Home buying experience good, just responsiveness with work orders has been taking time (ex leaky faucet, paint, etc) but very friendly staff

The home buying experience has been an interesting one to say the least. I have owned a home prior but not a new home so the steps involved with the new construction process when I moved in has been different. Lennar has contacted me about all of my service / work orders. The issues I seem to be having are because of issues that are not Lennar specific but more of the contacted work. Lennar has been responsive and let me know who I need to call to get things corrected or had that company contact me.

The home is beautiful we love it. Great value for the price. Good customer service. I don’t regret my decision to buy this home. I did experience some concerning issues that could’ve been tragic - tankless water heater gas line nuts were hand tightened and cleared inspection. Gas was leaking in garage when I first walked in, at first it was a faint, vague smell, but on day two I called the gas company. They immediately identified the issue and fixed. Good thing I’m not a smoker or none of my movers smoked or we’d be gone. GFI in garage kept tripping, turning off water heater daily. Electrician was called and discovered the breaker wire in the panel was loose, he tightened it and replaced GFI switch just in case. Carpet edges had nails sticking up in various places. I was stuck by one in the foot that thankfully didn’t pierce. I then inspected the rest of the house and found several others, I fixed those myself with a hammer. Other items we’re minute compared to those two. Called customer care for other items. The vinyl fence was blown off by the winds on day two. Lennar came and reassembled it but still waiting on a missing fence post cap. It seems the fence is assembled like legos, and does not have permanent installation materials like screws or glue. Being this region is known for high winds, I would think construction would have figured out to use stronger materials to withstand. The final observation was the drywall material inside the home is very cheap. It has crumbled very easily when I install curtain rods and shelves. Lots of problem with new builds

We love our new home and the buying experience was a breeze. Starting with Merry. She’s always available to answer questions. The only downfall have been the touch ups and repairs we need. 90% of which were pointed out on our initial walk through. It’s been almost 2 months since we moved in and only 2 repairs have been done. Some repairs have done more damage. The heat didn’t work and there was no thermostat prior to moving in. We were told they would be fixed. Wall are thermostat is so dirty from installation. Heat didn’t work after moving in. When they finally fixed it, the attic access is so dirty. There’s no quality control a lot of defect needed to repair after moving in, materials that were use are not consistent with other homes within the community, no feedback from construction manager when questions were ask about the house.

Even though they have a field rep that is amazing the workmanship of the home I bought is not well put together. My experience with Lennar has not been what I had expected at all. The many issues I have encountered are not small issues and very concerning to me at this point. Electrical issues, pipe leak, AC issues I can go on. Just not a happy home buyer right now.

Disappointing that for the price we paid, the issues that we’re seeing are so careless from the workers and some things are permanent and cannot be resolved.

The buying experience was great. The only thing we could have asked was for a little more communication. The first 9 days in the house were great until the quality of workmanship showed with a major sewage backup. While Lennar responded quickly the weeks to follow were a nightmare with no admission of fault. They actually blamed their plumbing company. I felt like a general contractor trying to get it fixed. People would show up with no idea what they were to work on. It eventually all got fixed but needless to say my new house doesn't have that new feel. To top it off we missed a nice show we had tickets for and Lennars response was sorry we don't reimburse for things like that. Great customer service......not. ... More

My experiences as a first time home buyers was beyond my expectations. Debbie and Cari were not only professional but helpful and compassionate.

We had a wonderful experience buying a home with Lennar, what stood out the most is the professionalism and customer service.

My overall experience buying a home with Lennar was great. The house and the community are beautiful, and the process was mostly smooth. However, the only negative aspect of the experience was dealing with Lennar Mortgage. In the final two weeks before closing, the mortgage process caused a lot of anxiety due to delays, ober the top strict underwriting, and miscommunications, ultimately leading me to switch to another lender. Despite this hiccup, I’m very happy with my new home.

Lennar Sales Team and the Loan Officer made the process pleasant. Thomas and Gail were awesome!! I wish I could say the same about the underwriting process. We started our home buying process six months before closing and we didn’t get our final approval from the underwriter until 3 days before closing. This was such a stressful situation. Imagine going to a design studio and final house tour without knowing the house was yours. Crazy!!! The underwriter did not work on anything until weeks before closing. We moved from a different city and needed to get things settled with our kids schools and activities. I have a special needs son and unfortunately due to the procrastination on the underwriters behalf he doesn’t have continued care. I’m getting everything together but it sucks that lots of these things could have been prevented. Another thing I didn’t appreciate is how they moved my closing date sooner by one day giving me only a one month grace period to be mortgage free. If I closed the day after I would have had two months of grace to pay my mortgage. Some of my neighbors had that luxury but not me. Other than that I love my home. I’m so in love with the layout of my home it fits all our needs. I love the neighborhood. If I had to do it again I would but I would request the underwriter to approve before putting down earnest money and signing a hold. ... More

Lennar build quality comfortable house

Financial Department repeated request at the last hour. Once submitted and complete the first time.

Had a good experience with Purchasing my home at Heritage Lake. The building process went smoothly. Would not recommend the builders lender, they are non-responsive. Save yourself the stress and use an outside lender. But the home is good value.

Front office at the arboretum in Fontana, ca was awesome however, eagle home mortgage was unorganized, poor communication, just terrible.

Good experience for my new home purchase

Overall, a good experience. Just minor details are the only reason for the 4 out of 5 stars. Other than that a great experience.

We sold our previous home of more than 20 years, purchased our Lennar home, closed on both and moved in three weeks. It was very stressful but the assistance and support from the amazing Lennar team (Rosalie, Gail, Vickie) made it less so. We've also had great support from our Customer Care Rep, Vince, to address minor issues. I would recommend Lennar without reservation.

Over all good experience. Appliances were ordered late and went without Refrigerator for a week. Love the home.

We are first time home buyers and absolutely love this house by Lennar. You can tell they took time to think about the design and used high quality materials, our independent inspector was impressed. Since moving in, they have been quick to respond to any warranty issues. Cons- There was some disorganization during the escrow period but I am sure that is the case during most closings. Overall, we choose this company again

Great location, amenities, customer service and small community. Very fortunate to have purchased in Rockport Ranch
