We bought our first starter home from Lennar some years ago and had a positive experience about it, so we thought “why not” when we received a call from the new home consultant about the availability of a lakefront property at Northlake, a community four miles from the Sacramento Metro airport. Contracts messed up, Multiple issues with home, tough to get help

Lennar people had multiple mistakes on closing contracts and it was not easy to get is all corrected as their first reaction is blaming instead of accepting the mistakes and working on corrections. Home was handed over with many issues and I was only able to get some of them fixed after many requests.

Moving to El Dorado Hills after 39 years in our previous home in Sonoma County was a major decision. Lennar’s step by step process, the personnel assigned to us from sales, move-in to customer care has helped make our transition a smooth move. The floor plan we chose meets our criteria to include an open plan with 9 foot high ceilings, generous windows, large sliding glass doors, energy efficient construction and appliances, fire sprinklers and solar panel system.

Inside of the house structurally also there was a difference in one of the bedrooms. They claim ei but they did not include little things like hand towel holders. Their craftsmanship for details like painting , switch covers installed, base boards is not upto the mark. I thought Beazer was bad and had much higher expectations from Lennar. Plus not much choice for kitchen counter and cabinet upgrades.

Here is my honest review of my experience so far. To begin, we love our house and would consider buying from Lennar again. But the buying process was not problem free so just know you have to advocate for yourself early on. Do not sign off on the walk-through until ALL issues are resolved first. We closed escrow in September 2024. Lennar Mortgage and Title did not communicate with each other very well. We had to keep on top of our closing date because Title said they did not receive the paperwork from Mortgage and Mortgage said we just had to wait to hear from Title. It was very ...

Lennar made my first time home buying experience a breeze. It started with Kristiina who was a wonderful sales agent and made us feel comfortable and welcome. She was patient with all of my first time home buying questions I had. Next was Brian with Lennar mortgage. He also took the time to answer all of the questions I had and helped me get a great interest rate. Many issues with the home that still remain. Sloppy finish work that looks like it was rushed. Expected a lot more for the price and how the Lennar representatives boast about their product.
