My only issue with the mortgage entity was some of their requests for data were absurd and unnecessary so we ignored them. The team was easy to work with and friendly.

My wife and I purchased a Lauderdale style home. The builders were responsive the sellers too. There were the inevitable things in the walk through. Most were addressed but many were not.

The sales assistant Sue, the Lennar mortgage representative Nicole and the foreman Tom the were excellent to work with. The sales representative however never responded to our questions after the papers were signed unless he needed something. I am not sure if this is Lennar’s sales process or if it was our sales representative. Either way the process needs to be looked at.

My overall experience with Lennar was good. There have been and still are issues regarding quality control. I have purchased a Lennar home in the past and was very happy. That is why I purchased another Lennar home. However, I am disappointed with some of the workmanship in my current home.

I really like the design and construction of our home. My problems started when we were rushed to have closing before the end of their quarter. Lennar would not let us settle after the end of November, as that is the end of their quarter. Made closing more stressful than it had to be. There were a couple of design changes, nothing to major, that we were not told about until seeing them and asking Lennar about it. I understand that their are design changes, but telling us what that is beforehand would have been better. Also service after the sale is pretty bad. From no communication between ...

Sidewalks and driveways are atrocious. Footprints in both and marked and discolored. Construction dust in basement and garage. Two doors painted in different finishes, on the same door. No sump pump was installed, but that was quickly resolved.

We like the style of our home, but the finishing details are not the best. The crown molding is poorly installed. Very obvious joints are visible. The appliance package is not the best either. Our microwave stopped working after 3 weeks. Took almost a month to get a new one. Our customer service person was great in getting this solved. If it weren’t for Chris C. We would still be waiting. Lennar offered more incentives to purchase a home than any other builder in the area. They were also flexible with me as I did my due diligence. A few items for feedback. The construction manager came off a bit rude while walking through the home the first and second time. My thoughts are some more professional communication skills.

Poor paint job throughout villa, wall and drywall marks easily and chip. Placement of both water hoses act ward, one inside the back of the garage wall and the other on wall at paved patio should be further away from electrical outlet. Some kitchen cabinets open into each other. Closet shelving way too high and there should be more than one shelve in each closet. I had to place more shelving in some of the closets.

We are happy to be in the home. However, we feel that a lot of corners were cut and we are very disappointed. There are stains on my rugs, lots of imperfections, our railing on our staircase is dangerously sharp, and more. Worst is the lack of response to requests to get things taken care of. Would like to have things rectified prior to our one year mark!

The way the house is built, you’d think you were getting a $150k home but it costs you $300k+. Unfortunately the people doing the work do not care about their quality of work and unfortunately the Managers who are supposed to oversee the work are either not here or don’t have the experience to understand what’s wrong. We didn’t know the questions to ask but now that we know, we wouldn’t build with this builder again.

From the moment I signed and gave my deposit for my home I felt that it was one of the last lines of communication with Lennar without pulling teeth. The only time I received a call back was when they sent me a review. After moving in and doing a virtual tour It took over a month for anyone to respond after having to reach out yet again. I have family members that moved in over a year ago and they did not have the same experience. Lennar service has for sure decreased in quality and craftsmanship. The poor workmanship and how unprepared the house on final walk through. The workers had caulk all over the house that still remains, wiring was incomplete and they did a bad job on the screened in porch.

Beware, many homes in our development have had serious plumbing issues and we are hoping we wont have the same. They rush to finish these houses that are there are too many issue with craftsmanship. Customer service has been slow to react due to staffing issues.

I moved from out of state so I relied on my realtor and Lennar sales rep to assist me thru the process. There were some issues at walkthrough which were addressed by bldg mgr such as dead sod replacement before closing. I drove for 2 days to get to DE and upon arriving at the sales office to pick up my keys I was handed my keys by the sales agent. There was no welcoming feeling from her which I thought was odd. If possible monitor your home being built from start to finish. Look closely at your walk through - there are lots of discrepancies to pick out as the contractors used during the home build are not attentive to detail.

The home itself is beautiful and the quality is impressive and everything we wanted. The buying and financing process was a non stop headache of poor communication and blatant deception. Supply chain issues and construction delays are very difficult to handle especially since they are not properly communicated. Waited 4 weeks for an essential steel beam to be delivered just to wait two more weeks for work to start again after delivery. Throughout that entire time the Lennar team blatantly lied about delays and timelines. We love our finished home. Would not recommend anyone building a new ...
