My experience with the builder was not good especially since they want to close before the home is complete and for someone that is a buyer from out of state is hard to check all the details of the final construction and in my home, there are lots of issue like paint, hold in the upstair stair broken or defected doors and for the high price that the home has the material, users is very low quality and the same that is listed on the home model .

While the community is attractive, the builder takes 1000% of the enjoyment of owning a new home away from the buyer. From omitted items which are in the contract, to shoddy construction, to deceptively low HOA fees, Lennar is the champion of bait and switch.

The sales agent, Jamie, was very good. We had a good experience with her. Unfortunately, the construction manager, Chad, was not. He stopped communicating with us after closing. Very little of what we asked to be corrected actually got corrected. When defects were pointed out prior to closing, it was suggested that we submit warranty claims after closing. The construction manager's explanation was that the contractors who do the warranty work were better than the construction contractors Lennar uses to build homes. That is likely true - it would be very difficult for them to be worse! ...

Worst homebuying experience

This our 3rd time buying a home, 2nd time buying a new build. We had to extend the closing date three times because the home wasnt finished. We did a walk-through before closing and gave a list to the builder of all the things that needed fixing. Some were cosmetic, but some were big deals such as the sofit was missing by the front door, the outside of the house needed to be painted (still gray with stucco), and the some doors didnt have hinges or locks. Nothing was fixed before closing and we were told someone would come during our first week. No one came for almost a month and only took ...

Brand new house with a lot of issues.Severals. Wasting time doing claims to be cover by warranty. Staff don’t perform the right job on the site. Totally disappointed.

So many issues to fix. They forced me to close on the unit even though it wasn’t ready! Lennar kept my money since November!! The closing took place in February! I still have open tickets that haven’t been resolved. Not happy. Plus I was promised pools, restaurant, gym. Nothing had been built !! No Pool for us to use and it’s summer already. Terrible. Of course we are pushing full Maintenance:

Items in the home were removed without my knowledge, and when I questioned it after purchasing, I was told that they were removed. No one follows up after money is transferred .

I closed on a townhouse on Dec. 30 and there were many problems (interior bifold doors missing, missing bath vanity, missing trim pieces, ants and spiders everywhere, etc) Plus, the overall job was extremely sloppy and unacceptable. I have spent the last two months trying to get the multitude of issues corrected so I can rent out the house. To date I have lost 2 months of rent. I had a guy come over to fix the weather strip on my front door and the door fell off because the two screws he used in each hinge (instead of 5 screws) were only half an inch long. Lazy and did the bare minimum when it came to supervision of subcontractors. It definitely shows in the final product. Quality and schedule both suffered. The quality is a C- at best and the schedule was non existent. Lennars best quality is the community that’s all, as far as a builder the peopl from start to finish do no justice for the brand. I would not recommend

Poor Customer Service and Follow Through

Closing delayed three times because house was not ready for occupancy. Punch list items promised were not completed. Still do not have water hook up to refrigerator two months after closing. Poor workmanship and no follow through on quality of work by construction superintendent. Disconnect in communication between sales team and construction team. Given our experience, would not buy another Lennar home.

Lennar - Not only was my house incomplete, but the work that was done

Not only was my house incomplete, but the work that was done was very poor quality. I was told workers would be back to complete the construction and never showed. My roof leaked and ruined a bedroom the second night I was here. I’m still trying to get repairs a month later. Absolutely horrible experience so far!!!!!

From the beginning to well after closing (1 1/2 months now,we received no occupancy permit,but forced to close!) It's been crazy busy with contractors in and out fixing all of the obvious problems that were not addressed, I would never recommend this to anyone, the horror stories are too many and such long stories, I hope this helps someone with their decision.

Will Never Buy Lennar Again

The whole experience was terrible. It was supposed to be a happy experience. We paid a lot but yet the quality was sub-par. It was a fight to have them get anything done and things were promised to get done that still haven’t. We will never buy from Lennar again.

Our home was not delivered on time not anywhere near the date that was told to us when we purchased it. When we did close and moved in we found at least 40 plus items that needed to be addressed which we have submitted tickets for repairs. Our construction manager promised he would deal with them and disappeared then we were given another contact and they disappeared. We have lived in our home for over a month and still do not have mirrors. When you submit tickets for repairs the contractor just shows up without scheduling with us and we have to work we can’t just sit around every day ...

These has been a nightmare for me. The apartment was not ready at the time of close but under threat of losing money they forced me to close. 60 days after not a single Lennar employee has come to fix the 26 issue that I have in the apartment. Do not trust Lennar Sales team or you will pay the consequences.
