sales agent , Hyatt, but post closing the customer service has been slow, unresponsive and low quality. A number of major issues were incomplete on close and to date have not been resolved. We are frustrated!

At closing make sure you look at ever detail when doing walk through. Test everything to make sure its working.

I would like to express my dissatisfaction with the performance of the underwriter. I found their work to be highly disorganized, with significant delays in both requesting necessary documents and providing approval. This caused considerable confusion and frustration on my part. Due to these issues, I was seriously considering canceling my purchase. I would recommend that no further assignments be given to this underwriter, as their performance did not meet expectations. Lennar is one of the largest homebuilders. I expected so much more from Lennar and our new home. Lennar tried to use the bully/gorilla approach to get us to sign paperwork (even inaccurate contract paperwork), and use all their services (Lennar Title, Lennar Escrow, Lennar Insurance, Lennar Design Center, Lennar Mortgage, etc.). For example, if you don't use both Lennar Escrow and Title, they jack up the price on Escrow fees to make it financially difficult not to use them. They offer incentives when you buy ($20K toward improvements) but then when you go to the design center to choose ...

Overall sales process was a chaotic experience including the walk thru process. Then after move-in, we uncovered many defects/poor quality workmanship. Management should help address reported issues in a timely manner. Lack of responsiveness from warranty/maintenance team.

First Time Home Buyer Nightmare

I went into buying my first home with such excitement. After signing my papers and doing my first walk through of the home, i realized there were many repairs that needed to be done. Even then, i was still excited because i thought everything would be taken care of. As time went on and walk through after walk through, my excitement became less. Lennar - The quality of the work and materials are subpar at best.

The quality of the work and materials are subpar at best. The walls aren't flat making it difficult to hang pictures and some areas have large visible bulges most noticeable where there is plumbing. HVAC system was installed as if someone fired it out of a cannon, particularly where the glue was used to seal around insulation and duct work. Baseboard is wavy and concaves over large areas. Nothing gets resolved in a timely manner or at a time that's convenient in terms of warranty work. Overall very disappointing.

Would never buy a home from Lennar again

When we were touring the homes, it was fine. But once we actually decided to pull the trigger, the experience was downhill from there. Typos in contracts, long wait times for a response to our questions, no response at all from Lennar mortgage loan officer (they tried to bait and switch us but luckily we had an outside lender lined up just in case this happened), and then the home wasn’t even completed by our walkthrough date. And this is just for starters. After closing, we’ve had a roof leak, broken refrigerator, and have noticed shoddy workmanship throughout the home. Definitely not ...

Our sales person mislead us and we received no support from any Lennar leadership. Our initial loan agent seemed to have minimal understanding and provided no guidance. After moving in, our work orders have received very slow response and unprofessional communication. Poor craftsmanship has been shrugged continuously.
