Lennar's closing practices were deceptive. Placing typical seller expenses on the buyer as well as having buyer pay for water & sewer tap fees etc.

Our whole experience was well managed, until the local utility company could not supply transformers on time. Lennar management and sales weee upfront with updates, though. However we were without internet for a month, and Lennar had not mentioned that as a problem until closing.

Worst closing day experience that I have had with a new home. There were numerous unfinished and non-corrected items in the home. The home was not cleaned! Sheetrock dust and dirt on the floors and counters/cabinets. The hot water heater over-flow pan was full of water. I spent a few hours going through the home with Tom pointing out the issues. I would have postponed the closing but I had a number of scheduled deliveries for that day. There are still a number of these noted items today that have not been corrected. The sales assistant Sue, the Lennar mortgage representative Nicole and the foreman Tom the were excellent to work with. The sales representative however never responded to our questions after the papers were signed unless he needed something. I am not sure if this is Lennar’s sales process or if it was our sales representative. Either way the process needs to be looked at.

The mortgage process was smooth. We have had some issues with the home. Lennar has been responsive. I feel if the contractors did the job right from the beginning we wouldn’t of had these issues. Biggest complaint is I had a leak in my roof, not acceptable in a brand new home. Also had a nail thru my cable in the media box for the fios connection. A chip in my shower floor. Caulking was sloppy in the bathroom. A rose bush was missing. I feel the workers are rushed to get the work done.

We had given up on a new home due to Covid. But when Lennar in Lewes opened a new section with a lot perfect for us, we were thrilled. We were hoping to be in faster than the 8 months it took from contract signing. But 8 months was our absolute limit and Lennar met that goal. Communication during the construction phase was difficult until we realized that the construction manager Tom as the person to go to for reliable information. This is our 3rd new home in the last 30 years. We are really happy with every phase of our experience with Lennar ,our sales consultant and purchase, quality of construction and attention to detail inside and outside of the home and imagination of design packages with everything included made it easy . Quality control and care given after our home was delivered was excellent. Our team , Katie, Jamie, and Chris were excellent to work with and are an asset to Lennar.

We purchase our home after 2 months of looking in Delaware. After our second visit to Walden we fell in love with one of the model and purchased it on the spot. Entire process was easy and simple. The mortgage process was even easier. All were friendly and very helpful.

The home itself is beautiful and the quality is impressive and everything we wanted. The buying and financing process was a non stop headache of poor communication and blatant deception. Supply chain issues and construction delays are very difficult to handle especially since they are not properly communicated. Waited 4 weeks for an essential steel beam to be delivered just to wait two more weeks for work to start again after delivery. Throughout that entire time the Lennar team blatantly lied about delays and timelines. We love our finished home. Would not recommend anyone building a new ...

There were too many defects and incomplete issues with the home when we had a 2 hour orientation. Instead of being able to pay attention to the orientation we spent the time placing blue tape and could’ve used many more hours. One the final acceptance walk a week later it was better but still needed more than the 2 hours allocated to mark. Issues. It was clear that Lennar project managers failed to provide quality control of their vendors and also failed to inspect and make punch lists before we inspected the home expecting Us to do that. The home is of good quality, however I think the 10 month punch-list will be long (protruding nails, settlement cracks, etc.). The home was delayed by 3 months, with no real explanation as to why. Other homes signed after ours were completed first, very aggravating. The laminate flooring is very poor quality and is easy to scratch. Overall we do love our house, but wish we had better quality in some of the workmanship and materials.

Too bad you folks are so busy trying to close sales, because it does take away from buyer attention & needs. It must be nice to pre -sell your entire inventory. It shows that You are building homes of good value!
