Positive experience with some significant issues

Overall we are very pleased with our new home. COVID-related issues caused delays and unexpected changes but I don’t fault Lennar for those. The home is well built. External issues should have been avoided. Our home is on a cul de sac and was positioned such that the driveway has to be curved. The issue is complicated because utilities and a street light are located adjacent to the driveway. Lennar is working with the county to improve access, but this should have been addressed long before closing. The same issue affects other nearby homes on our street and the next street with a cul de sac.

Need new painting contractor with fresh paint

The place was painted with half dried up paint Walls look terrible. Make me send poor quality workmanship to warranty when it should be sent to contractors. They rush the sale should have done a proper inspection before closing

We had a mixed experience with our apartment purchase. On one hand, Bryan (our agent) professionalism and communication skills were commendable throughout the buying process. On the other hand, the condition of the apartment was unsatisfactory, with unaddressed issues from the walkthrough, such as an unconnected dryer exhaust duct, an unsecured washing machine drain hose, a subpar paint job, and a missing kitchen cabinet shelf.

Lennar has very unhappy buyers.The problems can be solved easily as most people here have the same problem with the same people. I have been a project manager for the last 30 years and none of the staff I have met would work for me.There is one exception,Mike Bell.Mike is professional and gets things done.He follows up after job is scheduled.You need to hire more like him

My new home consultant and construction manager (Patricia and Doug) were extremely helpful during the whole process. They both were exceptional in their service and for that I am very grateful and pleased. However, Lennar's workmanship is lacking and their lack of flexibility in customizing certain items in the home is frustrating and disappointing. Also, some of the materials used in the home are of poor quality. On a brighter note, their Customer Care Service Team is extremely responsive and helpful!

Employees did the best they could under completion pressure at year end. Magnified by hurricane and materials shortages. Recommend a customer service department independent of other departments for quality control of closing issues. I do not see any evidence of a local customer service department. Again, it's not the employees, its the large number of closings without a customer service department to handle preparation for a successful walkthrough at closing. Communication between the different departments during the home buying process is an area of growth. The overall craftmanship quality varies as there are so many different people and companies working together with poor coordination between them. I believe this interferes with getting a higher quality and thoroughly completed end product. With this said, I do have to say that I have moved in and do really enjoy the home. Contractors work quickly and not very well. Lennar should build their own homes. There were so many work orders. This was frustrating. I didn't expect to become a construction manager after buying a home. We should get a discount. It's unfair to put that on the home buyer with all the stress of moving.

it was a bit disappointing experience with Lennar. It was frustrating to deal with a sales team that seemed uninterested and not fully transparent about the details, especially when it comes to things like owning a golf cart and the charging issues in the Condos. It’s was also frustrating to be told you’re pre-approved for the loan , only to find out last minute that we weren’t. The property itself and the amenities are up to our expectations. We had a house already with Lennar that was great quality and a great buying experience. We chose to upgrade and it has led to a great deal of disappointment although the house is exactly what we want. The amount of sloppy work that was done is highly disappointing. What was even more disappointing was being charged $16,000 for delaying a closing when the house was done earlier than anticipated and yet almost nothing on our punchlist was completed. Very poor quality with overall construction and appliances

The AC contractor does not even check if the system is working correctly or not. He installed it and left the AC to run continuously and not responding to the temperature we set it for. The FPL invoice ran into hundreds even with no people inside the home for over 45 days. Next is the water heater was not even running the hot water and the construction manager does even look into these either during walking or closing. Three months after closing, we have more open issues on our closing list, than Lennar has addressed. Most of the issue were opened a month prior to closing. Should never close until the open issues list is full addressed
