We’re misinformed by Lennar how Warranty works. Pit supervisor told us not to worry just moving three days after we move them. I told him that 75% of their repairs was never done and we would like him to send repair people to take care of the problems.. he’s answer was after you move in he cannot help us. We got to use the form from the website to let the repair people come in and start repairing a brand new house that was never billed, right

We built the house based on the model design, quality and craftsmanship. Issues occur with every construction project. Lennar's quality inside and out were very disappointing and issues are not being resolved.

The house was to be completed around the estimated date of Feb 23rd. The sales office representative told us that Lennar we would receive $200 a day for the amount of days that went over a certain date until official closing. The amount of days were 5 total and we should here received $1,000. That commitment was not honored. We sent the information as requested and we received nothing.

I was unable to be at the property during building, I reside NJ but should not have had bad service because of that. Everything was rushed at the end because there was a delay on the floor and I assume Lennar had to meet a quota. I was told several times that I had to close on a home that was incomplete, where they could get a temporary CO. I hired my own inspector to confirm that there were serious issues. First I will start by saying that after talking to other buyers in the neighborhood, we are not the only one that feels this way. Multiple delays on our closing date with promises that were never delivered. We dealt with an absolutely rude construction manager that had do desire to listen or get anything accomplished, but was argumentative. We appeared to be more of a hassle to her. I went thru 3 loan officers and each time had to resend my requested documents. So far my loan has been sold twice. We are on the 2nd company we pay our HOAs to. And a third construction manager, who is responsible for taking care of our warranty work. And I have only been in my house for 4 months. I love my house but as pretty as it looks, the quality of construction stinks. For example, came home to a flooded bathroom after a rain because the roof was leaking, they use a cheap flat paint that can’t be washed and gave me a coupon to get a gallon of matching paint for touch up but that paint ...

I would not recommend this builder. Throughout the process, they were unwilling to discuss or accommodate any changes, even reasonable ones. Several mistakes were made during construction, but instead of taking responsibility or working toward a fair solution, they refused to acknowledge them. The closing process was extremely difficult — they pushed to close three months before the original commitment date and showed no flexibility or willingness to work with the buyer. Overall, it was a frustrating and disappointing experience from start to finish.

Buying experience with Lennar is just painful from Loan process to closure. Lack of information and so much of confusion created by the Loan officer, Insurance and everything enroute including closure with so much confusion on when is closing until the day before. So many issues even after closure that I couldn't rent out for a month just to fix the umpteen number of issues that took repeated tickets to be created for AC etc. The only one that I should recognize for being better is Mike on the maintenance side that raised prompt tickets for resolution despite so many repeated occurrences. We had bad experience with lennar mortgage that at the last minute we closed with a high mortgage rate when we had months before to get paperwork all finished and a lower mortgage rate also we took off work to fly in for a final walk through but they didn’t know we were coming in and wasted our time and money to fly into town and hotel

The whole experience was a struggle from the start. The house was started and then sat for 2 months while nothing was done. I was given bogus reasons, like the lumber was stolen. Only to confirm later that wasn't the case. A manager had order the wrong lumber, instead of fixing it try to cover it up. Which led to further miscommunication and further delays. Two windows were installed completely broken. I pointed this out months in advance, the week of closing it was still unrepaired. I have owned over 20 homes through out the years and this is the worst experience thus far . I have been in the home over 6 weeks and still with a lot of unresolved issues . The last issue that happened yesterday is that they came to replaced the masters bedroom carpet and in the process they damaged the frame of the closet door and even forgot to put it back in it’s place . I will have to spend another day from my business schedule to wait for work men again. This is just not acceptable and the list goes on ….

Lennar Homes needs to be investigated for shady unethical business practices. They sold me a home that they appraised at $545,000 and 2 days after I closed they reduced the sales price for the same exact home for $495,000, $50,000 less than I paid 2 days prior. Not only that the quality and workmanship is so bad that I'm not sure its safe. The first night I went to turn the bathroom light on and the plate/cover came off and then got hit with a bolt of electricity that didn't feel good to say the least. I am not happy with the home buying experience we have had with Lennar. There were many issues before closing on the house that needed to be addressed and although some were addressed it wasn’t done properly and at this time we are still having the same problems, our main concern is the Lennar contracts with companies that do not stand behind their work. The prime example is the pool, the pump was leaking prior to closing which was supposed to be fixed and to this day the pump is still leaking, the pool is leaking and we are footing the bill for high water consumption. The sales agent, Jamie, was very good. We had a good experience with her. Unfortunately, the construction manager, Chad, was not. He stopped communicating with us after closing. Very little of what we asked to be corrected actually got corrected. When defects were pointed out prior to closing, it was suggested that we submit warranty claims after closing. The construction manager's explanation was that the contractors who do the warranty work were better than the construction contractors Lennar uses to build homes. That is likely true - it would be very difficult for them to be worse! ...
