It seemed to me that the communication was lacking, we had to buy from Lennar because it was a new home, but I would not recommend them as a mortgage company.

Over all not great home buying experience. Customer service wasn’t great during purchase time. There was not much support in choosing option. Was rushed into everything. Home built is good but experience through out the process is very unfriendly. They just want to build home like factory and no respect or care for someone’s expectations and feelings who is spending 100s of thousands of dollars.

It was my partner & I’s first time purchasing a home and working with Prav (lender) and Devin (sales) was a PAIN. I would receive smart remarks from Prav on important questions I genuinely needed answered throughout the buying journey and after. Devin would never get back to me, timely. UPS could take 3-5 business days and I still would not get a response back from her. You guys excluded my personal realtor from the experience so who else can guide me other than you two? HORRIBLE. One frustration after another.

Most of the salespeople were the WORST. I sent the same scanned documents over and over again but was repeatedly asked for them by various people in different states .One finance person emailed me every day for six days in a row asking me for documents that had been sent. He didn't respond to my texts or emails and finally admitted he never opened the files I had sent. The same happened with another rep in another state. My last name is 6 letters long, but it was REPEATEDLY misspelled in documents, even on the day I signed the final documents with the Notary. My SSN was entered incorrectly ...

Well when signing the papers they had one that was a charitable contribution that was going to come out of my pocket when I sold that. I refuse to sign it and sent it in as decline. 2 weeks later I'm in the moving van heading to unpack my truck when I get a call. You're not going to give me my keys unless I sign that paper. Lennar kept me in the dark the entire process, only to allow my escrow to fall past closing date twice, inwhich later I decided to go with a different lender which got me approved within 5 days. This was absolutely no fault of my own or from not providing documentation requested. I was beyond responsive and provided everything they asked for timely. Terrible Follow Through by Sales Agent and Finance

Paperwork is ridiculous

The volume of paperwork that could not be changed nor copied to have someone else look at it was ridiculous. Why send it if no changes can be made. We have not been impressed with the electrical outlets in the house.

Contracts messed up, Multiple issues with home, tough to get help

Lennar people had multiple mistakes on closing contracts and it was not easy to get is all corrected as their first reaction is blaming instead of accepting the mistakes and working on corrections. Home was handed over with many issues and I was only able to get some of them fixed after many requests.

Many issues with the home that still remain. Sloppy finish work that looks like it was rushed. Expected a lot more for the price and how the Lennar representatives boast about their product.

Lennar mortgage is the reason for the low scores in some areas. The lennar lender assigned to us (craig) caused unnecessary stress to our whole family. He took 3 months to finally submit to the underwriters and we were turned down. He did not submit all of our income and refused to talk to us when I asked to review the income amounts He had entered. We had to resubmit the same paperwork multiple times all for nothing. This was the most difficult purchase of real estate that I have experienced in my 50 years of real estate investment. The entire staff need to be retrained. The title company group was the worst!

Worst experience ever. Completely unresponsive to any question we had. The minute we signed the agreement to purchase and sent over the deposit it was all down hill and a horrible experience. Buying are first home was suppose to be a memorable happy experience and all I have is frustration and buyers remorse because how bad the customer service was. 100% will not recommend buying a new Lennar home to anyone.

Tough Process Leading Up to the Purchase

They built the different house than we requested and signed up for. We wanted a 5-bed not a 4-bed house and found out they did the opposite to a neighbor 3 doors down which leads me to believe they just got the plans mixed up. We didn’t find out until the final walkthrough and the closing process was disjointed and took longer than it should’ve. The initial sales rep was great but everything after that was a struggle at best. The after care team has been good though.

In short, the home buying experience was not pleasant, and in many ways, did not satisfy our needs. The process was made even more frustrating by the continued demonstration that Lennar and its process were more important than any of the customer’s interests or needs.
