Walking into the Model Center & being greeted by Sales Consultant Bea, in a warm, inviting & professional manner, made a lasting first impression especially when my 1st stop elsewhere was the complete opposite experience! And, after showing me the homes and finding the one I was set up to contact Lennar Mortgage. And, Miguel & the entire team were all very professional, informative & helpful in walking me through the process from start of buying my new home to finish at closing! And, being my home was in such great condition at my initial walkthrough , finding only a few minor touch ups needed that the builders took care of on the spot I didn’t need a final walkthrough! We are not new to the home-buying rodeo, in fact, this was the 4th home we have bought since 1985 and by far, buying with Lennar was the best experience we have had with any other builder, or at any price-point. When we approached the Lennar home rep we already had 2 other builders about to work with us, but Lennar beat them both by calling us on our way back home while I was driving to get us prequalified, what a pleasant surprise! It was close to 11pm and the Lennar rep stayed with us all the way until he got us qualified! We also had a firm deadline to move out of our previous home, and Lennar magically got us approved AND closed in less than two weeks, I am sure no other builder would have done that. Every single Lennar employee who assisted us on this journey was immensely helpful and professional, and somehow they were able to offer us better pricing than the original quote, and in record time. I’m so excited that I bought the new house at the McLeod community area. From the beginning to the end, it was flawless process from the loan officer to the closing. I haven’t seen anything change from the commitment standpoint since I bought the home. I’m very happy with the community and the people who live there.

I would tell others about Lennar homes

Lennar provides one of the lowest price-per-square-foot homes in our area. That is the best part of our home buying experience with them. I advise you to carefully read the contract before signing it. Lennar Mortgage was unprofessional in many ways during our buying process. They leaked our private information to other parties. The mortgage agent was unorganized and falsely accused us of withholding financial information. Make sure you carefully inspect the home during the final walk-throughs. Our "fix-it" list, which was to be completed before the final walk-through, was unfinished and we had to debate with the superintendent to get them to clean up paint that had been spilled throughout the second story of the home. After closing and living in the home for a couple of weeks we found some more issues. Our living room was wired incorrectly. The sinks in the second-floor bathrooms were leaking immediately after we closed. They cut the granite countertops incorrectly causing the sinks to leak around the base of the faucet. The solution was to try another faucet and a lot of caulk. The faucet is the incorrect type for the countertop. It's not leaking anymore, but it's still not built correctly. Our sliding glass door handle just fell off last week (after 2 months of use). Thankfully, all of these issues are covered under the warranty. What happens when that warranty ends? We will have to pay for the repairs. Considering the challenges we've encountered during our home-buying experience, I will not buy another home from Lennar. If you have other options for buying a home, then I suggest you buy from someone else. ... More

When I did the walkthrough and talk with the Lennar seller, he told me that the house came with fans in the bedrooms and living room, just like the model house ( I have these on email that he send me), even on the website you can read that the house coming with fans. My surprise is that they never installed them, I sent many emails before closing and they practically told me that now houses not have fans. I felt upset for the lie and because no one wanted to give me the fans that the house brought.

For me, buying a house with Lenar was a very short experience. It was easy. They have super trained staff and they will help you every step of the way! I recommend it 100%

Could not come to a conclusion on the safety issue that all home owners of this build have . No power no access to your garage . No door from the inside of the house . MISSED WORK OVER NOT BEING ABLE TO OPEN GARAGE !!!!!!!!!!!!! NOT A SMART BUILD . All I was told that they can’t do anything to help me

Upon putting in an offer on our home, our sales person contacted us and tried to get us to sell our current home that we were living in to "Open Door". I told her I would not do that and undercut the Realtor that we had our home listed with. She then proceeded to email us information on how to sell with them. I called her again and told her we would not be doing this and I felt like she may be getting a kickback by pushing it. The salesperson was very unresponsive from that point forward. I had to pursue other avenues to find out information about the progress of Our House because she would not Return to my phone calls. At the time we were first visiting the property,we were informed, there would be a cool playground in dog park in the development. While we understand that all homes must be complete before they be in this building process. Comma we have since learned that the pool would be acrossed the road, in another Lennard development. This would mean that my family would have to cross a major street. Walking to the pool will NOT be possible due the no cross walks, traffic lights and a speed limit of 45 mph. We will have to drive in order to use the swimming pool that we have are paying CDD's for. We believe we should have been told the truth about the pool placement. We may not have chosen this development with that knowledge. In addition, right before closing on our home when the appraisal was done. We found out that the house appraised for less than what we were paying. Lennar refused To Do anything about it and are only choice was to walk away from the deal. Since we had already sold our home and were out of it in a different state. We feel that we were put in an possession of accepting the appraisal or being homeless. Quality is so bad that toilet needs a change, sink needs a change and irrigation needs a change.

From their customer service to their final closing it was the most stress free experience I’ve had purchasing a home. 2 months total time from initial contract to final close. Amazing

Excellent job in all areas

Follow up has been good, but slow. Clarity of what needed to be done was unclear including the HOA connection and data. Closed on July 18 and I finally received HOA contact data that was usable on Sept 4th or so. Nothing mentioned about our needing to send in warranty info for appliances. Support for warranty items has gone well which is appreciated. Had to work to get help for setting sprinkler controls. Details for the hand off were scarce. Overall home prep/cleanup was poor. Seems like the caulking, painting, and general attention to detail was done by an 11 year old. I will need to take time to clean up caulk smears and over painted areas on hinges, door knobs, and even the cover for the front door lock. Very disappointed in the finishing. However, the home appears well built and we are very pleased with the home. I will continue to work with the warranty services and appreciate that option for a new home. We will recommend others to investigate purchasing here, but realize there are definitely little things that could have been done much better. ... More

There were no lights fixtures in any of the bedrooms no towel bars in any of the bathrooms the painting was sloppy the cocking & plater was sloppy I expected more for as much as this house cost
