Customer Reviews

Not a great experience, poor workmanship

My home buying process was a complete nightmare. Initially the process was quite easy, but as we were getting closer to close escrow, there were a LOT of mistakes made on Lennar's end, lack of communication, and extremely inefficient. The quality of materials used was not the best, and the workmanship was poor. Even when I caught issues that needed to be fixed during the walkthrough, there were several items that were never fixed and I either had to fix them myself or go through the complaint process which prolonged even more. I would not recommend Lennar to purchase a home.

Lennar - Inspect your new home on your first walk through and final walk

Inspect your new home on your first walk through and final walk through. Don’t sign off until EVERYTHING and anything you want fixed or changed is done. If you sign off and then complain later their responds will be, “ You signed off on the home.” Take a contractor you trust to inspect the home prior to signing off.

Hasn't even been a month, but a water pipe burst and flooded the first floor and dragging your feet to fix it, unless I email and complain about it. Probably should not send out mass "rate us," emails before checking the recipients, but here you go

Could be a lot better if the Customer Care personally inspect the actual situation of the issue instead of using the "Visual" check. This way the issue will be corrected immediately and effectively. "Visual Check" step creates more over head expenses and wasting time for Lennar Homes process.

Good buying experience.. not the best quality of construction or communication

Buying process was pretty smooth and sales staff was on point and very quick to respond. After closing, the construction and communication has gone down hill. Would strongly consider other builders on my next home purchase. Overall experience was a 6/10.

Sadly, the information from one team to the next gets lost. The client has to constantly remind them of what was told and by whom. Obviously, the client will do it since they are making such an important investment, but the support and guidance provided by Lennnar, especially to first homebuyers, is subpar. Lastly, quality of materials, attention to detail and overall value for the price paid is questionable. There is a general lack of refinement with many details.

Build issues took the joy out of buying a new home

We had a leak in the downstairs bathroom where a nail was put through a cold water line. Mold was found in the walls from the leak and required holes to be placed in the walls and flooring in the downstairs bathroom, hall closet and entry area near the garage. We had a sewage blockage that was noticed in our walk-through. There was carpet installed on the stairs over broken floorboards. There was vinyl flooring placed over a hole in the sub-flooring in the master bathroom. I had to spend a few hours scrubbing white overspray from our flooring because the Lennar representative wanted to come ...

Sending this review because this is apparently the only way to get the attention of submitted trouble tickets. I think that should should say all there is about Lennar caring about home issues. We seem to have been forgotten about as soon as closing happened. And please, work load due to the number of customers is not an excuse.

This is my second Lennar home purchased, the first purchased before the collapse. I had hoped that the resilient economy and lessons learned from the past that the homebuilder is simply in the business of slamming up a bunch of houses without regard to customer experience. The home is very well designed, and the community is lovely, but from the framing to the wiring, to the plumbing, to the cabinets, doors, and windows, the labor used to construct and/or install finishes in this home are semi skilled at best. I am happy with my home, but know it will need to spend an additional tens of ...

When we talked to the new home consultant, it was great. He was very straight forward and answered all our questions. During the first walk through, there were no power so we couldn't test the electricity. The oven was not working; the main bath vent/fan was not working. They were reported and during the second walk through, the oven still was not working; the fan worked but it was out of commission within two days after we moved in. Issues came up rapidly. Light switches not working, oven was still not working, fan/vent was not working. After I reported them, they really took their time to ...

Would have liked to have been better informed during the whole process. Structural and design changes were made during the building process that I wish would have been shared with us. Issues addressed were not completed by final walk through. A month into ownership, we feel that some issues were forgotten about.

I honestly purchased the home due to the location but was not happy and am still not happy with all the active repairs having to be completed due to negligence on the builders part. It honestly feels like they just slapped my home together.

Buying process was not horrible. Home has turned out to be built extremely poorly and needs lots of warranty work. Builder also decided to save money by not completing a retaining wall between the properties resulting in 15k in out of pocket expense to resolve eroding steep hill of dirt builder somehow got the city to sign off on. Stay away from Lennar if you want quality for your money.

Mortgage process team was a nightmare, but the on-site Sales Team is the Dream Team.

We had nothing but radio silence and issues when we were actually going through the buying process with Lennar, however once we moved in, we were taken care of with nothing but white glove service. Anytime we had an issue, or had a repair needed, we were taken care of or fixed up within a week. Crazy to think they were the same company. If only everyone at Lennar operated like the on-site sales team. Thanks to George, Daniel and Klarissa!

First of all, my last name is incorrect. Even in this email for review. I sent at least 10 email and had 5 phone calls over this issue. Half of my paperwork has the wrong name. Same with my dad‘s name, it’s spelled wrong. Even on closing date to sign the docs for the title we had to go a second time, even then it was wrong. So we signed them with the name spelled wrong. After the closing, I still get emails, requesting documents. Even now after 2 months. It’s very unprofessional and annoying. We want to enjoy our home but we have issues after issues. This is my 3rd Lennar home, and thank god ...

Going through Lennar for the mortgage got a better rate, but their people have no common sense. Totally aggravating. Closing was ok. Terrible follow up on punch list items. No call backs. Been in for over a month and they have disappeared, but still building across the street. I would not buy from them again.

Bought a brand new home. A/C already needed fixed. Took 2 weeks to get done and the temperature outside was in the 90s. Also, two months in, we STILL don’t have access to a mail box. Two outlets have stopped working in the kitchen. Solar panels have still not been activated when they said they should be. Overall, disappointed in my overall experience of buying a half a million dollar home.

Lennar Homebuyer Review

Our first homebuyer experience could have been much better had the sales team been much more responsive and kept us up to date on the status of the home. We missed out on the initial home we wanted due to the first sales person, Sheri, not responding to us in a timely manner. The sales person for the 2nd home, Corina, was very friendly once you were able to get ahold of her. After the contract was signed though, we only heard from her if we reached out several times with a question or concern. Even then, we sometimes had to reach out to other people to get an answer. Our closing date was ...

Thank you for sharing your review. We sincerely apologize for the issues you experienced during your Homebuying process. We hope that as a Homeowner, we can earn back your trust and provide a better experience in the future.
