Overpriced tract home

Each day is a discovery of so Erving else not working correctly, having to deal with rude contractors, or experiencing an issue with trying to get resolve a repair that’s been “fixed” poorly. Also, this lot is way too close to other neighbors. When a contractor friend of mine stated, “when someone pays over half a million dollars for a home, they shouldn’t have these kinds of issues”, the response from the Lennar customer service manager, “Everyone is paying that price for these houses”. Does that mean it’s okay the workmanship is awful?

Lennar responded:
Hi Michael, thank you for your review. We would like to apologize for the issues with incomplete work and getting those items resolved. Additionally, we are sorry to hear about the responses you have gotten in regards to the workmanship for your new home. If there is anything we can do to help, please send us a note at corporatecustomecare@lennar.com. - Lennar Customer Care

The sales associates were absolutely amazing hence the two stars, but that was it. The two months leading to closing on the home, we had miscommunication after miscommunication with the loan team and didn't receive confirmation on our loan into 2 days before closing pending documentation that we uploaded two months prior to closing. After moving in, there were some minor maintenance that needed taken care of and the Customer Care team was quick to address the tasks but prior to a week of heavy snowfall in our area, we attempted to park two sedan cars into the two-car garage and found that ...

Customer Experience Needs Some Work

At the end of the day you are buying a home not a customer experience, but the customer experience was very poor on the sales side and has gone significantly downhill since the last time we purchased a Lennar Home. Missed meetings, lots of changing of staff, surprises on walkthrough day of “oh sales never mentioned that wasn’t included” etc. Overall what is being sold is a great value for a home and I hold that Lennar has great floor plans, but I hope they are able to better shape a positive interaction with its customers in the future in general and in this community, and stay a bit more ...

Lennar responded:
Thank you for sharing your experience with us. We apologize for the inconvenience and frustration you have faced with the sales process. We appreciate your positive comments about the value and floor plans of our homes and hope to improve our interactions with customers in the future. If there are any outstanding warrantable issues, please submit a warranty request online through your Lennar Account. This ensures your request is documented and prioritized for a prompt resolution.

Lennar's motto is "Everything's Included" yes... but... Things that are NOT included: Washer/Dryer, Door/drawer pulls for cabinets, fence, back yard, more than one bare thin coat of paint. During initial conversations we were told that there were closeout specials and that we could make an offer and things would be accepted, this was far from true. During the loan processes we were told that 4% was available, this was also far from true. There were a lot of places where it felt like Lennar made promises that they had no intention of keeping and it very much soured me to the experience. ...

Customer Care follow up is lacking. my refrigerator needed to be replaced due to interior damage causing my produce to freeze repeatedly. I’m going on two months and I have still not received a replacement or any responses from LENNAR. Several other very simple repairs need to be completed (carpet repairs, electrical panel door latch repair, exterior paint touch up, cabinet door paint drips), but other than virtual meetings identifying the issues, no scheduling repairs or follow have been done. Very dissatisfied with Emily’s failure to return calls or follow up accordingly.

We were placed on the "VIP" list for our home in the volatile Colorado home buying market in November 2020. 48 hours before going under contract on an agreed price, we were told that our signing date was going to be pushed back a few months ( Due to covid of course ) and there would be a 20K plus price increase. We were told by a Lennar employee that the reason for the increase was because Lennar was underselling their homes so they increased prices to generate profits (this employee also stated this to our realtor ). We still continued our purchase despite the increase because if we hadn't, ...

I bought Lennar Home Second time. Once I moved in the New house. After one month later so many quality issues are appeared in this house. when I did the service request. The Customer service Representative are so unprofessional and they are omitting the reputation of Lennar Home Builder. They are just making the customer upset rather than help them. I recommend all my Friends and relatives not to buy any Lennar Homes in Future. its Quality and services are very low day by day. Investing money to buy Lennar Home is now Powering water on the sand.

From our first engagement with Debra (where she talked to me like a moron who doesn't understand interest rates, despite the fact that I have a master's degree in economics) to our final walk through with Jon (where the construction manager tried to tell me that the cabinets were 'fine' even though one of the doors was the wrong size, a problem I had flagged three times for them), my experience with Lennar was sub-standard! Lennar mortgage was misleading during the application process, the home is built with poor quality, items were stolen out of the home after under contract to buy, lennar mortgage closing agent did not provide the original mortgage note or security instrument for my records. The underwriter ignored us for two weeks. Therefor our loan was delayed by 3 weeks. Closing docs were approved on the day of closing! Horrible. Any issues were not handled right away. I was told the water bill for water for the grass that I do not want on the side of the home would be $30. It was $136! I was told HOA would take over the grass. They did not. HOA is non responsive. Took two weeks to get hold of anyone. Took over a month to set everything us. Horrible experience! I was ripped off on the price too. As soon as we signed the contract, it all went downhill…Lennar struggled and still have not completed items from the Home Celebration walk. You need to chase them to complete otherwise Lennar tries to close the items without completing. Condescending attitude while you bring outstanding items even if it is evident the items are just not completed or do not comply with industry standards.

I have serious concern on price transparency and also the structure and material used . The garage does not have proper structure to park two cars. The stairs from the garage to the main floor is quite elongated. No washer and drawer are included in that package while this was known but when compared with other property seller near by there are better deal available. I don’t think I’m gonnna recommended Lennar to anyone.

The local contractors did a good job, however Lennar as a company cuts corners everywhere and use bad products. They short change at the dumbest opportunities, like a thermostat. All around bad, the best part is that the actual local contractors can come after you buy and then make everything right.
