I wish we were able to pick our exterior elevation/colors. We had a lot of delays, many of which were understandable, some were solely based on the land department’s incompetence, things that they knew needed to be done but expected the city to allow a variance on that delayed closing several weeks.

My biggest complaint was being told if our loan closings was late we would have to pay a fee per day being late. Lennar was however not held to the same standard when delays occurred. Especially during Covid that needs to be amended

I’m more happy than unhappy overall, but there are significant items that really soured the home buying experience, including inexplicable delays in closing (not supply chain or COVID related, just disorganized), skipped final inspection due to the time crunch, bubbled paint/missing paint/splattered paint in numerous spots (all minor, but noticeable), failed low voltage electrical component problems, and insect problems immediately upon move in. All of these can be fairly easily corrected, and for the warranty-covered items they are being fixed without any push back, so that is good. Also, ...

If you're looking for a low-quality/maybe middle-of-the-pack type starter home, this is a good start. If you're looking for high-quality finishes and not find any issues like what I found with scratches, dirt on finished drywalls, debris throughout the property, stained driveway, messy finishes like clean caulked edges, etc. to have to contact the crew to finish/fix things, then you are better off looking elsewhere. The move-in experience was mediocre. I was introduced the smart-home features super fast a week prior to move-in/closing date. So everything that was informed to me I had to ...

When buying a new home it’s expected that everything is in good shape. With this build it seemed like everything was rushed. A lot of build issues and things that needed to get fixed. Certain things were pointed out and still didn’t get fixed until the second time around. Overall disappointed it’s a new house so I expect things to look good. The cabinetry is very cheap and the overall quality isn’t to good. When you chose lennar your choosing quality and that’s not what I received.

The home buying experience with Lennar was not great. We were left to ourselves for pretty much the entire process. On our orientation our Lennar Representative was kind and provided a lot of information but we were never welcomed on site to receive our keys. We were told to just pick up the keys in the lockbox outside our house. It was very impersonal. We did not feel cared or valued. To make matters worse, we have struggled with appliances, paint, carpet issues, and dry wall. Our fridge was installed incorrectly and we were unable to use the water dispenser until two weeks after move in. ...

Unfortunately this time around Lennar failed to stand by their name. It's my third Lennar home , and by far this is the lowest quality of work and attention to details. Garage door paint already peeling off. Poor design of roof without gutters, therefor water intrusion. Customer service demonstrated so far is below average. Lennar get it together., my previous Lennar residence were superb.

Be cautious when purchasing in a booming market. Houses are being built fast. In turn quality of workmanship diminishes. Ask about material being used. For example tile, carpet, cabinetry. Be aware. Solar isn't listed in the purchase price and is a add on. You can either purchase or lease. I would recommend purchasing to receive the tax break.

If you buy a house from Lennar, make sure you ask questions all informations that you're confused on because they dont explain things to you to level that you'll understand it and they expect that your comprehension about home buying informations are same as theirs. Another thing, make sure you review all paperworks before you sign the closing or as the notary agent explain stuff to you because again, the lender doesnt put out information to where your "credits" goes to and ours almost didnt get all credited because of lack of communication from lender. For inspections, their representative ...

My experience

During the home buying process there was not a lot of communication. I contacted the loan officers to ask for the stages of my loan multiple times. I never really knew what was going on and there was times I wasn’t able to get in contact with them. I felt very lost in that process which was hands down the most stress part of the home-buying process. The house came with really great appliances which I appreciate. Overall I do love my new home.

Ceiling Leak After One Month!
- Anonymous
- Verified HomeBuyer

- Visalia, CA
We came home from work to find our ceiling was leaking and caving in over our master bathroom. The home is a month old. We feel like we were tricked and are very disheartened by this whole experience. Our life savings is in this home and now we are staring at a giant hole in our ceiling and are displaced from our master bedroom for close to a month, waiting for the repairs to be completed. Also, the microwave is short circuting the whole wall every time we use it and the refrigerator that came with the home had a leak which took a month to get fixed. I would not recommend a Lennar home to ...

It all starts with the closing. Initially we were to close on the last Tuesday of the month. Because of work, I requested the closing to be moved to the Friday of that same week. I was denied. I then organized a POA and had to fly my POA all the way to California for this closing only to be told less than a week prior that the house was not ready and closing was to be moved to the date I originally wanted. Overall, prior to actually moving in, the closing date was shifted a total of FOUR times. Each time being a last minute change to the closing date. Set a closing date and STICK WITH IT. ...

Worst Homebuying Experience

From the beginning, the Lennar Sales team was not responsive to initial inquiries we submitted for home we were interested in. It required me to follow up on weekly/bi-weekly basis before a representative even provided the information on the available homes and the plans. I felt like I was inconveniencing her asking for information. Once we signed the purchasing agreement, we submitted the application to Lennar Financial who waited a few weeks before reviewing and starting the escrow process. They only started with the paperwork 3 weeks before our close date but indicated it would not be an ...

Thank you Lennar for a really unique experience. We signed the purchase agreement in late October 2021. The home was already under construction so we were told it would be complete in the middle of January 2022. We sold our existing home fast and decided living in a hotel for two and a half months would not be that bad. Construction delays and material shortage kicked the actual close date to May 27, 2022. We were homeless for 7 months! Every step along the way we felt deceived and lied to. When we would talk to the customer representatives they would always say “Thank you for not yelling ...

Horribly blemished Granite Countertops that they won't fix!
- Anthony L.
- Verified HomeBuyer
- October 27, 2020
- Tulare, CA
Upon closing date we were told our Granite countertops could simply be cleaned with Granite cleaner... They had a very noticeable white film over them with circles and squares imprinted in it? After signing for the home, We purchased a good granite cleaner and it did no good, it looks exactly the same. We were told a one year warranty would cover any issue? NOT TRUE, After we submitted a work order for repair, five months later they said it's not covered by the warranty? DO NOT SIGN during closing until EVERYTHING IS COMPLETED TO YOUR SATISFACTION! Look with a magnifying glass!
Lennar responded:
Hi Anthony, thank you for your review. We would like to apologize for the issues you have outlined with your countertops. Please send us a note at corporatecustomercare@lennar.com with any additional details, so we can follow-up with the appropriate team. - Lennar Customer Care
