Our experience with Lennar's new construction home purchase was disappointing and frustrating. Despite their promise of $35,000 in closing costs, we were blindsided by last-minute demands from their preferred lender, who conveniently required us to pay off additional credit card debts the day before the closing. The experience had good and bad things. The Loan Officer never replied when needed. The sales guy was 90% for us there. The other 10% was acceptable because of course he had to take days off. The title officers were 60% helpful, we had too many times to try to reach them. The Constructor manager replied after 3 days. So it looks like Lenar employees are too busy to reply to a buying customer. Other than that we are very happy, we are now in our new home, Very nice. Nice design. Thank you Lennar!. Everything was wonderful until the end of the month of August came. We were scheduled to close on 9/8/2023 and for some reason they pushed it to 8/30/3023. My husband and I took the day off, drove in the middle of a hurricane to the location we were told to be only to realize no one else was in the parking lot and and we contacted them they had forgotten to tell us it had been moved to 8/31/2023, which we were worried we couldn't go because we couldn't just ask our boss to let us have the next day off as well. The initial process was a little bumpy, but we got through it. However, during the second walk through I thought I was racing in the Indianapolis 500. That was the quickest walk through I ever did. Afterwards we learned some things were missing and some things weren't done right and as far as things not done right outside the home, make sure they get done before signing and closing on your home. You will need lots of patience. They eventually to address the needs but not everything will be complete on closing and if you don't close when they set the date, you will be charged $300 fee for everyday not closing. You have to stay on top of all issues with them, however the staff is very nice and due to the supply issues in this economy it can be a nightmare.

When I did the walkthrough and talk with the Lennar seller, he told me that the house came with fans in the bedrooms and living room, just like the model house ( I have these on email that he send me), even on the website you can read that the house coming with fans. My surprise is that they never installed them, I sent many emails before closing and they practically told me that now houses not have fans. I felt upset for the lie and because no one wanted to give me the fans that the house brought.

Upon putting in an offer on our home, our sales person contacted us and tried to get us to sell our current home that we were living in to "Open Door". I told her I would not do that and undercut the Realtor that we had our home listed with. She then proceeded to email us information on how to sell with them. Follow up has been good, but slow. Clarity of what needed to be done was unclear including the HOA connection and data. Closed on July 18 and I finally received HOA contact data that was usable on Sept 4th or so. Nothing mentioned about our needing to send in warranty info for appliances. Support for warranty items has gone well which is appreciated. Had to work to get help for setting sprinkler controls. Details for the hand off were scarce. Overall home prep/cleanup was poor. The Sales Team was AMAZING (Craig was Great) Sammy & Kris were also Great. however when it came to the what was promised with the home at the Final walk through and did not get what was promised and Lennar is now stating they will not do anything to make it right, Also I would recommend at closing you shut down the sprinkler system as I was not shown how to use and 104 thousand gallons used in 25 days I am now responsible for. Is costing me the same as my Mortgage amount.

Electrical issues. Air unit does not cool the upper level well. Hard to plug into the outlet. Paint used is flat except for the wet areas. They should of given an option.

Closing was scheduled by Lennar before all work completed. The front door was painted while we have final walkthrough on the date of closing. Many substandard jobs was done in a rush. The construction manager and customer care team were very responsible and took care of many left over jobs.

Be aware of the Move in Ready line. our house was not clean, the yard is 2 different types of sod, there were plumbing and electrical issues with the house that took 30 days to get corrected. I feel the corporation was in a rush to close and overlooked many quality issues. We will not buy another Lennar Home.

The whole process is very rushed and there is very little power given to the buyer at the end of the day. Although we had checkins and inspections, there was still no ability to see some of the issues that we needed to have addressed until after we moved in. Bought a home with Lennar at the end of March. Closing was moved up--I appreciate that. However, lots of little dents and scratches that were promised to be fixed after closing never occurred. I followed up time and time again and never heard back. I gave up and paid about $1500 to fix these items on my own. Note that the homes are built by teams of independent contractors--Lennar does not have their own teams building them. Workmanship can vary. Knowing what I know now, I would not close until all issues fixed.

What was supposed to be the house of my dreams has been filled with problems and average workmanship. The house was finished three months early, this should have been my first sign. Small details like the exterior and interior paint, carpentry, and the crumbling of my garage top the list. I requested a delay in closing due to surgery but no one responded. Then on the day of the closing, two hours prior, we were informed that Lennar postponed the closing due to an issue with the loan officer.

We were so excited to close on our new home! Until we walked in the door. The house wasn’t cleaned, drywall dust everywhere. The stove was sitting in the middle of the kitchen, the dishwasher or the disposal were not plugged in. So you know they weren’t tested to see if they worked. There was a huge dent in the top of the dryer that we saw a week before, but wasn’t replaced. Unfortunately this time around, buying lennar was not a legendary experience. Lots of delays, cancel inspection without prior notifications, final closing postponed x3-4 times. Too many Customer care representatives and no one up front to attend the customer concerns.. Do want to thank Mrs Oliveira from title/closing for her professionalism and Mr Mike McCarthy for his attention to detail.

Hello. I would equate my buying experience with Lennar to be average. Closing was delayed multiple times due to obvious supply chain issues. Communication was above average but the attention to detail in the construction of my home was lacking.
