Poor communications - lack of choices

During the entire buying and building process communications from Lennar were non existent. Lack of choices in building upgrades. Lennar cut most all extra's including lighting, Very poor excuse for a custom builder. "Everything included" is a joke!

I was very excited when I came to the development and chose to purchase a new home. In the beginning everything moved very quickly. Then it stalled. No updates, rare interaction when I reached out first. My closing date was pushed a few times, which I understand is to be expected - but I would have preferred honesty over BS. Closing day I couldn't move in because there was no occupancy permit. I have been living in the house 7 weeks now and I still don't have a refrigerator in my kitchen because the hole left was too small and it has taken this long to be corrected (still not corrected). ...

Lennars home buying experience is horrific. From the lies that the manipulative realtors spew, to the horrible workmanship. Their goal of Lennar is to only complete a house to 90%before closing. Punch lists are never completed. Extremely manipulative to women. Take total advantage of. Do not buy a Lennar home.

The buying process was great Zach followed up with us through the construction process. My biggest disappointment is the quality and the workmanship and finishes. Skip trowel finish on walls terrible done buy someone who didn't know what they were doing. We love the house and community just wish better care should be take with interior finishes.

Community is great, home layout is great. Really disappointed with the cleanliness and the actual process of a home being completed at closing. It appears that the home quality does not matter as long as there is a CO. The rest we can pass off to warranty. If there were some simple checks and balances in place where someone actually went through the homes prior and completed the items. I’m a real estate agent and can say Lennar walkthru’s are by far the most difficult and I am trying to explain to my clients why their home is not actually completed but don’t worry someone will come along ...

Overall quality good. More punch list items than expected, most minor, however one is considerable, will require cutting up master shower tile floor to pitch draining correctly, pitch off more than an inch from one end to the other. In 2013. I also had a new home built by Lennar, quality and responsiveness was better. That experience in 2013 was what lead me to stay with Lennar. The current sale rep, Moe Lee is excellent and very responsive. The mortgage team was fantastic. The only area of concern was with the overall quality of the contractor workmanship. Waste of money pay too dollars and the house is built with the cheapest materials. Sales people have no interest after ur contract is signed don’t even make sure you have everything that is supposed to come with your home. Just horrible.

Poor Customer Experience

Lennar does not communicate with buyer during the construction nor punch list resolution process. The only work punch list items when you escalate to management. Then you get attention for a day and they ignore you the next day. They make up stories as to why things do not work or why they work the way they do. And it is always the other guys fault. No one takes responsibility to correct matters.

I would never buy a new home from Linnar again I have never seen a more sloppy construction job. Has take hours and hours to get things fixed If I had it to do over again I would just set aside 10k and hire people to just fix it, the hours I have had to spend are crazy and there is still tons to do Community center is over a year behind schudle and not even close to being done I am amazed Lennar is a profitable company running business this way

I am a first-time home builder and was not sure what to expect. I was always told that Lennar was a great company, but my experience here certainly hasn't reflected that. No one who pays what we pay for on these homes should be forced to put in warranty tickets on damaged or substandard materials in a brand-new home and then wait months for replacements or repairs.

This is the second home we built with Lennar in the Vista Blue community. The true reason is that we love the community and the fact that the houses are built to a demanding hurricane code. Where Lennar falls short is in the details of its finished product. The EII program (Everything Is Included) was presented as meaning that top of the line luxury items were all included. But the reality is that the cheapest version of every item was included. Had to place best and final bid offer for home. You'll never know if you overbid or not. No customizing your new build, which is not what was communicated to us until it was too late (would have to give up deposit). They rush you to make your deposits and closing on your home, but are slow to respond when issues arise. They also don't give you timelines on how your home is progressing in the building phase. Not sure I would recommend them at this time. This makes me think twice about buying a new construction home in the future.

We moved hoping to have a peaceful retirement home. While our Salesperson was very knowledgeable and did her best with purchasing, Construction was terrible. Our cabinets were installed crooked, cracked, broken due to lack of skill which caused our Stone to be unlevel. Our hood vent never showed up so they borrowed one from a different model that didn't fit. Our light fixtures were cracked and broken along with our bathroom mirror and we had a broken window for 4 months. Our Ring Doorbell was installed broken, our Pentair Motherboard for our pool was installed broken, our AC condensor ...

We have tried to be who we are which is very accommodating and understanding people. Unfortunately the system has not been conducive to continue that. I have asked repeatedly to have our front door replaced to no avail. I had to place a chain around the two latches to secure our home. We have informed your staff that we don’t feel safe and that did nothing. You want more disappointments call me at216-789-2649. I don’t expect a call!!!
