Poor workmanship and bad quality

It is obvious that Lennar is rushing to close their units and get the payment as soon as possible. Most condos are released with many deficiencies. At first the builder crew was responsive in attending some major finishing issues but after 3 months since closing they dont even answer calls or reply to messages. Very disappointing

We purchased in late April with being told a September finish//close. We sold our house and figured we would stay in an AirBnb from August until the September close. After relocating, the closing moved then to October, November, December, and then an actual close at the end of January. The contracts are written air tight to not cover any expenses from a “good faith estimate” of closing even when they have actual close dates given to you. Lacking attention to detail and timely follow up

The craftsmanship and attention to detail has been poor. Many sloppy errors and work left unfinished. Follow-up has been terrible. I am two months past closing date and nothing has been resolved. Appointments made and not fulfilled.

Poor quality and workmanship.

Quality of workmanship is horrible. Materials used are cheap and very low quality. Every issue I have brought to their attention to be fixed has been answered with a response of " that's just how it is" or "there's nothing we can do about that now" or "if we fix it, it could create even more problems or make it worse". Would not recommend Lennar as a builder to anyone.

Tedious and disappointing

This has been tiresome and disappointing all the way around from beginning to end. The salesperson misled us on when amenities would be completed, the unit wasn't finished even though we traveled a great distance for our closing & to move in, no one ever reached out to say it was delayed. Even after we moved in the work wasn't completed and was shoddy. In just 2 months we've had to constantly get into touch with them for issues (referred to warranty) and schedule workers to come. My biggest issue was the low skill level of sub contractors with paint and chalking of trim. Over paint on door hinges was ridiculous! The chalking was applied in a haphazardly method Low quality level of appliances, especially washer/dryer and dishwasher! Issues presented were not attended to by construction manager. I literally had to chase him down around the development! Overall, it was a very poor experience.

I went with Lennar because I was under the impression it was a reputable company. The mortgage department is extremely unorganized causing a lot of unnecessary time, work, and stress. At closing, the end of June, there was a list of items still not complete. I was promised the items would be promptly addressed. As of today, 8/23, not one item has been taking care of. Would not recommend Lennar.

We have been given 6 different closing periods. We finally closed after being offered an incentive because you needed to close out their year end books. We still only have a TCO but no CO due to a list of 20 items that need to be fixed: we have no shower in the master, electrical switches that don’t operate anything, half the doors are missing, moldings are missing, it had to be replastered and needs painting, cabinets need to be fixed, tiles are chipped, front door needs to be sealed, plus other issues. According to the amended contract the unit was supposed to be completed January 1/23 ...

Lennar Excels in Zero Ownership and Poor Workmanship

In the four homes we have had built in our lifetimes, this was the worst experience from start to finish with having a new home built. It took over 15 months to complete the home. This was a subdivision 1 level 1850sf cookie cutter home nothing custom. It became very apparent that Lennar was overcommitted and had to much WIP (work in progress) open which basically paralyzed productivity. For the entire duration, we had to be the ones to prod and ask for updates, which were vague and usually a bunch of excuses. Lennar turned what should have a been pleasant experience into a nightmare! If I had known then what I know now about the Lennar process and the agonizing efforts to get things fixed, I would never have bought a Lennar home in this community. I only hope that once the community is completed my experience becomes more positive.

Our first experience with Lennar

We were and are excited about moving into the community of Ave Maria. Our purchase of the Ariaballa not so much! The quality and workmanship of this build has alot to be desired. Lennar was quick to take our money and when we notified them of the several issues it seems to have landed on deaf ears. From garage overhead doors that don't function, to missing trim, missing shower doors, several damaged and marked cabinets, and a long list of other items. Our suggestion would be to run as fast and far away from Lennar as possible!

It has been nothing short of a nightmare! We hired a inspector who found 98 pages of work that was not done properly and reused damaged items such as doors and appliance,Every issue is being addressed slowly and costing us time and taking away the enjoyment of our new home,We have repairs daily!!! I am not happy with the home buying experience we have had with Lennar. There were many issues before closing on the house that needed to be addressed and although some were addressed it wasn’t done properly and at this time we are still having the same problems, our main concern is the Lennar contracts with companies that do not stand behind their work. The prime example is the pool, the pump was leaking prior to closing which was supposed to be fixed and to this day the pump is still leaking, the pool is leaking and we are footing the bill for high water consumption. was 2 days before closing and cosmetic issues were still not completed after i reminded them 2 wks in advance , they probably wouldn't have done anything if i had not been proactive , there was also 2 electrical issues that i didn;t find until after closing , unfinished wiring for the attic light the switch was never installed and 3 outlets would trip immediately when used , where is quality control ? Our overall experience was very disappointing. The contractors did very sloppy work. From the paint droppings all over the floor, to uneven handles on every kitchen cabinet, every outlet and switch cover crooked, broken pavers around pool. Uneven lawn with dead sod, irrigation system not approved by HOA. Uneven seam on granite counter top and the cheapest home appliances they could find. Lennar warranty service has only addressed 25% of our complaints and others work orders have been ignored.

We have had several issues like no mirrors or shower enclosures installed until nearly 2 months after settlement, finally got them last week day before Christmas. Still have electrical issues with outside outlets as they click 24/7 unusable, and light switches within the home that are incorrectly wired.
