Not a very good experience.

There is a lot of issues in the house like electrical, paintings, dirty windows etc. we did mark some of it during the walkthrough but they just remove the tape but not fix. I placed request for repair but some contractors takes time to respond and come. We closed in August but until now we still have problems. Although our customer care coordinator, Destiny is very helpful.

Lennar - This is our first home so I don't have much to compare the process

This is our first home so I don't have much to compare the process too. Overall, the build is great. There were a few minor issues that did not get taken care of before we moved in.

The loan process was one of the longest I’ve ever done and this is my third home purchase. Even on the day we were supposed to close thing weren’t done and we had to call to find out we weren’t closing that day. My family moved out of our apartment and had to stay in hotels for a week waiting for everything to get sorted. Once we moved in we found issue that had been identified durning the walk through that were never addressed. We have had issue with our dryer and other products and the local rep is hard to get ahold of and the customer service reps don’t reply for day some times. ...

We are happy with our new home but the quality it is in the lower end for a new build. Thy need to do a much better work during their internal QC process or selecting contractors. Found several issues after moving in and we eventually had to get an external inspector. Zero attention to detail. Still haven't found a single window frame that it is properly level in the house. Silver lining is that they provide a one year warranty and the customer service rep for my community is doing an excellent job helping us solving them.

Good quality and design but delays and poor customization approach

The home was functional. There were quality control issues as with any new home, perhaps more-so in my case with plumbing. My issues were on on what you get for the price you pay for these homes is not the best quality, laminated cabinets that chip easily. Lennar forced a bid approach when the pandemic happened. While not unusual, this process was very clunky, and we saw huge delays in closing. Overall I was pleased with the people-aspect but not much else in the buying experience.

2 out of 3 sale Representatives we're accommodating, the first older woman we spoke to tried to convince us to look somewhere else. She judged us by our looks on her first impression without knowing if we qualified. We ended up buying it cash.

Disappointed with the responsiveness of Lennar representatives when we had an issue. Many times we had to call over & over again during the initial process & after closing. Love the Townhouse, but some of your representatives need to be more customer oriented, especially the supervisor of the design center who never returned any of my calls.

We identified some workmanship issues and also noticed that some of the front yart plants were dead during the walk-through session. We were disappointed that the dead plants were not replaced as it was promised and some workmanship defects were not fixed.

We are not first time home buyers. There are so many questions to be asked and make sure to get all those questions completely answered. The fees are very overwhelming and you need to understand all of it. We feel there has been broken down communications between subcontractors and Lennar. As homeowners it’s incredibly frustrating to purchase a new home, with no previous owners, and have many, many issues of improper and sub-level finishing of paint, kitchen cabinet, fan, shower, garage door, mirror and appliance issues. We all are paying crazy amounts of money to finish our homes and then ...

Lennar functional teams use different portals. You have to enroll each of them. Each portal looks different. It makes homebuyers confused. It is very hard to know what action you need take what docs you need to read. I have never experienced this type of digital chaos. Personally I love digital process to handle complicate real state. Lennar should use one portal to proceed selling, even prequalifying evaluation.

How does a home that is priced for more than a million dollars not have a duel zoned air conditioner when it has two stories? Why is it necessary to resubmit requests to get the smoke alarms to work correctly? Why is the home delivered with a cracked powder room sink? We just wanted our new home to be new and functional.

Poor response once you have an issue that need to be addressed, good response via teams or zoom to explain the situation but a lot of time to get fixed any situation on the property, maintenance department need to have a value stream mapping process in order to understand the response time/ Leadtime for costumer service.

Bidding Process ruined our experience

Overall our experience with Lennar was decent. However, what left a sour taste in our mouth was when Lennar decided to change the buying process to a bidding war. It went from going down the priority list (all on list were prequalified through their lender) and offering the houses for their respective set price, to opening it up to everyone on the list and forcing us bid against each other. Only 1 bid allowed so it should be best and final. We did that and progressively started bidding higher and higher above the “Lennar starting at price”. I know the housing market was booming but we were ...

The workmanship quality overall is very poor. Attention to detail is simply not there. I detected many issues with my home. Honestly, it feels like they rushed production of these homes and whoever "supervised" the different tradesmen working on these homes did a poor job. The one saving grace about Lennar is that they do stand by their one year warranty and get whatever problem you have fixed eventually.

Overall it was an okay experience, for a first home buyer

It was overall good. The only thing I didn’t really appreciate was the home loan officer that I worked with, who was very unresponsive and difficult to deal with. Not helpful at all, especially as a first time homebuyer, the loan officer made it such an unpleasant experience. During the home celebration/inspection, we found a few paint that needed to be addressed and I was promised that we can ask for some paint after we fully moved in. Now that we’re all moved in for a month now, they’re saying they can’t give us any paint as it is a state law.
