We lived in Florida where we purchased a DR Horton home. We built that one in 4 years. Lots of issues with the process and the build, so we were a little leary when we saw this Lennar Home. To our great SURPRISE, this was totally different. The process was smooth from start to finish. We were on a timeline to move to Delaware, and Lennar helped with that. They moved the closing date about a week earlier for us, so we would not be "homeless". Every question was answered and understood. From the moment I met up with Cheryl, the salesperson, I was thrilled. Cheryl really listened to me and what I wanted in a new home. The communication was fabulous. When I met Dave after I signed to build my new home, Dave explained to me the building process and when I could expect certain aspects of the development. Every question I asked was addressed and taken care of. I have tremendous respect and admiration for Lennar Builders because of those people were here everyday to make sure that my home was completed on time and in such beautiful condition.

Lennar's broker, Cheryl, was simply outstanding; very responsive on any requests we have had, both pre- and post-closing. Some finish and repair issues discovered post-closing have been or are being addressed. Overall, can recommend the Cascades in Newark DE for anyone looking for a house in a 55+ community.

Couple disappointing issues.

The house is Great! Could have been cleaned a little better, especially the heater closet. Should have gotten the pool key at settlement. Took 6 weeks to get it, now the pool is closed for the season. Had a couple small issues that were handled right away. We are very satisfied with the home.

The wholes Sales process was very pleasant. The buiders were very helpful. They knew what they were doing. Their were some things to fix in brand new house. The builder fixed them all.

The most rewarding experience I had with Lennar was working with the supervisor of the site which was Will. He was very nice and offered to help any time I had issues. I understand that the builders they are contracted with are the ones that build but any issues I found Will endured they wld be fixed . My experience was overall a positive one

For as much money as we paid, there should have been toilet paper holders towel holders, and a chandelier so I didn’t have to go out and purchase them and install them

Stephanie the sales agent was wonderful as was Joe who did my orientation walk-throughs. The lender side of things started off ok but when I started asking questions or responding that there were errors in the paperwork, the friendliness was gone and I was told time and again that "well, these are not the final papers" - not "thank you for pointing that out, these aren't the final papers and I'll make sure X is updated." The issue I have with Lennar is them making promises and not keeping them. For example Carol told my wife and I that we would be getting a stone fireplace if we purchased. When we were ready to sign she quickly switched up and said that they no longer offered that. I don’t like when people lie to get a sale. Our construction manager promised my wife and I that we would get a plate cover for the tubing behind the washer and dryer. We moved into our home in October 2019 and the plate cover is currently still not there. It’s disappointing to spend all this money and receive bad service

Overall my experience with Lennar has been good. Unfortunately, the quality of the construction, specifically the spackling and painting, was performed poorly. There were areas on the walls and ceilings where the joints were not spackled smoothly, and they were painted over, resulting in walls and ceilings that were less than smooth . Although efforts were made by Lennar to address the poor craftsmanship prior to settlement, the corrections were not sufficient. The title says it all. The only part of the process that stayed true to form was the finance section who was upfront, honest and on target through the whole process. I was told the house was a "smart house" and wifi ready; Verizon had to do to days of work just to get routine service. I was told the pool and gym would be ready by move-in, and when that didn't happen, I was told by July 4th. The pool is still a mud hole and the gym, although finished is not open to residents. When I look at most of the houses in the front part of the neighborhood, mine seens incomplete. area where there should be stone is missing. They never bothered to let us know that they had the keys to our mail box. Not very happy with there workmanship!!

Seems value for money but actually built quality is bad. Finishing looks nice while delivery, but quality is bad. Fed up with flooring issues all over, hardwood floor or carpet flooring squeaks a lot. Does not feel solid. May be they use cheaper vendors and also bad pre-delivery inspection on Lennar part. Did not expect from this largest builder in the country.

My wife and I purchased a home from Lennar back in October 2019. And we wished we would of done more research. We love our townhome. But it seems lennar utilizes inexpensive and low quality materials.

Run far away. Lennar uses subpar materials and even poorer contractors. So many problems with our new house. And when you call they just lie and deflect. Horrible company. Horrible customer service. The worst experience possible. Buy anything else.
