Sales tactics to sell a house poor. Selling for less money to neighbors giving incentives and pretending they nothing about it. The walk thru rep is very poor work ethics I have went a few emails asking got tell and no response. Check out the Facebook page of customer complaints for Lennar. Amazing.

As a Phase 1 buyer, I am deeply disappointed with Lennar’s poor customer service and lack of accountability. I highly recommend that future buyers take their time and do not rush into early phases with this builder. Here are the main issues we are currently facing: Unfair Price Drops: Phase 1 buyers endured high interest rates, constant construction noise, and traffic disruptions. Instead of protecting our investment, Lennar immediately offered massive discounts for later phases, leaving early buyers at a financial disadvantage. Love the home and believe Lennar is a good builder. Lennar’s lending manager we worked with was great, and the person that did our walk through was great, but the sales rep that sold us the home was so bad that we literally almost didn’t buy the house. That says volumes about our experience to almost not choose a home based on the sales experience. She acted like a used car salesman consistently saying things like “well if you can’t commit right now, you’re probably not really ready to buy a house.” She also gave us a shot clock on signing papers and called us 5 times in less than 10 minutes ...

Great buying experience with new home salesperson Build trim and elevations of Orion were solid but not as nice as other Lennar home collections or home builders in nearby Great Park neighborhoods. For example, not having a dedicated range hood and having a microwave/hood combo was a disappointing shortcut taken in the included appliance selection. It’s NOT worth the headache to use Lennar mortgage for the credits the offer. Our loan took over 60 days because Patrick the loan officer was incompetent. Repeatedly asked for the same documents and did not know how to read bank statements. It caused so much stress for my husband and I.

We are excited to find a design and location that fulfilled what we set out to find. Every one in Lennar our third party organized by Lennar we're very knowledgeable and responsive. We have only one serious concern, and that is the organization charged with running the HOA. We have found that the lack of any written landscape guidelines exceedingly annoying. I was so excited to buy a Lennar home, but the escrow experience was horrible. I dealt with unresponsive escrow people, even calling the Homebuyer Concierge rep and never getting any follow up contact, which begs the question as to what kind of concierge services do they provide. The only thing they seemed interested in was getting their money. Plus, there were offers made that we never completed.

Lots of issues. Poor craftsmanship and design. Took us many times of requests to simply fix a door handle. Lots of things are not covered. Windows are scratched up and they won’t take responsibility. Gas was leaking the day we moved in. Dishwasher was dented. Rep said she would replace but later we found that order was never placed. We need to keep following up. They also are being cheap and always try to omit simple, essential items, even if it’s visible (imagine if things are hidden, what would happen). The referred services vendors are worst: 1. Solar company did not set up solar account until today, which is around 3 months already; 2. trash services slow, not on time, expensive; 3. electricity expensive than SCE; 4. window design weird, flies coming in during nights frequently; 5. the financing process frustrated.

Buying a home with Lennar was a nightmare

My experience with Lennar was the worst I could have ever imagined. The Concierge person that I initially worked with never explained a process of a priority list which made us go into a contract on a house we were not 100% satisfied with, this house is on $3M+ price, corporate office was NO help, nobody cared about our concerns. I wrote emails to corporate hoping for some answers because the Concierge rep lied to us and corporate didn't care. Lennar doesn't care about its clients or their experience. Do Not buy from Lennar.

Lennar's buying process was completely disorganized, there was a complete lack of communication, and there are still defects in the home that are not up to code months after my closing. I was passed around to nearly a dozen different people throughout the process from Lennar's sales rep, to Lennar's concierge, to Lennar's lender, to Lennar's designers, etc. To make matters worse, no one seemed to have any information and frequently no one would answer my questions. Let's start with the most horrible home buying concierge Paula, she was extremely rude in all phases. The sales team took our 42K deposit which we were told will get refunded but later on, demanded the same amount from our 1031 exchange agent. The original deposit was never refunded instead got buried inside the loan. The 42,000 I was our hard cash, on top of the 306K down payment. They need agents to handle all situations, in this case, took out money and never wanted to resolve anything after.
