I will never buy a house new house from Lennar again !!!

I closed on my house in May of 2019, and I have had issues with the workmanship of the building. The punch list that was submitted isn't even half done and it is now November 21 2019. Be aware of the lack of urgency once you close.

Disorganized, Under trained, and Dishonest

The whole experience was a struggle from the start. The house was started and then sat for 2 months while nothing was done. I was given bogus reasons, like the lumber was stolen. Only to confirm later that wasn't the case. A manager had order the wrong lumber, instead of fixing it try to cover it up. Which led to further miscommunication and further delays. Two windows were installed completely broken. I pointed this out months in advance, the week of closing it was still unrepaired. Never again with Lennar

Buying experience with Lennar is just painful from Loan process to closure. Lack of information and so much of confusion created by the Loan officer, Insurance and everything enroute including closure with so much confusion on when is closing until the day before. So many issues even after closure that I couldn't rent out for a month just to fix the umpteen number of issues that took repeated tickets to be created for AC etc. The only one that I should recognize for being better is Mike on the maintenance side that raised prompt tickets for resolution despite so many repeated occurrences. We had bad experience with lennar mortgage that at the last minute we closed with a high mortgage rate when we had months before to get paperwork all finished and a lower mortgage rate also we took off work to fly in for a final walk through but they didn’t know we were coming in and wasted our time and money to fly into town and hotel

I have owned over 20 homes through out the years and this is the worst experience thus far . I have been in the home over 6 weeks and still with a lot of unresolved issues . The last issue that happened yesterday is that they came to replaced the masters bedroom carpet and in the process they damaged the frame of the closet door and even forgot to put it back in it’s place . I will have to spend another day from my business schedule to wait for work men again. This is just not acceptable and the list goes on ….

Dead Palm

Builder planted a dead palm that never grew one new leaf in 4 months and refuses to replace it. Horrible business on behalf of the warranty department. I understand that trees and plants are not USUALLY covered under warranty but when builder puts in a tree that NEVER TOOK, they should replace it.

So many disappointing examples of wastefulness. Throw away and redo just to make the cookie cutter process easier for Lennar. Terrible experience.

I would not recommend this company, especially Lennar Mortgage company, run ... The agent that wrote up our contract was not responsive, never knew when our units would be completed. Did not email any of our information after we closed. We had to beg to get things fixed, no follow up. The management companyis even worse, Access, not responsive to emails, or calls. My information was not put in the system correctly,never received a bill, took about 11 emails, hours on the phone to get our information corrected, like name, billing address etc. Just plain poor managment of the whole ...

Terrible experience. We pushed to close on a house that was not finished and poorly constructed. We still have extensive damage that needs to be repaired.

Delays & not consumer service friendly

3 month delay in closing, sales people throw in our face that they have 2 years to complete per state statutes. Cost us a lot of money for extended stay hotels and storage while they dragged their feet in getting the house built(and NO concessions at all). Wanted a pool home, none were available, with the huge delay, they could have incorporated it in the build. The sales person was always "we can't do that" Very poor customer service. The construction manager was great and the only bright spot in this transaction.

It is obvious that Lennar is rushing to close their units and get the payment as soon as possible. Most condos are released with many deficiencies. At first the builder crew was responsive in attending some major finishing issues but after 3 months since closing they dont even answer calls or reply to messages. Very disappointing

We purchased in late April with being told a September finish//close. We sold our house and figured we would stay in an AirBnb from August until the September close. After relocating, the closing moved then to October, November, December, and then an actual close at the end of January. The contracts are written air tight to not cover any expenses from a “good faith estimate” of closing even when they have actual close dates given to you. Lacking attention to detail and timely follow up

The craftsmanship and attention to detail has been poor. Many sloppy errors and work left unfinished. Follow-up has been terrible. I am two months past closing date and nothing has been resolved. Appointments made and not fulfilled.

Poor quality and workmanship.

Quality of workmanship is horrible. Materials used are cheap and very low quality. Every issue I have brought to their attention to be fixed has been answered with a response of " that's just how it is" or "there's nothing we can do about that now" or "if we fix it, it could create even more problems or make it worse". Would not recommend Lennar as a builder to anyone.

Tedious and disappointing

This has been tiresome and disappointing all the way around from beginning to end. The salesperson misled us on when amenities would be completed, the unit wasn't finished even though we traveled a great distance for our closing & to move in, no one ever reached out to say it was delayed. Even after we moved in the work wasn't completed and was shoddy. In just 2 months we've had to constantly get into touch with them for issues (referred to warranty) and schedule workers to come. My biggest issue was the low skill level of sub contractors with paint and chalking of trim. Over paint on door hinges was ridiculous! The chalking was applied in a haphazardly method Low quality level of appliances, especially washer/dryer and dishwasher! Issues presented were not attended to by construction manager. I literally had to chase him down around the development! Overall, it was a very poor experience.

I went with Lennar because I was under the impression it was a reputable company. The mortgage department is extremely unorganized causing a lot of unnecessary time, work, and stress. At closing, the end of June, there was a list of items still not complete. I was promised the items would be promptly addressed. As of today, 8/23, not one item has been taking care of. Would not recommend Lennar.

We have been given 6 different closing periods. We finally closed after being offered an incentive because you needed to close out their year end books. We still only have a TCO but no CO due to a list of 20 items that need to be fixed: we have no shower in the master, electrical switches that don’t operate anything, half the doors are missing, moldings are missing, it had to be replastered and needs painting, cabinets need to be fixed, tiles are chipped, front door needs to be sealed, plus other issues. According to the amended contract the unit was supposed to be completed January 1/23 ...
