Poor granite choice

I have had granite in 3 other homes and never had to seal it right after purchase. Home Depot gives a 15 year warranty on their granite purchases for kitchens and bathrooms. After I moved in I started to get stains on my granite in the kitchen and bathroom and that is when I found out I had to seal it. They have a full page disclosure in the thick purchase contract that covers them that they are not responsible for stains in granite. Very convenient. I put a sack of oranges on the granite and one leaked and now I have a huge stain on may brand new counter. I called a professional ...

Buying and home closing experience was good. After we moved in, paint from several doors started to peel off within days. Front lawn irrigation was not programmed properly. Lawn dried up by the time we noticed.

As expected the overall build quality and the materials used are great. It was been a great experience with the sales team, mortgage team and the post sale representative. When I have created tickets for issues, the response and scheduling could use a lot of improvements

Sloppy workmanship. While it is great that Lennar gives you a full year to file issues that you find with your new house and they would come and fix at no cost, I'd rather not have to do that. Especially on kitchen cabinets and outdoor paint job. These are issues that are easily spotted.

The response time for questions on the solar system was not responsive until 3 weeks after signing then they answered my phone call. Sunnova doesn't answer the question they give you an excuse and it isn't their fault. They point the finger at everyone else. It is going on 2 months since I signed and ownership was ours. We still don't know where in the process of getting our systems rook up and online line. There departments don't talk to each other. When you call you only talk to the new service department which isn't kept informed by the connections department as to what step in the ...

Do not appreciate HOA slow response and government like attitude. Had I known about the level of control, I would not have purchased a home from Lennar.

Low quality build compared to Phase 1

Lennar really dropped the ball on Phase 2. Quality of everything was lowered yet the price increased. Phase 1 had GE Monogram appliances, open rail staircase, finished garage walls, tile roofs and the same was expected of Phase 2 considering the price increase, yet Lennar closed off the staircase, switched to Frigidaire appliances, and unfinished garage walls and asphalt shingle roof. Higher end finishes were also shown online but none of these were included in the home. Noticed many work that was unfinished after moving in. Good thing we have the warranty for a year, but you would think for ...

Love the home. The mortgage process was rough.

We have been very happy with our new home. The neighborhood is beautiful. The quality of the material is great. I like that most of the design features are chosen for you or are at least narrowed down to a few options that you know will look good. My wife and I get overwhelmed with a lot of decisions so that was useful for us. My one complaint is that it was highly encouraged to use their lendor, and our guy did not seem to know what he was doing. But overall, we love the house and neighborhood.

The quality of the framing and finish leaves much to be desired. The second-floor creaks, and the plywood on the second floor isn't laid in a staggered pattern. The ceilings aren't even because the builders didn't level the trusses before installing the drywall. Buyers aren't given a blue tape inspection before closing where they could point out deficiencies. So, we have to live in the house and wait for them to fix these issues under warranty, if that even happens.

Not a great first time home buyers experience..

First, I never saw my sales rep and in my opinion it just felt like and we were treated like we were just another sale for him (his name is Michael). he wasn’t even there when it was the day to get the keys.. so we actually never saw him except for briefly when touring the homes. I don’t think that’s a great first time home buyers experience to not have established a good relationship with your sales rep and have them not be present for anything. We actually spoke more to the other sales rep (Daniel I think) and he was pleasant and helpful! As for customer service, Adrian has been great, very ...

Selecting Home and Lot

  • Robert D.

There was a large selection of home styles and lot locations. Once you decide the size and design of the house you want be sure to ask on what lot this style of house will be built. You can't pick a lot and say I want my house here. The style of house and what lot it will be on has already been decided in the master plan. Then ask what is the release date for that lot and when will the house be finished. Lennar is very good with their projections of when a home will be ready to move in. You need this information so you can plan the sale of your home and when you can move into the new Lennar ...

The concierge service was very stern handed with Lennar and did not give choices or was not flexible at all with times and dates compared to a private realtor that bends over backwards and works with your schedule, not vice versa called maintenance on a couple plants in the backyard that we’re dying and I got told it was my fault after only living on the property for two weeks And refused to replace

My honest Lennar review

Here is my honest review of my experience so far. To begin, we love our house and would consider buying from Lennar again. But the buying process was not problem free so just know you have to advocate for yourself early on. Do not sign off on the walk-through until ALL issues are resolved first. We closed escrow in September 2024. Lennar Mortgage and Title did not communicate with each other very well. We had to keep on top of our closing date because Title said they did not receive the paperwork from Mortgage and Mortgage said we just had to wait to hear from Title. It was very ...

My first home was with lennar it was an excellent experience. I keep referring to the friends. But the second Home at this new community Northlake, buying experience was not that great. They have cut down so many features from what they displayed on the model homes. When I asked the reps their constant response was "lennar has gone cheap". Yeah the quality is not that good compare to homes built back in 2018. This home is not properly insulated. I can hear the voices from the downstairs to upstairs and one room to another rooms. Having lot of issues especially the HVAC system. Which makes lot ...

It would have been good to discuss with the customer before submitting the application so that there is enough room to negotiate the expected prices. However the person tried their best to negotiate, but since this was our first home buying experience, we thought that it could be a little better and transparent
