We were rushed through our final walkthrough. Jonathan was the individual who did our walkthrough with us. There were numerous issues that were not corrected. The drywall around one of the heater vents was horrible and they tried to fixed it by slapping drywall mud all over it when the damage was something that would require the drywall around it to be cut out and replaced. This was brought to Jonathan’s attention. There was a huge void in the center of one of the bedroom floors where it was evident there was no pad under the carpet. The carpet was not tacked down and was brought to Jonathan’s ...

Tom, New Home Consultant, was always communicated and was extremely helpful throughout the process. We raised issues during the build about things that were concerns to us, when we received the house the issues were not addressed/fixed. We now live in a house that the garage door opener does not work, the floor in the master bedroom has a creaking sound that can be heard downstairs and outside the room, a tube we cannot put our wires in for our tv because of the sharp turn and no rope installed for us, one stair on the basement stairs that is different material then the rest of the stairs, ...

Poor builder quality

The quality of materials and workmanship is not that good. The construction was mostly rushed to finish up in the last 2 weeks with lot of open issues. 2 months after closing, we are still chasing the warranty team to help fix items that were open during closing. Compared with other builders (like Richmond or Toll Brothers), quality of home and service is inferior.

Lennar responded:
Hi Lokesh, thank you for sharing your comments regarding your experience. We are sorry to hear you are having to "chase" warranty team to help fix items that were open during closing . Lennar - Be prepared to move into a house that has not been cleaned and

  • Gregory K.

  • August 30, 2022
  • Littleton, CO

Be prepared to move into a house that has not been cleaned and is missing things like window screens, screen doors, garage doors, garage door openers, alarm system, smart home system, etc. Workmanship is very poor and most everyone has paint over-sprays everywhere with many things that need to be fixed. Warranty repairs are extremely slow, communication poor and repairs very sloppy - the company discounts any concerns and typically respond with reasons the home owner doesn't really have a problem

Lennar responded:
We sincerely thank you for sharing your experience and apologize for the issues you have had to deal with moving into your new home. If there are any items you would like us to follow up on, please reach out to us at corporatecustomercare@lennar.com. - Lennar Customer Care

The financing expirence was horrible, the walk through is a joke get the builder to fix issues is like pulling teeth and once you move-in good luck getting them to finish what they promised is a nightmare. They ensure quality and explain that is what you are paying for and it has all been a complete mess

I have had several issues with the home that have made me unhappy with the experience. All the breakers in the kitchen blew right away and had to be replaced. Told quality of breakers not good. Also major gaps in garage door that they want a two visit process for. Make it easy for home owners!!! Too difficult to resolve issues.

There are a lot of small problems. When I found the microwave vent was not even connected it made me wonder what other problems are here that I can’t see. There also was a water leak that took 6 weeks to repair even though it was reported immediately. Who ever installed some PVC pipe didn’t glue it correctly. We were told the water on the floor was from a pressure washer. The leak went uncorrected for 6 weeks causing mold under some carpet so it all had to be removed by a restoration company. Other problems with the quality of materials used. Seems like they will fix the issues, but ...

Each day is a discovery of so Erving else not working correctly, having to deal with rude contractors, or experiencing an issue with trying to get resolve a repair that’s been “fixed” poorly. Also, this lot is way too close to other neighbors. When a contractor friend of mine stated, “when someone pays over half a million dollars for a home, they shouldn’t have these kinds of issues”, the response from the Lennar customer service manager, “Everyone is paying that price for these houses”. Does that mean it’s okay the workmanship is awful?

I’ll preface this by saying that I have base-level experience in construction and I’ve built a home with another builder before- so this is not my first rodeo. I will say that working with Logan, in the sales office was a pleasure. He was kind, informative, speedy, and helpful. So this doesn’t reflect on him. But the process by which they handle the build of your home is sloppy and lazy. For over a $700k home, you’d think they’d care enough to not leave orange peels all over your newly laid carpet, leave pizza in your window wells, a rotisserie chicken under your deck. You’d think they’d ...

The price that I paid for the house that I got doesn't match. The quality of workmanship is very poor. It's not just one area, it's everywhere. Foundation concrete has stains, colors on the porch (from and back) both are single coats that can last one year. The second floor is uneven, the walls are not perfect at 90 degrees. It's been two months since we moved in but already there are cracks in the concrete. Cleaning (inside and outside) was not properly done. Even after raising the service requests, no one looked at it. Lennar was focused on closing the house rather than giving a ...

Moved in and within 30 days, I noticed the driveway is cracking (not covered under their warranty, but they are ripping out and repouring the other driveways that haven't been sold.. So maybe you'll be lucky) Central Air was mis-wired and needed a service call to wire correctly, took three weeks to come out. Several electrical breakers continue to pop with any type of wind, other homes owners report the same issue. Already had to replace two of the LED hall/bedroom lights having them burnt out and they are not of a bulb replacement style. When they are burnt you'll need to replace the ...

The buying experience was great, but once in the home, things starting to come up and fall apart fast. The walls are not straight at all, some are very noticeable. The drywall is bad, in some spots, you can see gaps, and builders wiped or used silicone caulking, making it impossible to paint without sanding out the caulking. When we got the house, you expect a "brand new home" in some way clean. Not this one. It was very dirty, so we hired a professional house cleaner. Builders aren't about quality and do not respect other people's property that has already moved in. We had several issues ...

The sales associates were absolutely amazing hence the two stars, but that was it. The two months leading to closing on the home, we had miscommunication after miscommunication with the loan team and didn't receive confirmation on our loan into 2 days before closing pending documentation that we uploaded two months prior to closing. At the end of the day you are buying a home not a customer experience, but the customer experience was very poor on the sales side and has gone significantly downhill since the last time we purchased a Lennar Home. Missed meetings, lots of changing of staff, surprises on walkthrough day of “oh sales never mentioned that wasn’t included” etc. Overall what is being sold is a great value for a home and I hold that Lennar has great floor plans, but I hope they are able to better shape a positive interaction with its customers in the future in general and in this community, and stay a bit more ...
