Lennar - Well, I felt during my home buying process, the communication

  • Leon J.

Well, I felt during my home buying process, the communication between different departments was lacking in which it affected me at times. There are too many websites that Lennar has and getting on the portal wasn't user-friendly.

Lennar - Lot of lack of communication, answer or updates from sales.

Lot of lack of communication, answer or updates from sales. Also I have been complaining that might have some issue with the electric installation in the house and it has been kind of ignored . Some specific issues were taken care after 3 or 4 claims but still the breaker keeps going off. It’s not normal that a new house have the breaker off so often. Wish some one could come and inspect in general if everything is ok.

Loan officer Jason was amazing and we’re Extremely happy with his service. Overall, the neighborhood is great however, several items on the house were not completed correctly. Also, very concerned about some of the other items I have brought up…..I have been unable to get a phone call back from Lennar about my concerns. However I would definitely recommend buying from Lennar to my friends and family

Lennar doesn’t build homes like they used to, they went cheap!

  • Jason H.

  • Menifee, CA

I used to think Lennar was the best builder ever! Why? Because they used to install ceiling speakers, cat5 jacks in every room, and not only they Not have that, they have no phone jacks, they decided not to run conduit from the garage to smart box, which the modem is in the garage, and if you want home phone, you need to put it in the garage. They got so cheap they decided to not install the flex conduit and they install the latch on the gate not only upside down but they put it on the outside instead of inside like it’s supposed to, and their excuse? “Oh well, that’s just what was in the ...

The walk through would best be done after move in...overwhelming before. Retention of info would make sense after becoming familiar. Front yard landscape is unappealing. Warn new buyers untrustworthy solicitors seeking landscape, concrete jobs.

The quality of materials used to build the home is top notch. Also the built-in technology is great, such as solar panels, water leak detection, sprinkler system, fire alarm, ring alarm, etc. Customer Care has been quite responsive to resolving issues.

Loan Approval Process

The overall process of buying our home was fabulous thanks to our own personal realtor they were able to provide a very transparent and prompt response to all of our concerns. However this is an issue Lennar needs to address. When working with buyers who are prepared, prompt, and most importantly represented your loan officers should provide better overall customer service. We had offers and pre approvals from other lenders who provided our numbers within 48 hours and Lennars process took nearly two weeks even with all of the requested documents. Overall I still recommended friends to ...

Read every paperwork, contract, and dollar amount.

Home buying experience was mostly okay, but Lennar Mortgage agents were extremely incompetent, and our closing was delayed due to multiple clerical issues with Lennar Mortgage who kept sending paperwork with the wrong amounts owed to us. Also, sales agents are arrogant and rude until you you're in contract, so dealing with anyone at Lennar felt like a chore every-time.

Interior Paint and no medicine cabinets

No medicine cabinets in each bathroom is very inconvenient and will just need to be added, not good. Interior paint appears watered down or just very cheap. So thin any touch leaves a mark

Think Twice before buying in a non home owners area

We bought in a non-home owners association. Think twice about that. Cars, trailers everywhere. Weeds not being taken care of. It’ our mistake but it won’t happen again. Lennar does not control the crime while bldg homes. I think it’s very dangerous here.

Communication with lennar employees was not great. Nobody knew what the other employee was doing. Dates did not line up. One employee would ask me for documents and info that was already given to other employee. Response back to emails from lender and agent was not the greatest

Sales team lies but you already know that

  • Jaime H.
  • Verified HomeBuyer
  • April 24, 2023

Well let’s start with the deception of the sales team or shall I say Abby. She speaks very condescending, she gives false information and misrepresents what you’re purchasing. Then tells you when she gets called out on it “just cancel the transaction then.” Her management doesn’t hold her accountable and they don’t even respond to complaints or concerns so there’s no wonder why she gets away with having poor ethics. I have all this in email correspondence to back this up as well. She is very unprofessional and it doesn’t matter because it seems like a company problem. When we did our walk ...

Nothing Stood Out

Like any other home, I imagine there were small problems that would pop up but were generally quickly handled by Lennar. The sinks in the home all around are absolutely terrible. None are designed to drain food and water. They are mostly flat and therefore don't drain very well. The kitchen sink particularly would have been better off with a 2 basin sink that actually allowed itmes to flow downward and drain.

Lennar needs to improve construction quality. I have to submit 10 work order in the first month after move in. 2 walkthroughs didn't help me to resolve the issues. There is no home security system, not even a ring door bell or keyless smart lock. I found a empty beer bottle on top of my kitchen cabinets. Try to see what you can find in your homes!!

My experience

The home buying process in the beginning was very fast which was good. However, there wasn’t much communication as to what “phase” we were in or status updates after signing the purchase agreement. As first time homebuyers, we were pretty lost with the whole process. The house is lovely, the walk through was smooth & easy. Issues came about after moving in such as no cold water, garage door not hung properly, vent to the bathroom installed without a spring, cracks in the shower floor.. but they were handled in a timely manner for the most part. The team at Lennar title were the most helpful ...

My biggest complaint is the quality of workmanship. I don't have the time or space to list all of the issues but I'll sum it up with this. It must have been bring your kids to work day and they let their kids build the house...drunk!

It was fine with the process, except at the closing escrow, it was kind of disapointed due to 3 times and extended, was hectic and not our fault at all. The quality of materials not specified until now. The issues that we found after the second walk, not yet fixed.
