I am a repeat customer with Lennar. Technically I purchased with Cal Atlantic my first home and about a month before closing, Lennar took over. However, my home stayed with Cal Atlantic team until closed and it was a wonderful experience from beginning to finish. The Cal Atlantic sales team was thorough and welcoming and even met me on the day of move in to walk my home. I never put in a single work order. Since Cal Atlantic got bought out by Lennar, I figure that they would have the same quality and customer service, but boy- Lennar is way inferior to Cal Atlantic. The buying ...

The Lennar team (from sales to finance to post-move in customer service) — everyone was nearly horrible and not worth the money they are paid. I could spend many hours explaining every situation and how bad of an experience this was but to sum it all up. Some of the sales agents are rude and don’t care. The finance team SUCKS and will try to feed you to another company that clearly they will benefit from. The quality team might not actually ensure that important needs are addressed before closing. The builders use VERY cheap, low-end finishing and throw the house together (so expect issues). ...

Terrible customer service and home is full of defects

Unfortunately, we had experience what a lot of our other neighbours also experienced. Lennar project was delayed by over a month and there was no clear answer about why and when it will be ready. We were all left up on the air until 10-12 days before closing. We’re phase 1 of this new construction and there are so many essential things (heater in the winter and water heater to start with) were defective when the home was delivered and there are so many outstanding issues still remaining. One thing that makes it more painful is that we bought this house almost $300k over asking price and I ...

Lennar - When spending as much as we spent there is a specific expectation

When spending as much as we spent there is a specific expectation when taking ownership. This home was not built with care. We are constantly finding issues that should have been found by the CM team. It is as if they are treating their home buyers as numbers. Hence, the demand is high so let’s pump homes out and if a homebuyer doesn’t like it and backs out, well we have a backlog of people that will. The only positive experience was Lennar mortgage with Felice. Other than that I would not recommend nor would I ever purchase a Lennar home again.
Lennar responded:
Hello Daniel, thank you for sharing your review. We would like to apologize for any disappointment you have with the construction of your home. If you have any items that still need to be addressed, you may reach us at corporatecustomercare@lennar.com. -Lennar Customer Care

Quality issues especially with the electrical components of the home. Fuses blow every other day and at the moment, our electric car cannot be charged because the 220V plug does not bring juice to the electric car charger. Its an every day task to go out to the garage and reset a fuse that tripped in various rooms of the house. The final delivery of the home keys was ridiculous. It was at that point, we as a homebuyer were nothing more then a commission check for the Lennar sales agent. CarMax makes you feel pretty special when you purchase on of their cars and they are 1% of ...

There were a few major issues in this house after it was closed on 7/26/24. I received keys after closing on 7/26/24, there were no blinds and no cleaning at all (lots of construction remains everywhere). Reported Leaking water from the 2nd floor and garage on 8/6/24. The construction was done on 8/21/24, including drying the wall paint. The water was leaking from the attic. The AC company visited twice. The last visit was on 8/16/24, but the water dripping issue is exactly the same (please see attached photo – Destiny told me that I can submit another ticket to recheck the roof or other ...

Very expensive house not worth the money. Lennar give you incomplete house. My house was with no gutters and took them 6 to 7 weeks to install gutters. Garage door still missing side trim. Horrible electricity, when plugged any device it tripped the circuit breaker. Windows are not soundproof. Bad window screens can’t pull up or has no pull tabs. Doors are defected. Doors broken at strike plate. Towel and toilet paper holders loose and came out many times. Numerous paint and drywall defects. Terrible exterior molding defects. Kitchen cabinets has many cracks. It takes them long time to fix ...
