Bad communication for first time homebuyers.

First time buying a home and I would say as soon as we signed the dotted line for our home, communication fell off tremendously. It was extremely frustrating when my wife and I tried contacting our home consultant and lender with questions we had regarding our home and mortgage, to the point of no follow ups, no answers at all, and no trust in the process we were getting the best deal we could get in these hard economic times. I would say everything else was good and the home is what we wanted, just the communication with our new home consultant and lender was bad. If they were busy, then ...

Once our offer was accepted the process felt purely transaction and extremely stressful due to lack of responses from a terrible sales agent.

Encourage better customer service from your sales agents. This was a terrible experience overall even if the house is nice.

The customer service was the most unprofessional experience I've encountered in all my years of buying homes. The staff clearly needs customer service training. When people are spending $800,000 on a home, they should be treated with far more respect and professionalism.

Big concrete cracks in my driveway within two months that I moved, but Lennar didn't fix it and said it's not on us you gotta fix it. It's literally first months of living in brand new house they don't take responsibility of fixing it.

Provide buyers option to "uninstall"'or "take out" some standard parts/materials in the house while being built. Makes it easier for when upgrades are done.

Working with the sales office was a positive experience. Once a contract is written up things happen fairly quickly. I did feel on more than one occasion when I needed something from Lennar the response could have been better and follow up on their end needs some improving. The home is lovely and the model choices are exceptional, nothing is perfect so a flaw or two is likely, but the responsiveness is very good from the builder to make things right.

This is the most low quality product(House) I have ever purchased!

This is my second property from Lennar build after I purchased one from Lennar Northlake. Price I paid for this house is 60000 higher. The quality of everything I see at Arbor Ranch is of low quality. Following items are missing as per my expectation...Ring doorbells, Schalge Wifi keypad lock, LIftmaster garage door, GE applicances, Carrier/Lennox HVAC, Leviton electrical switches for entire house. These low quality items are given in the Arbor Ranch property...No doorbell, No keypad lock, Low quality Genie garage opener with no insulation to the door, VillaTherm HVAC, Frigidaire appliances, ...

Lennar responded:

Lennar home buying process was unpleasant at best; home itself is pretty good

I have owned a Lennar home previously that I was reasonably happy with that helped influence my decision to buy another Lennar home. Unfortunately, this was perhaps the most unpleasant home buying experience I’ve had (out of more than a dozen homes I’ve bought in my life). Lennar loan process was very poor and communication was spotty. I ended up closing more than a week late on my loan despite having great credit and significant income / assets. This cost me time, money and was a huge inconvenience. The loan processor was knowledgeable and very responsive at times; however, there ...

Lennar responded:
Good afternoon James. Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. We regret that the homebuying process was not the positive experience you had hoped for. We are glad to hear that you are pleased with your home, and we hope it brings you and your family many years of comfort and enjoyment.

Our seller agent (Ashley) was friendly, helpful and welcoming. Handyman Rod has been quick to respond in correcting a number of issues, including helping us move cabinet shelves that were stuck in place by plastic supports that were very hard to remove. Unfortunately three or four pieces of backyard sod (grass) have died, and no one from the landscape company has returned our calls asking for that sod to be replaced. We hope our backyard lawn will be repaired soon. Overall quality of material in our 1903 square foot home is acceptable, but we did replace the slow drop toilet seat in our ...
