Cheap material and sloppy building work

When you do the walk there are places that you don’t look at. The kitchen cabinets on top were broken, uneven, wrong cuts. The wall over these cabinets had a whole. You only see this if you go On top of the kitchen counters. My tub makes a noise like if a tractor is in there. I submitted a tickets since December, they went to check it and said they would come fix it, it’s been over a month since. At the begging very responsive but after they said they had to fix it, they never came back.

Lennar responded:
Hi Mariela, thank you for sharing your feedback about your new home. We are sorry to hear about the issues you described. Please email us at corporatecustomercare@lennar.com with any outstanding items, so we can research and follow-up for you. – Lennar Customer Care

Make sure you get everything done and repaired BEFORE closing. they are very helpful fixing everything but after you take possession on the home they take their time to fix or can tell you that is not covered on the warranty.

Rare to find a 3/3 model with a bedroom and full bathroom downstairs. The built was a few months as I bought during pre-construction.The house was completed right on time.

The overall process was great I just wish more options were available to wrap into the house (i.e fence, gutters, other flooring options) versus having to do them afterwards. You spend so much buying and then more afterwards. The community thebuilt is very nice.

Expect a solid structure, but poor finish details.

The construction guys do a great job at laying the block, setting in the roof and handling most of the structural components. However, the outsourced painters, finishing trimmers, tilers and carpet guys are awful. Expect paint in the carpet and windows (the paint to basically be white chalk which comes off the wall when cleaning), the tiles to be irregular in height and to have missing grout (or just black mastic coming through the light tan grout). I won't even talk about how terrible the sod is installed in the yard. With all that said, these new constructions are great value for the ...

Like any other new home, we had issues inside the apartment with the floor and other finishings. However, Lennar showed responsibility and immediate assistance to resolve all of them. They also had a big delay in the completion and function of the elevator, which has also been resolved.

Satori is a nice community, but Lenar was trying to save on things that really doesn’t worth, small details that you have to fix for yourself because their customer support doesn’t work. There are many walk away they brought to us broken from first day, electric lids not in place, the worst light poles I never see before, they don’t put soil below grass and never pick up construction sand, so if you want a nice grass you need to do it by yourself in your garden. Little details that cost you and your community extra money!

The quality of the final product is above average. Multiple issues are showing up due to the poor job provided by contractors. The responsive time to resolve issues is also poor. It takes weeks before your problem is taking seriously. I was expecting better from a company like Lennar.

Notified less than 5 days before closing that move-in was would be delayed due to cabinetry not available. This notification came after I resigned from my job, sold my home in Atlanta, and just before the drive to relocate to Florida. I stayed in a hotel for 3 weeks until unit was ready for move-in. Lennar did take care of the costs.

Lennar’s roller coaster

Process needs to more transparent and streamlined. Too many surprises. Too many financial manipulations. ie. listening price $178k. Corner lot add 5k. Final cost 183k. 17k builder contribution after adding 17k to the final price. I just got a headache trying to to wrap my mind around this process. There is shortage of housing. Homes will sell at a good profit for the builder without resorting to marketing/gymnastic acrobatics. Straight forward 1+1=2 will go a long way of creating healthy communities that all Lennar organizations will be proud of. What do I know!

Lennar - Purchasing a home for $660k I would expect the home to at least

Purchasing a home for $660k I would expect the home to at least be ready and for the workmanship to be perfect. There was a lot of things that were done incorrectly and I had to get corrected after closing as well as things that look half finished with little effort done to it. Again not what I expected after spending so much money on a home and with the caliber name of Lennar.
