Customer Reviews

Go up fast and it shows. Poor customer service

We have had many issues with our home from cracking and collapsing concrete, broken sprinklers, so much settlement that our front door won’t lock and our fence gate won’t close, broken water heater, pooling water and more. Anytime we submit a request it takes months to get a result and weeks for our customer care rep to respond. Super stressful and disappointing.

I have had many issues and, although they responded quickly, most of the issues have not been resolved after repeated tries. I’ve never had this bad of a n experience with a new home!

Sales office does a great job of pushing the product, but final product lacks in professionalism, quality, and attention to detail. Be prepared to pay and fix things yourself the right way or accept a less than professional job at each service request.

I don't feel that the materials used were of great quality. The blinds don't go all the way to the window sill and aren't level, the faucets don't seem of a good quality, the front porch had something brown left that is raised from the cement, the ruckus was not installed properly.

The purchase process was as advertised. It's a house in a box, and they were going to build it whether we bought it or not. The staff was super helpful throughout the process and flexible with our schedules. The home itself is beautiful on the surface, but the quality and craftsmanship have us seriously doubting that we'd ever buy another. Simple things like sloppily painting over debris instead of clearing it first have been extremely disappointing. And it's not just spot issues, this stuff is in every room. It's not just cosmetic issues either. We have a vaulted ceiling and about 60 ...

Lots of little issues keep coming up

We bought a model and Lennar doesn't warranty past 30 past days and we see why. Little things continue to emerge such as leaking faucets and poor craftsmanship around the house. The Lennar warranty team won't even respond with recommended resolutions, they just ignore the inquiries. To their credit they were very responsive and friendly the first 30 days but won't even respond with recommended resolutions any more. Unfortunate that we've already had to go out of pocket for handy work on a house that's never been lived in 2-3 months after moving in.

We closed on our house end of October. Before we did inspection or anything, we had an evergreen tree that was knocked down in a snow storm, that was ignored and still lays down on our yard. During inspection, we pointed out the paint splatters on the hardwood floors and were told the day we closed they would have it cleaned by professionals. We close and they did not do that type of cleaning. Seems like they did a lick and a promise because it’s March and we still have paint on our floors and it took two days to scrub construction grit off our kitchen island and counters. So much for a ...

Warranty subs don’t finish on the same day and don’t clean up. I have missed a lot of work due to this. I am also waiting on fix to my carpet padding that has a lot of hard plastic chunks in it?

Our house was not move-in ready and yet we were still forced to close. There were still several outstanding issues that were not addressed on our final walkthrough. The process to close was rushed and workmanship was sloppy, there were several serious issues including a gas leak that had not been addressed until after the walkthrough even though they were caught weeks in advance. The house was dirty, some of the moulding pieces use had large defects in them. Our sump pump has never worked and still has not been addressed three months later. The construction manager and customer care team have ...

The biggest issue is the interior design, its awful. It seems that the guy designed interior part of the did not have any knowledge of how to use the space. Too small bathrooms and cabinets are very bad with no drawers. It is a waste of money and Im not happy with my purchase. The homes are priced very high. I don't recommend anyone to buy.

The communication is horrible. After I bought my home Nate never responded to a question I had I guess all he cared about was his initial review. Paint is chipping left and right, paint all over our deck, our island is not straight, the granite is not sealed so stains have already happened, things weren’t painted trim wise on the outside of the home. Blue tape left in spots that were supposed to be fixed. Garage remotes stolen at close, everything was very cheaply done and terrible workmanship. There is an excuse for everything and am immediate defense when you ask/question things. Not happy ...

We signed our agreement at the height of the housing boom and it wasn't a great experience. You had no choice in model, colors, or anything except the lot. Also, was constantly told the price was going to go up if we didn't sign right away. By the time we moved in the housing market was plummeting and the experience changed to be more pleasant. The folks at Lennar were more responsive and seemed to care more about our issues/questions. It's sad that high inflation, high interest rates and a mini recession was what it took for Lennar to provide a better customer experience.

We purchased a model (Prescott) that Lennar did not model on-site at the community we were buying in. Therefore they used a virtual 360 Tour online to let us “walk through” the home virtually. They assured us that the online tour represented the home accurately. The tour showed several high-end structural options in the home such as a gorgeous butlers pantry with glass faced cabinets, and dual shower heads/controls in the master shower, as well as tray ceilings in several rooms. Keep in mind that Lennar is an “everything’s included” builder so their models are “what you see in s what you ...

Beautiful Home But No Follow Through on Issues After Closing

Lennar is a great company to work with during the building process, however, after closing, it's difficult to get ahold of anyone in Lennar to resolve issues in the house. The tech support department Lennar contracts with (Lumiere) is phenomenal. However, we had some issues with the home (still unresolved) and our concern keeps getting passed around. There's too many people working for Lennar with no clear contact or who to direct issues to. No resolution yet at the time of this review.
