Moving to El Dorado Hills after 39 years in our previous home in Sonoma County was a major decision. Lennar’s step by step process, the personnel assigned to us from sales, move-in to customer care has helped make our transition a smooth move. The floor plan we chose meets our criteria to include an open plan with 9 foot high ceilings, generous windows, large sliding glass doors, energy efficient construction and appliances, fire sprinklers and solar panel system.

Inside of the house structurally also there was a difference in one of the bedrooms. They claim ei but they did not include little things like hand towel holders. Their craftsmanship for details like painting , switch covers installed, base boards is not upto the mark. I thought Beazer was bad and had much higher expectations from Lennar. Plus not much choice for kitchen counter and cabinet upgrades.

We bought at Gala in Folsom and love the house and neighborhood. During our preliminary walk through, there were a lot of issues with attention to details. We were very vocal and met with the supervisor and insisted that the finishes needed to be comparable to the model home. That required changing out windows, repainting trim, cleaning up caulking, etc. We are keeping a list of repairs for the 90 day walk through, including another window that is inoperable and a faulty doorbell/security system. All that being said, we love the house plan and the neighborhood.

Buying a home through Lennar was a smooth and satisfying experience. From the initial walkthrough to closing day, the process was well-organized and professionally handled. The home itself reflects solid craftsmanship and quality materials, and I feel I recieved good value for the price I paid. Lennar's team was responsive and helpful whenever questions came up, and they made sure any issues were addressed in a timely manner. While there's always room for improvement, I felt confident working with them and woul recoomend Lennar to any looking for a reliable homebuilder.

It's hard to read all of these reviews be excited about Lennar, but I thought to provide my honest feedback. First off, no home is perfect, even if new. If you expect that, then the home sale price should have two commas in it, not one. That said, I have had the same cosmetic issues, minor delays, and general warranty concerns others have outlined. I have had nothing but a positive experience with the group that built our home and would like to publicly thank Teresa and John for his quick responses and service.

Lennar 55+ community, a place to belong

Compare to other Lennar home, Heritage has the best looking homes. 55+ community is excellent. The buying process was a bit shaky… we had 6 different people involved and had very idea who they were. We were sent a bunch of docusigns from people I never heard of. Lennar was price and discounts was great.

D. was great to work with, communicated very well and responsive. We closed over the Christmas/New Year holiday period. Due to the holidays and staff on vacation, closing was difficult. Avoid selling or purchasing a home during this time window. Our agent worked hard for us and need to pass on a thank you!

The taping job on my ceilings shows all the joints , especially in the bedrooms. I believe they skipped a coat of mud. They were behind at the time doing my Sheetrock , tape and skim. They had one more coat to put , I went to look the next day and it was textured. I’d rather leave it now the way it is than have them come mess my house up to fix it. Painting was horrible on the exterior. Shadows everywhere through the paint where the paint is not solid and you can see the grey stucco. The sales team, design center and construction mangers in addition to Chris that handles the warranty are excellent and appreciate any questions or feedback we have. The quality of the materials/workmanship from the drywall company was below par. So many mistakes and problems with them after I closed.

Good for active residents but need to address not so active resident who have dogs. Not even a small dog park or grass in the community center for dogs to play. In my estimation about 40% of the residents have dogs. Even Millenials now love dogs :)

Buying a new build was really scary even though we have gone the home buying process before. The representative in the office was very friendly and helpful. Communications was a little delayed but we had questions answered anyway. Loan officer definitely needs to work on their communication. It would take days to get answer and there were times when she didn’t even answer some simple questions which was a little frustrating. There were alot of models to look at and seemed well built. We would recommend to work with Lennar compared to other builders.

We LOVE our new house. Let me start with that. No regrets on buying it. There is a glaring downside though. Every week something else is wrong with the electrical mostly, or occasionally something else. Still would buy again, but they really need to get better at pre move in inspections, and hire competent electricians.

We bought a Model from Lennar. Everything in the Model were purchased in the home buying. Only wished more time was given during the walk thru (2 hours) to discuss items in the Model requiring fix or touch-up. The only statement we were given was we bought the Model in an "AS IS CONDITION". We were sadden that Lennar sells a new home in an As Is Condition. Inasmuch, we were still excited to live in a Smart Home. Wished the builder would have provided additional Smart Devices instead of receiving just the minimum to get the home started.

This is our first home and overall our experience was fine. If it wasn’t for an agent in another Lennar community, I would’ve never bought this home because the Devin the realtor was not very helpful and personable. She was very unprofessional and spoke badly of the Lennar agent who actually helped us. The homes are over priced and don’t match the comps in the area and if you don’t know or negotiate you will be over paying. There are people in our neighborhood who purchased same home for less. We love the house, getting used to the extra bills….water bill is double of our old water bill, taxes homeowners, melrose etc. The one thing that was disappointing is all the overlay of concrete that had to be chipped away before we concrete the north side walkway. All Lennar did was throw dirt over it. We love it here so far, the people here are very nice

Overall the home buying experience has been good. As a new homeowner settling in though, the hurdles to obtain answers to issues that have arisen has been frustrating at times, with many issues having to be gone over multiple times until the correct company is determined.
