Not honoring walk through issues. Cheap appliances, tankless hot water systems wastes so much water waiting for hot water.

Yeah…. Big let down. Stove so cheap you can feel heat outside of oven when on. Cheap oven controls. Tankless hot water may save electricity but waste tons of water daily waiting on hot water. Fan in laundry room continues to run 24/7. Even after switch changed out. Parking on both sides of streets makes where only one car can barely go down a street. Neighbor ghetto up by this.

This was our second time purchasing a new home, with our first being a few years ago through Shea Homes. Unfortunately, our experience with Lennar has been far less positive in comparison. From the start, communication was inconsistent and frustrating. It often took multiple emails just to get a response, and there seemed to be a lot of miscommunication between different members of the Lennar team. The house was a complete mess. There was trash and debris everywhere. There is still paint stains all over the carpet. The dishwasher was leaking on first use. The heating system had no power to it, the ring doorbell has no power going to it. The front door and outside of the house paint was incomplete. The weather stripping on the front door was missing. My overall moving experience was horrible and what should have been a happy moment was replaced by buyers remorse and frustration. I would not recommend Lennar as a new build.

Rushed, cheap work

Closing was rushed, certain appliances and utilities weren't even on/installed by the time of 'final walkthrough.' Not sure why there was a final walkthrough when the home was clearly not ready, not to mention paint everywhere. Worksmanship was mediocre and looked cheap. Multiple door handles loose/falling off, extremely dirty everywhere, some panels on inside falling off, all while being rushed to sign documents for close. Worst customer service all around

Sure Lennar builds homes in highly desirable areas and their pricing is competitive. However, I've had the absolute worst experience from day 1 to closing with nearly all of Lennar's representatives. I strongly recommend if you decide to buy a Lennar home to use your own real estate agent, even if you have to pay him/her since Lennar does not offer buyer commission in sought after communities. Also hire a general inspector prior to final walkthrough. If I have to start again, I will only buy ready to move in house. We were promised to close our house house on march and we got the house on September. They delay it for 6 months. Because of that we are paying $850 more every month. Key hand over process is lame. I am buying a house not a toy. They handover the key at outside of the garage and he/she left the welcome goodies bag on the floor. It was awful.

Terrible Escrow Period

The builder was delayed over 7-months. Lennar did not communicate well with their customers, costing their customer tens of thousands of additional dollars. We found out that we were getting our house keys with less than 24 hours notice.

Within 3 months of moving in, these were the issues with my home: 1. Broken heater due to faulty part 2. 3rd floor bathroom clogged 3. Broken water heater 4. Unfinished door handle for bathroom 5. I put a deposit on the home in May 2024 and notified expected move in date was October 2024. From May to October there was very limited communication from the builder. Someone finally reached out in OCT and I was able to tour the home twice on separate occasions. No indication before hand that the first appointment. I would be "blue taping" the home. I was given barely an hour to mark up the home with areas to fix. One item in particular I marked was that the fire alarm was beeping. I recommend taking pictures / videos of the blue tape areas. Had a severe hot water pipe leak a day after moving in. Lennard’s customer rep assured us we’re not responsible for repairs, including a $790 third-party plumbing job on Sunday. Despite numerous email requests, Lennar ignored us.

The Lennar team (from sales to finance to post-move in customer service) — everyone was nearly horrible and not worth the money they are paid. I could spend many hours explaining every situation and how bad of an experience this was but to sum it all up. Some of the sales agents are rude and don’t care. The finance team SUCKS and will try to feed you to another company that clearly they will benefit from. The quality team might not actually ensure that important needs are addressed before closing. The builders use VERY cheap, low-end finishing and throw the house together (so expect issues). ...

There were a few major issues in this house after it was closed on 7/26/24. I received keys after closing on 7/26/24, there were no blinds and no cleaning at all (lots of construction remains everywhere). Reported Leaking water from the 2nd floor and garage on 8/6/24. Quality issues especially with the electrical components of the home. Fuses blow every other day and at the moment, our electric car cannot be charged because the 220V plug does not bring juice to the electric car charger. Its an every day task to go out to the garage and reset a fuse that tripped in various rooms of the house. The final delivery of the home keys was ridiculous. Very expensive house not worth the money. Lennar give you incomplete house. My house was with no gutters and took them 6 to 7 weeks to install gutters. Garage door still missing side trim. Horrible electricity, when plugged any device it tripped the circuit breaker. Windows are not soundproof. Bad window screens can’t pull up or has no pull tabs. Doors are defected. I am a repeat customer with Lennar. Technically I purchased with Cal Atlantic my first home and about a month before closing, Lennar took over. However, my home stayed with Cal Atlantic team until closed and it was a wonderful experience from beginning to finish. The Cal Atlantic sales team was thorough and welcoming and even met me on the day of move in to walk my home. I never put in a single work order.
