Selecting Home and Lot

There was a large selection of home styles and lot locations. Once you decide the size and design of the house you want be sure to ask on what lot this style of house will be built. You can't pick a lot and say I want my house here. The style of house and what lot it will be on has already been decided in the master plan. Then ask what is the release date for that lot and when will the house be finished. Lennar is very good with their projections of when a home will be ready to move in. You need this information so you can plan the sale of your home and when you can move into the new Lennar ...

Sloppy workmanship. While it is great that Lennar gives you a full year to file issues that you find with your new house and they would come and fix at no cost, I'd rather not have to do that. Especially on kitchen cabinets and outdoor paint job. These are issues that are easily spotted.

These homes are thrown together so fast, the quality of workmanship from subcontractors are horrible!!

The houses are poorly built not enough insulation between floors trim work is shoddy too many items to mention on this I wouldn’t recommend their homes

The only suggestion I have is that the position of the outside faucet not place to the side of the house, there should be at least one faucet near the front of the house or near the garage

Poor granite choice

I have had granite in 3 other homes and never had to seal it right after purchase. Home Depot gives a 15 year warranty on their granite purchases for kitchens and bathrooms. After I moved in I started to get stains on my granite in the kitchen and bathroom and that is when I found out I had to seal it. They have a full page disclosure in the thick purchase contract that covers them that they are not responsible for stains in granite. Very convenient. I put a sack of oranges on the granite and one leaked and now I have a huge stain on may brand new counter. I called a professional ...

Please pay close attention to concrete work that is inferior to most builders in the region. The landscape provided is far the worst I have seen for a new home. (many dead or dying, cheap plants)

Materials it was fine but the only thing im not satisfied is the insulation ( its not insulated well. I can hear my daughter and my Son in the other rooms talking ,just talking. Who build it? Some of the base boards are not tight! I address that but they said it will get better in time. The kitchen cabinets are i think is too high. I know its according to plan, its ok. The garage door has gaps on both sides , the closets down stairs was too small , they were like laughing when we address that and they dont believe me until i send them the pictures ( in the manager did not look into it while ...

Great until you’re house closes

We love our house but I am worried about how it’s going to last. Lennar seemed great before our house was sold but we have seriously struggled to get any of our warranty work done. They are unresponsive and often just don’t show up when scheduled. It’s been months and the works not done. Following up with them gets exhausting.

Major repair was performed in one bathroom shower enclosure that was cracked and a poor attempt had been made to cover it up. Plumbing noise during use of hot water supply to upstairs bathrooms. Stucco and paint over spray on all outside windows. All countertops and plumbing fixtures had excessive sealant product left on surfaces. The tile floors had excessive grout haze. Doors and baseboards were covered in construction dust. When windows were opened there was literally mud in the sill.

I had an an amazing experience with my sales agent, my home was built fairly quickly. We closed on time. No issues with my walk through. Everyone I met with was amazing. Anytime I need help with anything now that I'm in my home I put in a request and they come right out. I'm very pleased and satisfied and have no complaints. As far as materials and products go there are a few things that I see that could be better....for instance the paint is chipping on the corner of my walls and that started immediately after I moved in. I wish I'd known about the builder. We would've bought an existing house and not had to deal with the disappointments. Inspect your home thoroughly!!! Huge gaps between the floors and the walls. We've had major repairs for things in the first month that couldn't have actually been inspected, let alone pass inspection!?!

The buying process was easy. The person who worked with us was wonderful. The whole team was responsive and helpful throughout the whole process, start to finish. However, our initial appointment with your title company was a disaster ( no show and no call). We had to contact them to find out what was going on. Very disorganized and making excuses. We do have some issues with the cabinets and baseboards, that have not been resolved. We are pleased with the model we chose and neighborhood. Lennar builds a nice home.
