Repair Issue

Overall the buying experience was good. There were a lot of emails that could be consolidated to avoid confusion during the buying process. The one issue we are having is, since we bought a model home, many of the options purchased are not standard and therefore repairs do not get completed in a timely fashion.

Very bad design. Very pool quality

The design very poor. Here are some examples. 1. light switch located far away from entrance. You cannot turn on the lights you get into the house. Need to walk quite a few steps to get to the switch. This can be potential hazard, 2. window location at the entrance is bad. In stead of facing to the sidewalk, it faces to the neighbor. This makes the window is completely useless. 3. The powder room is so tiny. You cannot get in/out the bathroom easily. This can also be potential hazard 4. All faucets are very cheap. Windows are hard to open/close. 5. One light above the stairs ...

The lennar mortgage experience i was worst. The mortgage consultant from lennar tried his best not to provide the credit which lennar promised. Basically he tried to make money for lennar by not giving the credit that was promised to the consumer . Be very Careful when handling with lennar mortgage

Zero quality in the build. Zero craftsmanship Multiple problems not fixed. Lennar considers everything cosmetic or within “variance” Do not buy as they will not fix items and disniss your warranty issues. .

We feel that the interest rate incentive was a bare and switch. We were told we could get the 1.99% but then when we went to buy we were told we had to close by the end of the month.

Paper work was a nightmare considering we could have paid cash for the condo. My wife did weeks of computer work with your company to get things done. Maybe it was because we were out of state buyers. It was very difficult I thought.

Salesman was unhelpful and uninterested. Katie later got involved and was a gem and her help caused us to continue on with Lennar because the other salesman was unresponsive and when we finally got in touch with him, he gave us incorrect information. Once we purchased and moved in, there was a lot of poor drywall work throughout the house. Most is being addressed by Lennar. There was not any follow up to help with solar panels setup or any other setup of technologies that came with the house. There is no one reaching out to see if everything upon move in is ok. They want you to Use the app ...

Lennar Homes – Communication Needs Improvement

  • LC R.
  • Verified HomeBuyer

The overall home-buying process with Lennar was smooth, and the home itself met expectations. However, the delivery-day communication was disappointing. The agent called around 9:00 AM while I was signing the contract. I returned the call around 11:00 AM, but the call was never returned for the rest of the day. This was the day before Thanksgiving, which made the lack of follow-up especially frustrating. Better communication on delivery day would greatly improve the experience.

Disappointed with Lennar: Rushed Process and Poor Communication

This was our second time purchasing a new home, with our first being a few years ago through Shea Homes. Unfortunately, our experience with Lennar has been far less positive in comparison. From the start, communication was inconsistent and frustrating. It often took multiple emails just to get a response, and there seemed to be a lot of miscommunication between different members of the Lennar team. We consistently felt like the process was being rushed to the finish line, and unfortunately, that urgency was reflected in the overall quality. At our scheduled home walkthrough, the ...

Everything is so rushed. No front yard landscaping or drains. Sidewalks are mainly dirt??? It causes mud and a mess everywhere so everyone just walks in the street. Good luck getting your solar to work after closing. Nice parks and open areas with commercial space. Items after closing have been completed for the most part.

We were very pleased with the purchasing process. The financial people were very helpful and responsive. The quality of the workmanship is a b+. We have had nothing but trouble trying to get the solar operational. The company they have turned it over to, never returns phone calls or emails. Other than a few warranty issues that have hopefully been resolved, we're very happy with the purchase. They have been doing a lot of work on the landscaping, and it looks very nice.

Disappointing

The house was a complete mess. There was trash and debris everywhere. There is still paint stains all over the carpet. The dishwasher was leaking on first use. The heating system had no power to it, the ring doorbell has no power going to it. The front door and outside of the house paint was incomplete. The weather stripping on the front door was missing. My overall moving experience was horrible and what should have been a happy moment was replaced by buyers remorse and frustration. I would not recommend Lennar as a new build.

Lennar responded:
Good afternoon Jessica. We understand how frustrating this situation must be and appreciate you sharing your experience with us. We recognize that sometimes concerns may arise after the purchase, and we want you to know that if any warrantable items are still pending, please send details and reference this review to CorporateCustomerCare@Lennar.com so we can assist you where possible. Lennar is a volume builder, meaning they build fast and without great attention to details. The best example would be that the paint is sloppy, with overspray everywhere, including the countertops, cabinets, floor, etc.

At this point we have placed approximately 15 "warranty" items that need to be corrected. That was over one month ago, and nothing has been done, nor have we been contacted. I would suggest to future homeowners to refuse to close on the home until all items are in good working order.

The Lennar team was very personable, but it’s clear they are overextended, with more work than they can reasonably manage. As the home neared completion, the contractor’s quality noticeably declined. The finish work was subpar, and it appears the focus was placed on quantity rather than quality.
