We were excited to purchase our townhome and to get in on the first offering. We had a positive experience with our salesman and patiently waited several months as the finish date was delayed over and over again. Lennar’s fiscal year ends end of November. While we were on Thanksgiving weekend with our family, we were told that our CO was approved Thanksgiving day. (Nov28). Lennar’s sales manager forced us to close remotely Saturday the 30th. These people do not care about the buyer. They don’t care about your needs, they will treat you beyond very 4/10 or 5/10 and they do not care, mostly because their attitude and mindset is that if you don’t buy it someone else will. They took their time for everything and communicated so poorly but when it was time to close on the house or when they needed something they completely chang and rush you and pressure you. At first, our experience with Lennar was fantastic. The loan team moved quickly, and everything seemed to be on track. As active duty military members using a VA loan, we were led to believe that Lennar was coordinating directly with the VA on our behalf. However, after speaking with a VA loan agent, we learned that some of the documents Lennar requested from us should have been handled by them, not us. Cheap fixtures and awful finishes

The house has a lot of details, is like if they are giving you the house for free, we are still waiting for a part of the refrigerator that hasn’t arrived and it’s been 2 month since we moved in. Very cheap built houses but really expensive cost

No one listened or helped with out specific needs/requests. For instance they super nailed all the floor boards KNOWING we opted out of the cheap flooring. Why would you super nail floor boards you knew were coming OFF ?

Time to update your floor plans and details. Folks no longer use phone outlets in kitchen. those god awful cheap counter tops with office style back splash of 3 inches are a joke. Flimsy overall construction. Sloppy construction. Super annoying that there are no OPTIONS for upgrades of tiles, bathrooms, etc. AWFUL that we were given just $500 of "credit" for NOT taking those god awful old fashioned floor tiles with ugly grout lines. It is a massive house. We had to upgrade EVERYTHING! SHAME ON YOU!

Process at the beginning feels like a dream come true. After 40 days and 3 days before my closing, the nightmare starts. Lennar mortgage denied my application,n and they even care to ask for supporting documentation and anything regarding the denial, I tried to cancel everything with that denial, but Lennar insisted that it was not possible because 30 days had already passed by. After the process of getting approved by another bank because as for Lennar, I didn't have any other option, I was able to move in, I could notice bad quality, worst finishing. It’s been a horrible experience from beginning to end. I had to fight for a month and a half with Lennar to finally close on my house for they consistently had issues on their end and were not communicative about anything. I am a single woman and they dragged my process along without communicating with me at all. I finally got a MALE ADULT to go to the Lennar building and he got my house keys in two minutes. Several pending issue dragged on to fix. A few of the issues were made seem like it was supposed to be like that. Example carpet loose next to point where carpet ends and tiles lead to bathroom. First time homebuyer and the process was horrendous, especially buying pre construction. Don’t assume that just because every single house within a giant property being constructed (think Altamira in Homestead Florida) is a beautiful shade of cream with brown and tan details, that your own pre construction place will match. The reason we decided to buy in that community was because of the elegant color scheme. Frustrating and terrible buying experience

Overall my experience was downhill since the moment we decided to buy with Lennar. I could write an essay about everything that went wrong. Employees are poorly organized and departments do not communicate between each other at all. I felt like they were always trying to pull one over on me. Once I moved in and I thought the nightmare was finally over within the first week of living here we had to make 4 warranty claims. Even paying my mortgage has been a hassle. Literally could not say one good thing about this experience.
