This is our third property we have purchased, and it is our first with Lennar. We used Lennar title and Lennar mortgage hoping the process would be seamless as they are all connected. This was the worst home buying experience we have ever had. A ton of miscommunication and mistakes were made, and just a lack of ownership from all Lennar companies. They do not care about anything other than getting your money. They could not care less if the process goes smoothly, correctly or if you are satisfied. They only care about closing the deal and getting your money. And to top it off, on closing day ...

Horrible Experience

I’m still waiting for repairs to be completed from my closing over four months ago. In addition I’m in the middle of fighting tooth and nail to get someone out to repair a roof leak that has caused extensive water damage and now black mold which has rendered three rooms in my house unable to be used. My kids are crammed into other rooms now. I’ve documented everything and even called management multiple times with now follow up. The entire process has been horrendous as a first time home buyer.

No keys!

Two months after my closing, I haven't received my keys yet. Nobody from Lennar is capable of giving me a straight answer. I don't get why you rush the closing like crazy if you are not ready to provide me with my keys. Really disappointed at the level of service provided by Lennar. It's like there is no management at all in this company. Nobody takes any responsibility.

My home buying experience was horrible. It started from the salesman to the loan officer. They lacked customer service skills, respect, and information. For all the trouble I went thru to purchase my home, in the end it was not worth it. So many defiencies, lack of workmanship, and the lack of responsibility. I would not recommend Lennar to anyone. I wish I would have done my homework beforehand.

I just bought a property at lennar at Lakeland. This is the worst experience I have ever have. They took 2 months to install the motorway and shelves. The ceiling over the island kitchen is already leaking. There is water from the ceiling and leaking over the island kitchen. 2 months.

The home was poorly finished. Lennar massively delayed completion, cut corners on construction quality to try to force completion, and skimped on promised appliances and fixtures. I am repeat buyer from Lennar, but my experience was so poor this time that I will not buy another home from Lennar and advice friends against it as well.

I buying a Lennar home was a dream come true, until it became a nightmare. The quality of the materials use is more than poor, so is the workmanship. The workmanship and the construction manager was horrible. He was very rude and disrespectful. It felt like our home got started and then forgotten. When we went for our walk through we had 15 or so pages of repairs, the day before we were to close they were still not completed and we were told we were not going to be able to close. We had already given notice, rented a truck and everything; we proceeded to close while they were still working in our home that day. Even after that we have had to complete many warranty issues.This was the worst experience.

This company is focused on just pushing numbers out the door rather than customer satisfaction. The overall experience has been very disappointing as I'm still waiting for my home to be completed as we approach 2 months after the date of closing. I was offered an incentive to close on the original closing date (didn't really have a choice) and told the house would be ready within 30 days. Dream home turned into a nightmare

Awful experience! At final walkthrough the house had terrible detailing and the customer service agent didn’t resolve. It’s one thing before you close and another after closing! Lennar practically abandons you after closing and you have to resolve through warranty, which is an impersonal online unfriendly and confusing process! I will never again buy from Lennar! You shouldn’t either!

The process of buying the home was okay. We waited for about 45mins in a room after signing for the keys, then they came in with music and congratulated us. Handed the keys over and we left. After that it hasn’t been great. We’ve had issue after issue in the home and each time it seems as though we’re just a problem when trying to get it fixed. No one seems to truly care about helping. The initial sales contact was pleasant and the new home sales agent kept in touch until a deal that fit my budget could be met. I've learned with other sales agents and this one that the tone goes from professional to unprofessional once contracts were signed. Lennar is too big and has lost sight of the customer. Homebuying processes were very difficult to navigate and communication from Lennar departments was seriously lacking and very frustrating. This was my first time purchasing a home. I thought it was going to be amazing, but I would never recommend Lennar homes. I was not able to do a walk through until the morning of closing. After closing thinking the improvements would be worked on during the day after the walk through to come back at night to move in with half the house without electricity. So disappointed with all the problems we have had. From being threatened with penalties to pay if we did not close when Lennar wanted (house had many defects) didn't even had many doors on interior for over 4 months. Lennar NEVER showing up to perform work orders when scheduled. Took forever to get response for scheduling. So sad our very first brand new home to be soooo disappointed!

Lennar tried to close our home when house wasn't ready. We did Walk through 2 times but items didn't fix. Lennar pushed us to close the house and said they will charge us for each day if we push the closing date later. Finance team wasn't knowledgeble enough and they made a mistake on cash to close amount.

Contractors workmanship very poor Appliances supplied very poor and cheap manufactured 2002 Does not keep their promises on the repairs They rush you through the closing and promised to finish the remaining repairs on varies things and was poorly done Items used on the house very poor quality . I will never purchase house under the Lennar name or recommend them .
