I like the house but....

The sales team was awful, basically ignored any questions I had and pushed me to sign paperwork before reading and reviewing. There was a point where they had an inaccurate box checked in the contract and kept pushing me to sign it anyway.

We haven’t moved in. When we talked about landscaping plan with the contractors, suddenly a cover?/ something fell off from the ceiling. One of cabinet inside shows a crack which we didn’t notice during the walkthrough. The bottom of bedrooms door is not even.

From the home buying to understanding how everything in our new technologically advanced home works to understating and getting solar up and running. The common theme is that you are left to figure it all out on your own. 6-weeks into being in my new home and I’m still without solar.

Lennar responded:
Good afternoon Brian. We appreciate the opportunity to learn from homeowner feedback as we continue improving our processes. If you have any outstanding warrantable concerns, please submit your warranty/service request through your Lennar Account. This ensures your request is documented, prioritized appropriately, and allows you to track its status in real time.
Sincerely,

Lennar Corporate Customer Care

Terrible experience

We originally had our own realtor, but were told he wouldn’t get paid because he wasn’t with us during our first tour, so we were basically forced to work with Leah instead. The entire experience felt rushed from start to finish. Anytime we had questions about the house, Leah always seemed annoyed or inconvenienced. The house itself also feels very cheaply made and poorly thought out in a lot of ways. The hardwood floors already feel uneven and bumpy in certain spots, the counters scratch incredibly easily even though we’ve been very careful, and a lot of the design choices just don’t ...

Rough experience with Lender and team

While the build quality of the home is excellent, the customer service was disappointing. Communication was poor throughout the process, with a noticeable lack of updates or follow-up. Furthermore, HOA fees spiked by 20% without notice just one month after closing.

Thank you for sharing your feedback. We appreciate hearing the positive aspects of your experience and are sorry that other areas did not meet your expectations. Your comments help us improve our processes moving forward.

Homebuying experience is not like what it used to be

I bought my third Lennar home and while I am overall pleased with how this homebuilder approaches building (ie. love the all inclusive simple pricing), quality of homeowner support and buying process has definitely gone down. There is not much personal relationship or customer service and more like a mass factory with a lot of their workers overextended. I miss the one individual that you can call & the mariad of home warrenties, manuals and personal support that used to be the purchasing experience. I get that we have apps and can download instructions, etc. but this is one of the largest ...

Wonderful Experience with Lennar in Purchase of our First Home

We are so thankful for our wonderful team members from Lennar: Lee, Lisa, Lindsey, and Jim for their exceptional help on our journey in purchasing our first home. This experience from the start has been a mixture of emotions - excitement, anxiety inducing, scary at times, and many unknowns. This team helped answer ALL of our questions and really made sure that the process was a smooth one. We managed to close escrow in less than 30 days, all thanks to their help! Our Agent is also pleased with the quality of work produced by Lennar and team. We are absolutely in love with our home and the ...

We just moved in and already noticed a lot of things were missed during the turnover. This would have been prevented if the site supervisor is more thorough with checking each unit before turnover. We already submitted a couple of service request for things that are avoidable in the first place.

Don’t buy - Lennar Homes – North River Farms

  • John Edward M.

  • Oceanside, CA

Where do I begin. The purchasing process was rigid and inflexible, no contingencies, no flexibility, take it or leave it. Not a great way to start what should be an exciting experience. The move-in was a mess. There were serious communication problems between Lennar and our external lender, and their financial systems felt outdated and slow. On top of that, we had a package deal that included a washer, dryer, and refrigerator — and they tried to back out of it and offer a credit instead. It took multiple heated conversations just to get what we were originally promised. We were ready to ...

Frustrating

Extremely frustrating to work with. The escrow/lending process was a nightmare they do not communicate at all. They would ask for paperwork but not be specific then they wouldn’t respond. We would send them what they asked for then a week later they would ask for it again because someone was off or somebody else took over your paperwork. Some of them are rude and I was told well I’ll get to it when I get to it if I have time. Then even after I signed me deed and everything was done they called me a month later asking for more paperwork that they already had. If they didn’t offer the incentives ...

Repair Issue

Overall the buying experience was good. There were a lot of emails that could be consolidated to avoid confusion during the buying process. The one issue we are having is, since we bought a model home, many of the options purchased are not standard and therefore repairs do not get completed in a timely fashion.

Very bad design. Very pool quality

The design very poor. Here are some examples. 1. light switch located far away from entrance. You cannot turn on the lights you get into the house. Need to walk quite a few steps to get to the switch. This can be potential hazard, 2. window location at the entrance is bad. In stead of facing to the sidewalk, it faces to the neighbor. This makes the window is completely useless. 3. The powder room is so tiny. You cannot get in/out the bathroom easily. This can also be potential hazard 4. All faucets are very cheap. Windows are hard to open/close. 5. One light above the stairs ...
