Lennar - no pride in the craftsmanship

Felt there was no pride in the craftsmanship and that the house was rushed for a completion date. To have things looked at or fixed, you have to call incessantly. Overall we have a very nice home but the process has been full of headaches and challenges.

To summarize, I have bought 2 properties with Lennar, in the first one I had problems but I thought it was an exception but in the second time I had problems again so I finally decided to file a service request or complaint, that was more than a month ago and I still have not received response even though I sent it again due to the lack of response. It was addressed to customer service and the person responsible for that area. I hope that these surveys are reviewed and activate improvement processes and customer responses. thank you so much

Our first thought is, there was no attention to detail. Very poor quality and workmanship. It seemed to us that the general contractor did not do any walkthroughs. Prior to closing we did our own inspection, there was missing insulation (completely missing from the front of the house) and the electrical box was not grounded, two major issues, which we wouldn’t have known if it wasn’t because of our inspection. We noticed a lot of imperfections on our walls, floors, paint, dry wall and ceilings. They are putting these homes up “fast” and not ensuring quality at all. With that said, our closing ...

After a dog-eat-dog approach to commandeering a home in this subdivision the work preformed for the value is subpar. Multiple neighbors and I have had things break within the first 30 days (lights falling out of celilings, towel racks coming out of the walls etc). Also the paint within the home is so thinly applied that if you wipe it you will meet drywall. All indoor walls must be painted after move in to support the structure of the home. I would also always encourage any home buyer to pay for a private home inspection prior to closing.

I expected a much more pleasant first time home buyer experience. There was a lack of transparency, honesty, and I wish the process would have gone smoother. I love being in my home, however, certain issues could have been communicated more clearly and handled better. Quality over quantity!

They are building houses so quick that details get missed and stuff doesn't get finished. Contractors miss follow up appointments also

In good faith, I wouldn’t use Lennar as my home builder again. I’ve been in my home for four months and I’m still waiting to have construction issues resolved. Too stressful.

I think the workmanship is very poor quality I have had way to many problems to be in a brand new home it’s a nightmare but I can say that everything is being taken care of but if it was built right from start I would not have to be writing about it I came to Lennar for quality and I am disappointed.

It’s been 5 months since we closed and moved in ... there are still several issues that need to be repaired. Not a good experience with responsiveness. Also, I was asked to sign documents that stated that some of my issues were already fixed when they were not. Had to escalate!

Issues are very slow to get addressed. Had a walk through 1 week before closing, was told all issues identified would be corrected before closing. We paid cash for our house at closing and were not able to move in for another month. After trying for two months to get items corrected I was told to submit the issues as warranty calls. After numerous cracks started appearing 3 months after we closed in the stucco. The house is only 6 months old now, Lennar says this is normal and I must repair. the wood finishes are not the best

I feel that what I saw in the model home was not what they finally gave me. The doors and wooden frames have terrible finishes, with holes and paint spilled on them. The solution they have given me is that they send painters to try to disguise it as if they were fixing up an old house; When the real solution is that they had to replace those pieces of wood in poor condition, I think that this particular house did not have a good construction supervisor.

I live in Utah and purchased a Lennar home in champions gate Davenport FL to Airbnb. After I closed, my agent Jag gave me the number to a guy named Aaron with Lennar who he said would take care of helping me with warranty issues. I traveled to the house to furnish and decorate and while there I called. I texted. I called again and again. Left message after message for weeks with zero response. Patrick is an excellent and pleasant sales person; always helpful and ready to answer all your question. Overall the house will look good. If I need to critic something, I really don’t like the lack of choices when building your house...my kids are allergic and I cannot have carpet; they cannot help me. My kitchen sink will be very uncomfortable to use; but I cannot change it neither. After waiting for my house several months; I will need to spend extra several thousands $$ and time before moving to my new house which makes the process a bit more uncomfortable. The process was very stressful. No one would answer even when deadlines were coming up. It was constant pressure to sign contracts. Felt forceful. We almost didn’t go through with purchase. The house is nice but cheaply made with lots of issues. Overall a 3/5 recommendation. Still working out issues after 2 months. Overall I am happy to be in a house but the process was a 0-1 star to obtain this house.

Lennar - They put a lot of pressure to close on a date in which only Lennar

They put a lot of pressure to close on a date in which only Lennar Mortgage can comply with date. I did try to use other mortgage bankers but with penalty of $5,000 if they did not meet the closing date I was forced to use Lennar Mortgage, which by the way did not offer the best interest in comparison with others.
