My buying experience with lennar was great we were treated with importance and care. I say care because it was a very important decision we were making at this time in our life. It was quick and painless. Happy we did it.

The initial process was a little bumpy, but we got through it. However, during the second walk through I thought I was racing in the Indianapolis 500. That was the quickest walk through I ever did. Afterwards we learned some things were missing and some things weren't done right and as far as things not done right outside the home, make sure they get done before signing and closing on your home. Otherwise, you are responsible for anything that's not right on the outside of the home. Such as, cracks in the garage floor or chucks of driveway concrete missing, just to name a few. Also, doing the first walk through the Lennar guide did not want to open the attic space. Not quite sure what that was about. If asked if you want to get your own inspector before closing, I suggest you do so. However, this is our second Lennar home and though the house was not perfect it still seems to be a good house. I purchased my home in Florida while living in NJ. The process was seamless. Lennar’s sales agent was attentive and answered all my questions. I used their lender and the approval process was quick and easy. This is my second home and it was so much simpler than my first home. I would definitely recommend buying a home with Lennar!!

The house are rushed to be done

Neither the concrete subcontractor or the irrigation subcontractor showed up at the time I was told they would be here. I have not heard from either of them. The floor in the garage looks like a spiderweb. I am concerned The cracks will continue into the house and ruin the tile .I do not understand the lack of response from your subcontractors. On my final walk-through I mentioned to your representative I thought someone should have been in the house much earlier to take care of things that were still being done on the day of the walk-through. His response was “ I got here after the build was complete so it is not my house.” Not a good response. ... More

We were so excited to close on our new home! Until we walked in the door. The house wasn’t cleaned, drywall dust everywhere. The stove was sitting in the middle of the kitchen, the dishwasher or the disposal were not plugged in. So you know they weren’t tested to see if they worked. There was a huge dent in the top of the dryer that we saw a week before, but wasn’t replaced. There was 2 pages with pictures of problems we notice on the first walkthrough that still weren’t addressed on our closing day. We did not want to close because of the issues, but were told if we didn’t, who knew how long it would take before we could close. Now don’t get me wrong, they did fix all the issues in a timely manner, but the excitement was deflated. After all the problems were fixed, we really love our house now. The initial sales contact was pleasant and the new home sales agent kept in touch until a deal that fit my budget could be met. I've learned with other sales agents and this one that the tone goes from professional to unprofessional once contracts were signed. Total nightmare with mold on the build in multiple places, but the regional sales managers worked to get me into another home. The new home presented with craftsmanship issues before move in that still have not been addressed almost 90 days past closing. Some homes get a patio screen and others are told it's a mistake that all don't get them with a sliding door. Also, granite countertops and tile floors are not sealed. If you complain about the patio screen it will be removed and not replaced. Some people get balloons and welcome banners on the purchase up their new home. I didn't get any welcome and had a horrible time getting utilities established. Warranty rep professionalism needs improvement or the person needs to be replaced due to attitude and unsolicited flirting. Work orders are not responded to at all or timely. They need a Service Life ticket system to track work orders and improve communications with customers. I guess I just need to hire a third party to fix issues because it'll be quicker. We didn't pick this community. It was a last resort on moving to put our children in better schools and resolve our build issue. So far we've had our cars broken into with items stolen, random knocking at our front door and we have experienced racism in the Bartow area, but our neighborhood is very diverse and I do like our neighbors. I feel robbed of a new home buying experience and trapped a few more years until the resale market picks back up and our family can move. Never will we desire to buy with this company again. I will not recommend. They bullied me to close on Jan 31 because they wanted high numbers for the month when they knew that the property wasn't fully ready. Lights in the patio was out of order, plugs in the living room not connected, missing breaker for the Solar system, irrigation pipe for a housing plumbing pipe, wrong entry keys provided at closing. So no, I would not recommend or write a great review.

I live in Utah and purchased a Lennar home in champions gate Davenport FL to Airbnb. After I closed, my agent Jag gave me the number to a guy named Aaron with Lennar who he said would take care of helping me with warranty issues. I traveled to the house to furnish and decorate and while there I called. I texted. I called again and again. Left message after message for weeks with zero response. I know Aaron was receiving my texts because it said “read” after I sent texts. He also butt dialed me but didn’t answer when I called back. In the meantime I noticed a man coming and going from the house next door who I assumed was a handy man or owner of the house. One day this guy ran his truck into another truck parked across the street because he was in such a hurry to leave. The next day I walked outside and saw this guy with another guy wearing Lennar shirts. I asked them if they knew anyone named Aaron. Of course the guy who had been in and out of the neighbors house was Aaron. I asked him why he never responded to the multiple calls and texts. He said he didn’t even have time to eat his lunch so he didn’t have the 30 seconds it would have taken to text me that he wasn’t the guy responsible for my house. I told him if he had just let me know what I needed to do for warranty issues I wouldn’t have bothered him anymore. He walked away. Later that night Aaron knocked on my door and apologized for the confrontation earlier and that he had cleared his day for the the next day to come help me figure out my warranty issues. He said he would be there at 9am. We shook hands. All was forgiven until he didn’t show up the next day. ….once I figured out how to resolve warranty issues the process has been very good. The lady I think named amber has been great. But Aaron set me back a few weeks and now I’m back in Utah trying to deal with the different trades coming to the house for warranty issues ... More

After a dog-eat-dog approach to commandeering a home in this subdivision the work preformed for the value is subpar. Multiple neighbors and I have had things break within the first 30 days (lights falling out of celilings, towel racks coming out of the walls etc). Also the paint within the home is so thinly applied that if you wipe it you will meet drywall. All indoor walls must be painted after move in to support the structure of the home. I would also always encourage any home buyer to pay for a private home inspection prior to closing.

I expected a much more pleasant first time home buyer experience. There was a lack of transparency, honesty, and I wish the process would have gone smoother. I love being in my home, however, certain issues could have been communicated more clearly and handled better. Quality over quantity!

Home buying experience was good in regards to mortgage. But we had/have lots of issues after we moved in and is still pending.

I just bought a property at lennar at Lakeland. This is the worst experience I have ever have. They took 2 months to install the motorway and shelves. The ceiling over the island kitchen is already leaking. There is water from the ceiling and leaking over the island kitchen. 2 months.

GenerAlly good materials but sloppy installs for plumbing, lawns and bushes.

Lennar is too big and has lost sight of the customer. Homebuying processes were very difficult to navigate and communication from Lennar departments was seriously lacking and very frustrating. Pre-close walk-thru was very rushed and buyers are threatened if talk of delaying closing occurs...even when the home is not complete. Quality/workmanship is seriously lacking and below anything I've ever experienced; door-frames are not square (binding doors), cabinet doors are not straight/aligned, appliances don't work, and several other issues). I would never recommend a Lennar home to anyone and will purchase my next new-construction home from anyone but Lennar. ... More

Love the place THANK TOO THE LENNAR FAMILY

Home wasn’t ready when promised. Allowed to close without CO. Had to go to hotel. Oven didn’t fit. No kitchen for 3 weeks. Cabinets broken. House was dirty. Floor wasn’t laid level. Bumps and hills throughout. Hollow tiles throughout. Upstairs creeks. Grout not straight and spilled throughout the home. Doors not level. Stairs rails not secured. Grout accidentally used in stead of caulking. Made promises to have things done but almost 8 weeks and punch list still not done. Not even paint. Trades make appointments but never show. If we could get our money back we would move out. No one is happy in our neighborhood. Workmanship is laughable. Trades have stated they are pushed too hard and cant do quality work. NIGHTMARE. ... We have been living in the residence for a month and a half and there is still an unpainted door, we have not been given the door lock to the garage and the worst thing is that nobody answers our calls or e-mails. After the closing, they play the fool.

The mortgage process with Lennar mortgage was very easy and efficient. The actual process after moving in became a nightmare for us dealing with customer service and quality of workmanship. If you sign off on issues that you notice on your walk thru before your closing, you will most likely encounter all sorts of problems trying to get things repaired. Most of our issues have since been resolved after numerous complaints being sent to Lennar.

They did improve and nice work

Closing was scheduled by Lennar before all work completed. The front door was painted while we have final walkthrough on the date of closing. Many substandard jobs was done in a rush. The construction manager and customer care team were very responsible and took care of many left over jobs.

The process of picking out and paying for the home was simple enough however the contact for using lennar mortgage and getting the unfinished work completed has been another story. Lennar pushes incentives to close quicker but did not use them, I ask to buy down the rate but all they did was 1/8 point leaving over $10k of incentive unused. The other item pushing the close was that the property was unfinished and I have yet to hear back on when it will be completed. Lennar needs to have better customer service!
