We closed on our house in September. We were told the day before that major issues still remained (appliances not delivered, etc.). We've been struggling with Lennar for months now (mid-November) to handle paint, drywall, flooring, cracked tubs, etc. They say they will fix things, and eventually they have been getting to issues one by one, but it takes forever. Everyone in the neighborhood has this same experience. Lennar does not have enough focus on the last 2% of fit and finish, and does not have enough resources focused on keeping commitments to new owners.

As far as sales,Deb is amazing to work with and I would recommend her to anyone looking to purchase a home in Sterling Ranch. On the other hand i am extreamly disappointed with the poor construction management and the lack of finishing anything before moving onto the next home. We moved in almost 2 months ago and still our house is being pieced together while we watch others move in weeks/months after us and have a fully finished house and landscaping. This company is more worried about putting up more houses than actually finishing what they had started.

Lennar provided the day for closing and there were a lot of items that were not completed/resolved prior to moving even though it was promised thet would be completed before closing. It’s difficult to get any responses from them to resolve outstanding issues and when they provide a date they don’t stick to it.

We have been left with numerous issues since the day of closing and it has been a month and a half of poor communication and constant follow up to try to get them resolved. From the poor finish work, incomplete work and lack of cleanup, it is clear that corners were cut to make the closing date set by Lennar. There were a few items that should have prevented it from even passing inspection. Along with finish work problems like paint, we have poorly caulked windows and a roof which had torn and damaged shingles. We had been told that Lennar was one of the best builders around. Unexpectedly dirty house at the time of sale.

House was very dirty at the time of sale. Many items were not finished. Still lots of trash under the deck. Basement was left unbelievably dirty. People were mopping the floor with dirty mops in front of us during final walk through. Lennar tries to rush in the sale of the house, but don’t really care about the quality. Really bad experience to say the least.

Overall, we are pleased with our new home and the home buying process. the only down side was in an effort to meet quarterly numbers, the closing date was bumped up and finishing the home was rushed. As a result, the quality was diminished and expectations weren’t met.

For the most part a good experience and a good house. Overall things are nice and well completed. The wood used to build the fence and porch area is awful and alreadyfalling apart, they left the basement very messy and I've been trying to get an unpainted part outside fixed since our walk through, it's been over a month and a half and I've been completely ignored multiple times and it's still not done. Otherwise we really like our home and are glad to be in it.

We have had a terrible time with our whole building process. We were lied to from day one about what we could choose, lied to about availability of items, gas lit for every explanation, and the entire construction team has been condescending and belligerent. We have had to go all the way to the VP for every issue in order to actually get it addressed. The quality of workmanship and craftmanship is abhorrent. The amount of items that Lennar tries to pass off as "normal" or "good", that are actually sub par, barely to code, not to code, not straight, and downright poorly fabricated is ...

We were very disappointed in the build quality in several areas and difficulty in getting issues with wrong location of washing machine water and drain piping - took three attempts to get someone to put it in the right place after being told "we leave it to the plumber. Also problems with location of the attic access hole. Supposed to be located in the master closest and not the master bath,. Again took three tries go get it located in the right spot. Then issues with the repairs to wrong location drywall. Big disappointment with cleaning of the home prior to closing. Basement was covered in ...

This is the 3rd house we’ve built (1st with Lennar), and can’t believe the how little Lennar actually cares about quality of workmanship. I’m not going to list all the items as it would take too long, but major issues include roof leak, plumbing backup, not building home to plan (forgot conferred ceiling in foyer, forgot brick on column on front porch, Island installed in the wrong place, dishwasher/sink/cabinets in Island installed in the wrong orientation), and the countless other items. Trying to get anything fixed is a complete nightmare and a joke. Sometimes a trade won’t show up, if ...

We had problems before we even signed the contract. We should have taken that as a sign and not have went through with it. The communication and respect has to be most disappointing part. Buying a new house is supposed to be joyous moment and instead it was just met with people that didn’t care. From the sales person to the super I was beyond disappointed with the professionalism by Lennar. The day of closing will be a day I never forget and not in a good way. When you close on a house and don’t even receive the keys what’s the point. I can truly say that I’m ashamed to be a trade partner and ...

Once you've moved in, Lennar doesn't really care about addressing issues: 1.We have no internet service with no ETA provided despite our neighbors having service (we moved in 2 months ago). 2. I've been asked to check the box and mark requested warranty work as complete before it was finished, and it then gets ignored by the warranty team. 3. House was dirty in many areas upon move-in, and that was even with a further move-in thanks to Lennar messing up the closing date. This has been the worst decision of my life. Be careful.

Issues at every step. Build was rushed at my expense. A few examples, drywall went up which prevented me from viewing electric work. Cabinets are uneven, stained, drawers still hard to open and close. Flooring damaged, carpet was stained and had to be cleaned upon closing. Carpet had numerous nails stick out in stairs which caused injury to my family. Windows are pending replacement due to chipping. Screen door was missing. Door paint was so fresh that each door stuck and needed sanding and painting upon move in. Garage door opener was installed 3 weeks after closing. Closing was 10 days ...

We signed our agreement at the height of the housing boom and it wasn't a great experience. You had no choice in model, colors, or anything except the lot. Also, was constantly told the price was going to go up if we didn't sign right away. By the time we moved in the housing market was plummeting and the experience changed to be more pleasant. The folks at Lennar were more responsive and seemed to care more about our issues/questions. It's sad that high inflation, high interest rates and a mini recession was what it took for Lennar to provide a better customer experience.

The quality of materials and workmanship is not that good. The construction was mostly rushed to finish up in the last 2 weeks with lot of open issues. 2 months after closing, we are still chasing the warranty team to help fix items that were open during closing. Compared with other builders (like Richmond or Toll Brothers), quality of home and service is inferior.

This review is a redo of the previous one. The system did not like that I said the truth about the transaction. All my words were decent, grammatically correct and in formal tone. No bad words were used. Lennar is not the best company to buy a house from. They are border line on breach of contract for the product that they give. Complaints are never satisfied.

We were very excited to build a home with Lennar, and were made to feel like they had an extensive, impeccable multi-point inspection process that would present new home buyers with a gorgeous home upon closing. Unfortunately, the reality is you’re given a home at closing with such obvious faults that it’s hard to believe that any inspections were performed at all. The workmanship and craftsmanship demonstrate that Lennar is not concerned about quality, only the quantity of homes that they are building at an unreasonable rate. From the moment we closed, getting Lennar to acknowledge and ...

Experience was overall pretty good but communication was lacking at times when we told it was on track then suddenly we were closing two weeks early which would have been nice to know since that changed our first payment date. When it comes to warranty issues most are dealt with fairly quickly but we do have a few big issues that we are having trouble getting taken care of. I also wish they had an option to include landscaping for the back yard as an option especially since we have a strict HOA. Other than that these issues the homes are beautiful and definitely feel like we got a great price ...

Lennar - Be prepared to move into a house that has not been cleaned and

Be prepared to move into a house that has not been cleaned and is missing things like window screens, screen doors, garage doors, garage door openers, alarm system, smart home system, etc. Workmanship is very poor and most everyone has paint over-sprays everywhere with many things that need to be fixed. Warranty repairs are extremely slow, communication poor and repairs very sloppy - the company discounts any concerns and typically respond with reasons the home owner doesn't really have a problem
