Lack of care and workmanship by Contractors. Lennar staff tries to meet expectations and resolve issues. Wish contractors did the same.

This my my 2nd Lennar purchase, 1st purchase was a great experience, after this 2nd purchase, I could not recommend Lennar Homes in DHS due to vendors/contractors and, they have really cheapened their homes products.

The lack of quality contractors and how poorly finished the home was.

Please DO NOT buy a Lennar home. They come with nothing but headaches and the customer service team acts like they are doing you a favor by fixing things under warranty that should not have been an issue within the first two months of ownership. ie plumbing failures, water leaks, water damage, flooring needing to be replaced, blocked conduit resulting in a delay of internet serviceability, heater not working, and landscaping irrigation problems to name a few. Lennar uses the cheapest contractors to build these homes as fast as they can and the quality really suffers because of that. I bought ...

The company's refusal to replace cheap appliances that do not work.

A couple of decades ago, Lennar was a builder who focused on producing a high quality product at a fair price. Those days are gone. Today, their new homes use the cheapest materials possible. Plastic shower stalls and bathtubs, appliances that don't work. Complaints are ignored even for the most trivial issues, such as trim that needs an extra coat of paint. The decline in quality and attention to detail is shocking if, like us, you've owned a Lennar home in the past. We cannot recommend.

Lennar responded:
Hi James, thank you for sharing your review. We are disappointed to hear about your overall disappointment with the quality and finished workmanship in your new home. If there are any items that require further attention, please do not hesitate to reach out to us at corporatecustomercare@lennar.com, so we can follow-up. - Lennar Customer Care

Bought in the middle of the pandemic and the housing shortage. Sometimes the most prestigious of organizations prioritize gain versus quality. I moved in 4 months ago and it took a lot of effort to address all the poor workmanship and materials. They are still being worked on. I believe the issues I am experiencing could have been avoided if there was accountability on making sure the final product met expectations. No light bulb in the garage and uneven floors (both 1st and 2nd floors) to name a few that should be noticeable but was deemed acceptable by Lennar's inspectors/QA.

Lennar responded:
Hi Jerico, thank you for taking time to write a review. We would like to apologize for the issues you have outlined with incomplete work and subsequent Customer Care. Please reach out to us with any items still requiring attention at corporatecustomercare@lennar.com, so we can follow-up for you. - Lennar Customer Care

Horrible workmanship

The quality of detail put into this house is one of the worse I’ve seen for a builder. You can tell they used some of the cheapest contracting companies around. When trying to correct this issues, you’ll get the run around for months. It’s been five months and I’m still trying to get them to fix items. It’s said that you pay a lot of money for these houses and your treated like scum. Document everything, because you’ll probably be bringing them to court.

Lennar responded:
Hi Tyler, thank you for your feedback about your new home. We are sorry to hear about the quality issues and difficulty in having work completed. Please email us at corporatecustomercare@lennar.com with any items needing attention, so we can research and follow-up for you. – Lennar Customer Care
