The quality of materials are basic as to be expected in a builder grade home. I don’t have an issue with the materials used. I have an issue with the installation and construction of those materials. From top to bottom, every surface, every install could have been done better by just about any DIYer than the Construction crew for Lennar. I blame the construction managers on up the chain of command. In my experience, the construction managers only care about pushing your closing date through and the earlier the better, despite knowing issues prior to closing. My experience: I was lied to multiple times regarding several issues that could impact my health and safety. My new build had a major and apparent roof leak. I was told it was bone dry. My home had a gas leak which was discovered during a home inspection. Almost every wall is either crooked, wavy, not square, not straight and or not plumb. My fireplace lacks insulation, so much so that the area in front of the fireplace was 23 degrees INSIDE this morning ! The house temperature was 67 degrees. The gutters leak through the soffits, The roof shingles were cupped, so Lennar squirted silicone under them and hammered them down, but only after I was told the cupped shingles were an optical illusion. My countertop has a crack where it meets the backsplash. I can’t open my back door. My floor feels like rugged, rocky terrain with the slab so far out of spec for the LVP that sits over it that the planks are breaking, worse the extreme peaks and valleys make the floor un-safe for me to walk on. The list goes on and on and on. How was my experience with Lennar? One of the worst experiences in my time on this planet. How was the response from Lennar? Abysmal! In my experience a lot of lies and double talk to get you to close. Two months in and I’m still fighting to get things fixed that should have been rectified before closing. Listen to the bad reviews! They are true. If you still have the stomach for it, then buy Lennar. My experience? My new construction home is actually a FIXER UPPER and that the poor construction has already devalued my investment/ my home. This has created undue expense and undue STRESS! ... More
