I like lennar take care customer (clients)

Overall the experience was good. There was a lack of communication at times. When asked to re-evaluate certain items in the home, there were times we were given the runaround. A few items we asked to be fixed before closing, we were then told they were fixed but after closing we had to have them re-assess items that needed correcting. At the end of the day, we would go with Lennar again, and we love our house. Just could not give 5 stars for those few things.

I thought the team overall did a good job. I am not super impressed with the construction process. They did everyhting so fast and somewhat sloppy. It all turned out okay, but slowing down and paying more attention to details should be emphasized to the trades. Especially drywall and carpet. More otions would be nice also.

Lennar has been great. They have addressed all of our problems and we are so happy with the home and our mortgage rate.

They oversell expectations and under perform the exection in my opinion. Based on the feild team they need a better process for quility control. They don't like to give you plans based on architectural or structurals, but know this its public record and you can get them from the city or county free of charge.

Tom, New Home Consultant, was always communicated and was extremely helpful throughout the process. We raised issues during the build about things that were concerns to us, when we received the house the issues were not addressed/fixed. We now live in a house that the garage door opener does not work, the floor in the master bedroom has a creaking sound that can be heard downstairs and outside the room, a tube we cannot put our wires in for our tv because of the sharp turn and no rope installed for us, one stair on the basement stairs that is different material then the rest of the stairs, our dryer vent on the roof of the house was glued shut resulting in errors on our dryer, paint was left all over our countertops and on the surface of the cabinet doors, the list goes on... The house is also not well built, you can hear people walking upstairs when you're downstairs, you can hear tv's when doors are shut and the volume is low, the washer and dryer cannot be used when you're sleeping because it is so loud in the master bedroom and other bedrooms surrounding it. I am highly disappointed that Lennar removed numerous things out of the house to reduce their costs, leaving many things looking unfinished. Financing through Lennar, with Tyler and Maria, was a nightmare. No one would return calls or phone calls until they needed something. I would never recommend going through their financing department if you were able to get the same rates somewhere else. It is not worth the stress. Our homebuyer concierge, Jenni, was great and always on top of things. She provided any information that was asked and went beyond. The Construction Manager, Isaac, attempted to resolve some issues. Some seemed rushed or completed just enough. He is very nice and tries to be helpful. I believe the bare minimum work that was provided was not his fault but the fault of Lennar, saying they wouldn't fix things or over working him. The house is beautiful on the outside and at the surface but so many things were just put together to look nice not to last. David, Warranty, was rude and disrespectful. He discredited and down graded 75% of the concerns we had about the house. David was so bad, we had to request another Warranty representative to help. ... More

The home was built very quickly and may have over looked at quality work. The home has multiple soft spots on the main floor and also on the 2nd floor. Vents in the master bedroom are loud and always flapping during high winds. Return vent in the basement has a big hole which was not closed/sealed properly. There’s a little water leak on the vent by furnace. Radon mitigation should’ve been part of the home since the average prior to having one installed is around 12-15. The installation of cable/outlet was off centered in the living room. Paint on main door still have the home number visible. Other than those home issues, the Lennar Mortgage Team was great to work with and found us a lower % which saves us money in the long run. Overall, the house looks great from the outside and inside. The price on the home is steep without a finished basement and having a backyard not landscaped. Lennar should have a specific company to complete landscaping and fencing to minimize issues and over payment. ... More

A month later and we still have problems with construction that are slowly being addressed.

We love the home. There were a few things that you wouldn't expect in a new home, most were fixed quickly but if Lennar did a final quality check they would have been caught and our experience would have been better. We still have two issues which haven't been fixed after 8 weeks. They are not quick fixes but are material. So slightly disappointed.

From the initial meeting with our rep, to being taken through the comprehensive buying process, the Lennar team was professional, responsive, clearly had our best interest in mind throughout the whole experience. We found ourselves in a precarious situation in order to secure our home we had to close in about 3 weeks, and the team did everything they could to make sure we did things the right way and with all the information and support we needed. We can’t say enough good things about our experience!!

It takes one bad apple… Overall, I think Lennar is a good builder. Craftmanship/workmanship and material are least to be desired. Sales is good. Finance portion, amazing. Closing process, amazing. Warranty, so far so good (but not perfect). The foreman, I never met in person, let me just say I am glad I did not - one phone conversation is all the disrespect that I can take as home buyer.

Overall, I am happy with Lennar. The house design is great and the materials used seem to be higher quality. My biggest complaints is I wish they did a better job of leveling out the lots so houses weren’t on such a hill. Some parts of our flooring isn’t even and is quite noticeable. The thickness of the walls isn’t great. It is easy to hear through them. The fact they provided a great interest rate is really what sold us. As of right now (considering we have only had the house over a month), I would recommend to a friend or family member and would buy a Lennar again.

Watch mortgage specifics to the end. Many bait and switch tactics. Follow up after closing us non existent.

As our customer services rep said when I showed him the corners that aren’t square and the garage frame being crooked. “ it’s a production home not a custom home” That’s a summary how our whole experience have been with Lennar. Things just aren’t right, square or straight.

Unfortunately I'm a furniture maker so workmanship and overall quality are very visible to me. Here's what I got for $800K: No handles on cabinetry, flat paint or primer used only, No soft close hinges or drawer guides, one hose bib and a front yard that was supposedly "carefully" designed and looks cheap as heck. Amazing that I'm looking for painters to redo the interior.

The front end of the buying experience was great. I appreciated the professionalism and prompt assistance we received from Patrick Sleeper and Dennise Vigil. We received a rushed orientation where we were told we could mark up what we saw that needed to be addressed. For a house our size, we had a quick one-hour orientation, because another one was scheduled right after ours that one couldn't be late for. We rushed through each room with barely enough time to mark the areas that needed attention. I addressed an area of concern and was told, "I wasn't getting a custom home!" he proceeded to make excuses for the imperfections and proceeded to talk about me when I walked away. Come move-in day, we get the house as is and what was marked up was to be completed by service at a later date. Our tape marks were simply removed and only a few things were fixed before they moved on to the next home. I never imagined moving into my first new-built home and being as dissatisfying as I was. Come closing day, my home was not move-in ready, and countertops, floors, cabinets, stairs, everything was covered in dust. The house was vacuumed but vacuum marks aren't enough when you can't move in immediately because you have to do a thorough cleaning beforehand. Our lights were left on in the home, we had trash in our front yard, our shower rod in one of our bathrooms was not hung, our carpet was lifting on the stairs due to the nails not being pounded down, areas of the floor were incomplete as the tile was not placed all the way to the wall, our baseboards are wavy and the drywall is wavy. We hired painters who we're having to pay more because they have to fix what the Lennar painters didn't do right the first time. Our painter pulled a vent off to paint the wall only to find someone's lunch trash. A can of Coke and a Wendy's wrapper were left right inside the vent for us to throw away. Lastly, we had urine and other evidence in 4 out of our 5 toilets from contractors using our bathrooms and not cleaning up after themselves when we were told it was cleaned. There was no soap or paper towels in the home so hands weren't being washed while the filth was spread throughout the house. The model and layout of the home are great. Entire process went very smoothly and quickly. Financing portion was a little more difficult and time consuming but overall pretty smooth.

My husband and I have purchased three brand-new homes in the past 35 years. This experience was by far the worst experience. From poor responsiveness by the sales team to the construction team to the customer care team, it's incredible to me that Lennar can survive. That said, we are in our home and love it. We are looking forward to being out of the warranty period in ten months. It seemed as though we had to and continue to have to pull teeth to get responses or items taken care of. The item of most frustration to us is the customer care department head in Colorado. We are speechless at how he has treated us and how Lennar allows it to keep happening. ... More

Throughout the whole process of looking at homes to closing, there were lots of helpful people involved. Matt, our sales guy, Tim who did our orientation and walkthrough, Cheryl our loan application manager, plus a number of other people provided support at every step.

Financial didn’t return calls. Builder didn’t return calls. Disappointed about cabinets in both model home and virtual tour left out. Tried to contact before walk through no return call. Accepted $500 to do myself. They seen me coming as this is still a big ordeal to get cabinets put in and way more expensive, so I am experiencing. Very disappointed that experienced people would put an old lady through this. Miss represented to make the sale. I would warn potential Buyers given the chance. I loved that Lennar was doing rate buy downs, it allowed us to move into our home. However, I didn't love the fact that we couldn't choose certain things about our house and that certain things weren't included and we had to do after purchasing the home. I don't particularly love our downstairs layout, I don't feel like there is enough pantry space, kitchen space, and some of the cabinets are shaped awkwardly. It also looks like the inside of the kitchen cabinets aren't really sturdy. IF you put something in the wrong way, the divider will fall. Not ideal. I feel like we could've been more involved during the building process. We only received like 3 calls throughout. Quality is honestly okay, things could've been done much better and better attention to detail was definitely needed. We had a gas leak the first day we were in there - huge problem as I was alone with my infant son. It was resolved that same day, but it shouldn't have happened if things were checked better before closing. One of the pipes on the furnace wasn't tight enough. Please pay better attention to the details and make sure you turn over a home that looks good and is good to live in. ... More

Overall a good experience just really slow to respond to questions about the house and I’m still waiting to hear back from emails a month later especially after we moved in it’s been impossible to get a hold of anyone for issues it’s very frustrating

Overall, a good experience. Main recommendation for area of improvement is oversight / quality control from the contractors. Many, MANY of the warranty issues post-closing could have been addressed with just better quality assurance by Lennar during the build process. In particular the ground/concrete work and framing. Due to lack of quality assurance, many measurements are off from the renderings, including un-even floors and walls.

Terrible experience. Total junk! Don’t waste your time! False promises just too sell a house!

We were very fortunate to find the home that we did. We lived in California, but wanted to be closer and able to help with our daughter's second baby in Colorado. We found this house online and our daughter FaceTimed us as she took a tour of the house. We both wanted it right away, so we went through the process of buying the house. Lennar made it so easy for us and showed us the steps of building the house along the way, so we felt involved and could really see what we were getting. In just over two months, we were ready to move into a newly built home! We drove to Colorado and were very happy and impressed when we finally saw the house and the neighborhood where we were going to live. We closed a week after we saw it for the first time. Everyone we've talked with and met has been extremely helpful...and the quality of the house has been very high. We're so glad we moved to this area and working with Lennar has been a very positive experience. We recommend them highly! ... More
