Poor experience through the whole process!

A lot of promises to get us in the house. No one knows what the right hand is doing through the whole process. Lack of communication with sells people to loan officer to contractors! Signing day shows up and no one from Lennar was there, called them and they said it’s normal for us not to be there for signing day that the title company will walk you through everything you need to know! Promise us some of our closing cost back and said, oh in the middle of your contract the state changed your closing cost and we can’t give you back your money! Should have had an attorney with us!

Lennar responded:
Thank you for sharing your experience with us, Robert.
We hope that as a Homeowner, we can earn back your trust and provide a better experience in the future. If you have any warrantable items or questions, please don't hesitate to reach out to your local customer care team by submitting a warranty request through your Lennar Account. The worst New Construction home out of 11 I've purchased.

There is really not much good to say about this experience with this Lennar home. This is my second Lennar new home. I purchased the first in St. Augustine (Winward Ranch, Princeton). It had a few minor issues, but overall was a nice home. This home, first community for Lennar in Ocala FL, is a workmanship nightmare. From the curb appeal (lawns are substandard St. Aug grass full of weeds and different varieties) to the concrete work (just go for a walk in the hood and look, including mine!). The CM assigned to me did nothing (he had a complete list on April 29th, my closing was May 25th) ...

Lennar mortgage, the customer care team, the guy doing your walk through and the people who close with you are top notch. Lennar sales rep was completely worthless. Threatened us that we were going to lose our condo multiple times, gave no updates on status of our condo, why there were delays. And would only call with news two weeks after we got news from other people second hand. The only reason we stayed was because it would have cost us money to get out. Only showed up at our residence for literally 2 seconds after our walk through even though they told us they would be there hours before.

Lennar responded:
Thank you for your feedback on your recent Lennar home purchase. We sincerely apologize for the experience you've had with the Lennar Sales Rep. Moving forward, If you have any questions or have a specific warranty issue to be resolved, please don't hesitate to reach out to our customer care team by submitting an online request through your Lennar Account. Lennar Ocala - Freedom Crossing Preserve

I had an excellent experience with Lennar sales and mortgage associates purchasing the home. The salesperson was very helpful in keeping me informed during the nearly four months until the closing. However, everything turned into a very disappointing experience on the closing day. I could not make the final walk-through of the entire house because a cleaning company was at home just an hour before the closing. The project manager assured me everything was fixed from our first inspection walk a week before the closing. Minutes before the signing, after I shared my concerns, the sales ...

Jack our sales rep was not very responsive to our questions and what was going on with house at all. After closing (which was a fiasco) you think we hear from him but no, not a word. We still have broken cabinet in bathroom and door in breakfast nook that was to be fixed never was. Closet door has one handle not painted. Called customer care about spare bathroom shower having a stress fracture and I have yet to hear from our customer representative who is supposed to be taken over claim. I sure would like to have these items addressed. Also it would’ve been nice to warn people who bought ...

We purchased a house from Lennar that was under construction with the promise that it would be completed in 2 months. We moved in 6 months later, after pushing hard at the end to complete the construction. We had two walk throughs and identified over 600 items that needed to be corrected. Nearly two months after moving into the house, there are dozens of items yet to be completed. The quality of materials in the house seem to be good, but the small things that we notice every day are what drove an unfavorable experience. We still have caulk missing, uneven paint, and plumbing issues that ...

This is my first time buying with Lennar, would I do it again ? NO the quality of materials used are the cheapest they can find. As I watch the new builds down the street, I see unskilled day labor being used. They break a door and toss it. No care is given to the quality of work or workers! To be honest, they really need to find good at least half skilled labor. Mostly I see unskilled illegals working. Brought in by the truckload daily, no lie they work, but have no idea what they are doing. My low voltage electric to doorbell was put in as a 16volt and should have been a 24 voltage, the ...

From closing to getting settled in has not been a good experience. On closing day painters were still touching up the paint. The cleaner was at my home mopping and left the floor so wet it looked like the top of a lake. Response to customer care has taken over a month to get items fixed. The appliances are cheap the workmanship in probably a 7 out of 10. Probably would not purchase another Lennar home.

Let’s start with the delay in finishing the home because Lennar prioritized homes financed in house, thus causing my interest rate to rise. Then when closing happened the house was no where ready for move in and it was filthy. The dish washer wasn’t even plugged in. We had a crushed sewer pipe, there spots still missing paint almost 2 months later, yard had construction debris in it. The general inattentive attitude and the condescending response from employees, for example the fan in the living room was shaking and squeaking, when we brought this up the electrician he said “well it’s not a ...

Although i know that with any home there is no such thing as perfect, however, certain attentions to detail are clearly missing here. It definitely feels like quantity over quality. There were many things on our punch list that has still not been fixed. During our walkthroughs things were said they would be done personally by the construction manager that day, and they are still not fixed. We were told our house would be locked up at night before we were able to move in but after we had closed, and the doors were left unlocked. Again told by the construction manager. Right now we are in a ...

I was so excited to buy a Lennar home! The process started out alright, but slowly went down-hill. The communication from the salesperson was lacking. The lady in the title office was rude. Then when I had my so called”walk-through” everything got worse. My house was not completed and the work that was done-especially in some areas was so shoddy. Very poor workmanship throughout the home. I’ve been in this “construction zone” for almost two months-Lennar is very slow at trying to make things right. They have fixed/finished some things, but now it feels like I’m being ignored. Even sending ...

Waited on fixing items after closing and then informed me I had to go through the warranty side. Many items wrong are amateur items, holes in walls, paint on tile floor and rugs, knobs on kitchen cabinets don’t line up, sensors missing, openings in garage, a/c draining into the garage, weather stripping left off the external doors, house never cleaned and I could go on. Not one item has been repaired, it’s been 45 days. Talked to other owners and some of their problems are worse than mine and still waiting on repairs!

I knew that Lennar had problems because all builders do, but I didn't realize how bad it is. These lower rated reviews never get seen on the site. I checked. The only reason I gave two stars was because at least the "construction manger" gave me an online tour before purchase. Since then, it's been one problem after another- flooding, cupboards falling down, tile issues, electrical issues. dead palm tree,, half painted woodwork. just total crappy workmanship all around. Then, when a "warranty order" is submitted, it's one excuse after another. "It's cosmetic- we don't cover ...

The whole experience has been Terrible! We were supposed to close in August. Finally closed January 17th with a five page punch list. Now March and still trying to get things resolved. Lots of empty promises. Quality of workmanship is horrible. Nobody takes pride in their work and Lennar accepts that. We expected a not more from Lennar when building a $472,000 home. Would not recommend.

I went into the first time homebuilding experience with an open mind and trust that what I was told I was getting in my new home was true. Turns out that some pretty important things that I expected to have in my home were taken away without Lennar telling me. They took both bath tubs out of my house and was told that it is a 55+ community and elderly people don’t want bath tubs…well I’m 60 I’m not elderly and elderly people have grandchildren and dogs to bathe then I come to find out that the models with three bathrooms have at least 1 tub in their house! This was extremely upsetting for ...

We went under contract six months prior before the home was finished. Im married. We made the offer under my name, but for investment purposes, we wanted to have my wife be on the house instead of myself. This is a simple process, it just needs to be approved by the builder. Literally we had sent them the document and all they had to do was sign it to get it done. We tried to do this a few months before close, but the Lennar denied. And it wasn’t like my wife didn’t have the qualifications. She was pre-approved and we would’ve closed on time. I think that because the value of the house went ...

I had 2 homes built in OTOTW and 1 by Lannar. As a General8i r, bypass I saw poor workmanship and several months late to finish. The contract that had the sale price did not show about $10,000 extra that was not on that page even though we made no changes. This by far is the poorest quality I have seen. In Williamsburg Virginia Lannar turns out a very nice home, not like these Lannar homes.

We have purchased many homes through out the years. The condition of the home after we closed on it in terms of meeting county code was pathetic. Our water heater was not hooked up to the house so no hot water, there was no insulation in the attic which is another fire code, the wiring of the home was a fire code we found out as we hired our own electrician to fix our home which was 5k later. We have taken pictures of everything. We will be hiring an attorney and also calling the city to make record of their inspector who passed the home when it should not have.
