Lennar - The house is beautiful, but I have to place about 10 service

The house is beautiful, but I have to place about 10 service request to fix different kind of issues like drywall holes in the bathroom, celling and others areas, electrical connections, stucco issues around the house, paint issues inside and outside of the house, cabinets, celling, about 30 broken paver’s. The inside house are very dirt. When we do the walk trough one week before closing Lennar bring me promise to fix the issues before they bring me the house and nothing happens I have to place the service request because they don’t do anything. Beginning with so much promises and still waiting for them to be fulfilled. So much stuff that is not done ✅ correctly done without care nor Quality there’s some stuff so bad that are already falling apart and we haven’t even being in the home for 5 months, starting from bad finishing job on cabinets, walls with horrible cracks, caulking and pain horribly done throughout the home, ships in shower bath floor. We moved hoping to have a peaceful retirement home. While our Salesperson was very knowledgeable and did her best with purchasing, Construction was terrible. Our cabinets were installed crooked, cracked, broken due to lack of skill which caused our Stone to be unlevel. Worst home purchase experience

The worst home purchase I’ve ever had(2 previous). Went to walk through and there were numerous issues with the home. Was told that if I don’t close once they received the certificate of occupancy I would lose my deposit. It been almost 2 months since I’ve closed and there is still incomplete work. Too much back and forth with their subs.

Waste of money pay too dollars and the house is built with the cheapest materials. Sales people have no interest after ur contract is signed don’t even make sure you have everything that is supposed to come with your home. Just horrible.

I am licensed real estate agent, and this purchase is the worst experience I experienced in over 30 plus years in the business. I worked with Lennar previously and things did go smooth, but not this time. Things that went wrong : 1) I had a contingency to be respected. But it was ignored in the contract 2) house completion date that I was told was moved forward by 3 months which was not convenient at the time 3) steering toward “ Preffered lender”, which at first failed to communicate properly. I did my walkthrough a week before my closing day May 25 nothing of the list to got fixed. Cabinets unfinished not install still waiting next appointment is July 18 hoping they can do the job. Garage door is bent, they fix the rails but the door still bent. Electric problems got fix July 5 Plumbler finally fix July 7. The market is so crazy! We went to the Bonita Springs office and met with Rick - salesman - who told us that Lennar was taking bids for the remaining lots. He said that he would not be doing it that way. They had 2 lots opening soon and that he was naming the price. Overall, not what I expected. Sadly, Lennar was once a decent home builder, not any longer. Lennar are now all about the bottom line and keeping shareholders happy - a production builder! There was very little and very poor communication during the build process. Timing estimates were impossible to get to get. The initial completion date was missed by 9+ months making it hard to arrange financing, furniture and a move in schedule. Some home features were changed or deleted during the build with no discussion with the customer. Communication overall was very poor. The Lennar contacts attitude was also poor. My contact during the build was supposed to be Sam. 99% of the time he couldn't answer my question or sent me elsewhere. I was rushed to close so much that "Move in Ready" was "Move in Mess". Not cleaned, huge number of unacceptable flaws, chipped doors, paint splatter on tile and screen, construction material in pantry and drawers, AC filter was filthy, smoke detector was beeping, ring doorbell was missing. Poor Customer Experience

Lennar does not communicate with buyer during the construction nor punch list resolution process. The only work punch list items when you escalate to management. Then you get attention for a day and they ignore you the next day. They make up stories as to why things do not work or why they work the way they do. And it is always the other guys fault. No one takes responsibility to correct matters.

I would never buy a new home from Linnar again I have never seen a more sloppy construction job. Has take hours and hours to get things fixed If I had it to do over again I would just set aside 10k and hire people to just fix it, the hours I have had to spend are crazy and there is still tons to do Community center is over a year behind schudle and not even close to being done I am amazed Lennar is a profitable company running business this way

While I love the neighborhood specifically it’s proximity to Jet Blue Park( home of the Boston Red Sox spring training) the quality of work and materials used is extremely poor and defective and has not been corrected!

Ongoing Problems

Lennar is very slow to fix issues after your home has been sold. Nearly 6 months after closing we are still waiting for issues from the punch list to be fixed. Also, it seems that fixes require multiple visits because the people they are sending for repairs are not competent. The latest news from them is that their warranty department is closed for repairs, even outside ones. So they can keep the building and selling part of the business open for making money, but will keep the warranty end of the business closed at this time.

Lennar builds homes fast. But without quality workmanship. Each home is u set intense pressure to build so fast lots of shortcuts and sloppy workmanship is the norm. Months after closing we are finding things that were covered up so they would close on time especially areas outside the house, like a drainage pipe covered over with sod so we had a flood. or on top of the house where vents were installed without covers and we had a leak. The fact that at closing the take $750 for future improvements does not go into the reserves to fix future hoa issues, it is pocketed by lennar. our ...

This is my second home with Lennar in the past 4 years. Closed in April, still have not been able to move into my home. Expenses have multiplied however no home. No one takes responsibility and no one held accountable. They force you to close on a home that is not completed with the high quality Lennar sells people on. Completely dissatisfied.

Lennars home buying experience is horrific. From the lies that the manipulative realtors spew, to the horrible workmanship. Their goal of Lennar is to only complete a house to 90%before closing.
