Over all not great home buying experience. Customer service wasn’t great during purchase time. There was not much support in choosing option. Was rushed into everything. Home built is good but experience through out the process is very unfriendly. They just want to build home like factory and no respect or care for someone’s expectations and feelings who is spending 100s of thousands of dollars.

Lennar responded:
Good morning, Thank you for sharing your feedback with us. We are sorry to hear that you have not had a good experience with your home purchase. If you would like to share any further details, please send us an email to CorporateCustomerCare@Lennar.com so that we can review and assist.

Disappointed in the condition of the house at point of sale.

Major repair was performed in one bathroom shower enclosure that was cracked and a poor attempt had been made to cover it up. Plumbing noise during use of hot water supply to upstairs bathrooms. Stucco and paint over spray on all outside windows. All countertops and plumbing fixtures had excessive sealant product left on surfaces. The tile floors had excessive grout haze. Doors and baseboards were covered in construction dust. When windows were opened there was literally mud in the sill.

Lennar responded:

Materials it was fine but the only thing im not satisfied is the insulation ( its not insulated well. I can hear my daughter and my Son in the other rooms talking ,just talking. Who build it? Some of the base boards are not tight! I address that but they said it will get better in time. The kitchen cabinets are i think is too high. I know its according to plan, its ok. The garage door has gaps on both sides , the closets down stairs was too small , they were like laughing when we address that and they dont believe me until i send them the pictures ( in the manager did not look into it while ...

My purchase was initially scheduled to close on November 8. I was finally able to move in on November 13. I had to stay in a hotel for two nights, but new clothes because all of mine were packed. I also had to pay the mover storage fees. My sales agent was off on the original closing date and could not be reached. She never informed me the house would not close on November 8. In addition, she failed to put the title in a trust as instructed. On November 8, I scheduled an appointment with Comcast to install my internet. I went to the sales office to get a key to let the installer in ...

House and Community Built Without Much Thoughtfulness

We bought our first starter home from Lennar some years ago and had a positive experience about it, so we thought “why not” when we received a call from the new home consultant about the availability of a lakefront property at Northlake, a community four miles from the Sacramento Metro airport. We couldn’t be more wrong! Sales – I am one of those buyers who was willing to pay more for upgrades. It is apparent that Lennar cared more about how they got the job done quickly than customer satisfaction. There were either no or very limited upgrade options to choose from - cabinets, ...

I wish I'd known about the builder. We would've bought an existing house and not had to deal with the disappointments. Inspect your home thoroughly!!! Huge gaps between the floors and the walls. We've had major repairs for things in the first month that couldn't have actually been inspected, let alone pass inspection!?!

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback with us and I apologize for any issues you have come across during your building experience. We love our house but I am worried about how it’s going to last. Lennar seemed great before our house was sold but we have seriously struggled to get any of our warranty work done. They are unresponsive and often just don’t show up when scheduled. It’s been months and the works not done. Following up with them gets exhausting.

I bought the house in April and have experienced major problems with the home. As soon as I moved in had a problem with my drip system which causes the water to drip 24/7 and my water usage/bill to be high for four months. In addition, my breaker for my fridge constantly went out and caused a flood in my kitchen and food to spoil several times. Now my windows are leaking water in the house because it was not installed correctly. Such a headache and emotional stress with buying the house. When I also asked for a reimbursement with my food they stated they needed receipts. How would I ...

Great Sales Staff/Disappointing Warranty Service

  • Arthur W.

  • Folsom, CA

We had a wonderful experience with the sales staff and this review is not for our rating of them. We have had a very poor experience with getting home warranty work taken care of and have found the quality of the workmanship to be poor. We feel like some of the trades just slapped the house together and do not take any pride in their work. The tile and cabinet trades have been no-shows 4 times now. Extremely irritating as our time is valuable and it’s seems like after they have our money, we just aren’t important.

Low quality especially for the price

Where to start...cheap cabinets with very poor installation (lots of exposed raw wood, drawers that don't close properly) poorly installed island countertop, cracks in drywall and cement, major ant problem, refrigerator circuit breaker flipped twice in first few months, and what makes it even worse is that Lennar does not follow through on repair requests. I get the feeling they hope I'll get tired of asking and just give up.

They built the different house than we requested and signed up for. We wanted a 5-bed not a 4-bed house and found out they did the opposite to a neighbor 3 doors down which leads me to believe they just got the plans mixed up. We didn’t find out until the final walkthrough and the closing process was disjointed and took longer than it should’ve. The initial sales rep was great but everything after that was a struggle at best. The after care team has been good though.
