Go with a builder who offers options.

Since moving in there has been one issue after another with our home, as well as the surrounding neighbors. (and I'm talking about some BIG health and safety hazard issues). We have had people constantly in our home fixing issues since we moved in which has been frustrating. Many of the fixed items have been done very sloppy. Some of the issues we were told weren't under warranty, so we are already having to pay hundreds of dollars out of pocket for the extremely fast and sloppy work that is done with building these homes so quickly. Lennar uses the cheapest possible materials and the furnace installed isn't even suffice to heat half of our small home and so we can't use certain rooms when it's cold outside (and in Colorado it's cold for at least half of the year). More options would have also been appreciated with the home buying process as well, such as something as basic as a few different paint color options, or the option to have a bathtub. I am stuck with a yellow paint with modern style picks and it clashes. That is not a huge deal as I can repaint down the line but it would have been nice to have that option to avoid yet another cost. ... More

After five months in the home, we are still thrilled with our home and Lennar.

Willing to address the issues

Lennar homes include all the windows doors fireplaces unlike other builders like Richmond. So what you see is what you get and you don’t pay more to add it to the purchase price of the home. Quality of home is excellent. Downside is there’s no say in closing. With one months notice you could be going to closing six months early stuck paying for 2 homes.

This builder is basically a machine. We paid quite a lot for this home but it has sub par materials. I understand new home buyers are left with even fewer choices. This was like buying a spec home.

Unfortunately many things in this home feel slapped together. The decisions made on things like where to put the pocket lights and where to position the AC unit show just how much the building team is thoughtless in their approach, which makes the home feel ... clunky. The materials used are the cheapest possible. From decking material that my child regularly gets splinters on to paint that literally rubs off when you get the wall wet, I would not say the quality of materials stands up to the price tag.

Windows separated from frame. Carpet cut short pulling away from floor. Walls are not straight. Bad drywall finishes. Doors don’t close right. 5 different shades of concrete, because they don’t know how to mathematics. Very poor workmanship for such an expensive house.

Very nice being able to move in and not have to worry about a refrigerator, blinds, landscaping, etc.!

Total experience from viewing models, answering questions, construction and final walkthrough has been excellent. Their team is outstanding and very responsive to issues noted after move in.

This is my second Lennar homes I had a Lennar home in Vancouver Washington which I sold and came to aurora , Colorado to be close to son and his family I am pleased with the Home in the neighborhood that I purchased in

Tawny killed it. Kristen made it easy and enjoyable. They need a reward like a coffee, a trophy or at the very least a pizza party. It's great seeing them in the community after my purchase. It makes it still feel exciting like I'm waiting to close my home. Love them! ❤

The quality of the kitchen cabinets and the concrete work leaves a lot to be desired. Not representative of a home at this price point.

Very disappointed with solar. 3 months after moving in and solar not activated. Lennar tells me that I need to call Sunova and XCEL. None of my neighbors who moved in at the same time had to call anybody and their solar was activated months ago.

Couldn’t ask for a better on-site team. The mortgage team unfortunately did not meet up to the standards. Non-responsive and unorganized. They made this process very difficult and stressful. Thank goodness we had Tobi to fall back on.

From the beginning everyone made me feel comfortable. There was no pressure into buying a home given from any of the staff members. They explained every house building step along the way and were in communication with me when changes were being made.

Sales staff, construction manager and warranty rep have been great. Lennar Mortgage is the worst home finance company I've ever worked with...and I work in real estate so I've seen A LOT for comparison. Trust me, their incentive to use them isn't worth the hassle. The time I spent using them cost me hours I could have used to make 3x the dollar amount they offered via incentives. When they were "Eagle Home Mortgage" their service was top notch, that has drastically changed. Hands down, this was the most disorganized, apathetic and unprofessional team I have EVER had the displeasure of working with for such an important process. Even after we closed I was still receiving emails indicating we had paperwork to complete so the closing could be scheduled. Absolute garbage! ... More

Would love to write a great review but have had issues with neighbors regarding fencing and a huge parking problem! Also was not informed about a terrible drainage problem!! Very discouraged but do have some nice neighbors who have been very sympathetic and supportive.

The home we purchased was one of the model homes. We are very pleased with our home. It was Lennar mortgage company that gave us so much grief.

Over promise and under deliver. Poor response to issues.
