Lennar makes a beautiful home. I just wish i could enjoy it without the constant stress of things going wrong. From multiple leaks and cheap paint, to defective AC causing heat and high humidity. Uneven flooring, broken cabinets, half completed yard, plumbing was FULL of garbage that overflowed and flooded the first floor. The initial rep basically brushes things off and we had to call repeatedly to get things fixed. He was replaced and the new rep is far better. Now they fix things a lot faster but i just don't understand why there are so many things that need fixing in a new home. ...

Everybody working for lennar don't care about the customer. Every issue I had, I had no assistance to minimum assistance. For example: 6 months after buying the property my bath tub is still missing caulking. I contacted lennar, etc nobody came to fix it. The pavement in front of the house has steps from paint, nobody came to pressure wash that, and lots more.

Hi Stefan, thank you for taking time to share this feedback. We would like the opportunity to follow up on your experience. Please send us a message at corporatecustomercare@lennar.com with more details, thank you. - Lennar Customer Care

Community green spaces and amenities never completed and issues take forever to get resolved

We and 50-60 of our neighbors were all promised beautiful finished green spaces and a tot lot when we were in the sales process. Lennar never finished these and apparently has no plan to. Other neighborhoods have beautiful amenities for the same HOA cost we do. Different builders who keep their promises. We will have to hire legal council and go through mitigation for breach of the sales agreement as we were all told the same things and our neighborhood is not up to par. Items take FOREVER to be fixed on my home. We have had 3-4 people who are supposed to fix things. Why so many? Can ...

The Lennar team lacked communication. Any time we had a question it seemed like no one made time to respond or help us out unless they needed something from us; like sign a document or process a payment. Everything felt rushed and they wouldn’t accommodate to simple request we had during the closing process. Very satisfied with the house I bought, just disappointed in some of the communication skills.

Lennar responded:
Good afternoon Carlos,

We sincerely apologize for the lack of communication you experienced with our team. I have shared your comments with upper management for their review. We are happy you are very satisfied with the home you bought. iI you encounter any warranty issues, we're here to help. You can easily submit a Warranty/Service request online through your Lennar account for a quick resolution.

No brusures and feature list were given to customers. The salesman just texts the information to your cell phone. They does not provide sliding screen door as it should. They rush to conduct the final walkthrough when the construction is still under going without water. The doors can not closed without forced pushing. During online closing, the customers do not received the contact list of the utility companies, schools and emergency response. They did not disclose the 1% builder fee upfront.

Quite a few things went wrong since the closing. We did not receive the gate RFID stickers so we were not allowed into our community, even though the HOA pdfs we received 4 hours after the closing (around 10PM) stated we should've received gate stickers to access our home, so our move was delayed. We were also missing 1 garage remote (the package mentioned 2, we got 1), but around 2 months later we finally received the missing remote. There were 6 holes in the drywall: 2 in the staircase, and 4 in the ceiling. When installing ceiling fans, I found out some of the industrial screws holding the ...

Too expensive for what we actually got. Material quality is subpar and workmanship needs to be improved. Promised things would be fixed during our walk-through PRIOR to our move in and they were not. Home was not even cleaned before we moved in. Not worth it. Community is nice though, so there's that.

It's a shame that Lennar doesn't care about getting the home buyer a quality finished product. They used decent enough materials. We like the home designs and there are many thoughtful details put into the design and layout of the home. But due to poor construction management and workmanship on the finishing aspects, they've cost us as the home buyer, time, money, inconvenience, and frustration after the move in. Then they lie about fixing issues. Or send out an unqualified worker that does a crap repair. Or they send someone out that never takes any action. At that point you may as well get ...

I’ve had to submit claim after claim because the house was rushed to be completed for closing. What I disliked is my house wasn’t complete items were not finished. I only got one walk thru and that was the day of closing. I should have gotten two. The county inspector came the day of closing which is ok but the builders rushed to get it to pass but other things were not hooked up like the second washer and dryer vents. Trim work wasn’t completed. Bifold doors were not adjusted. Some of the doors did not latch on striker plate properly. I feel they all rushed and me as a homeowner should not ...

Lennar - The quality and attention to detail is terrible.

The quality and attention to detail is terrible. It's only been 4 months and a lot of the caulk jobs are coming apart. There's paint drips in the trim and on the doors, the nails under the carpet weren't hammered down and poke through, and we still have a cabinet that's dented and cabinet doors that are bowed and cracked. Many things didn't get fixed because all the construction manager cared about was getting his bonus for our house closing. The warranty person is also impossible to get a hold of whenever something is wrong. Overall, wouldn't recommend or purchase through Lennar again.

THAT IS THE WRONG LOT NUMBER! There are Corona bottle tops im my shower drain. How did that happen? Builders drinking while building? Maybe that is the reason there are so many issues here. Garage foundation messed up. Come fix that before my house cracks in half

Overall, the house is beautiful! The followup on responding to issues and fixing those issues is really bad. My landscaping throughout the backyard has holes to where almost every piece of sod that was laid, is going to cause someone to sprain or break their ankle. We paid to have our hood in the kitchen vented to the outside. This was not completed and no one has come out to correct despite multiple attempts at contacting to find out when this work would be done. I would not recommend this company to anyone because they do not stand behind their work or items that are listed in a contract.

We are in our new Lennar house, and like it, but it was months late with us in a hotel. Minimal communication ( none from actual construction personnel). Moved in finally with no certificate of occupancy, many items incomplete that took weeks to complete. The company does some things beautifully, but then cheapens it. For example , the bathroom tiling is gorgeous, then they put the cheapest lights and fixtures possible, mentioning that you change them you void your warranty.

At first glance, the houses look great. However, lines are not straight, walls are crooked, door frames are cracking and the hardware is drilled and redrilled into place leaving loose screws and doors that won't stay shut. The electrical system is faulty, plug in a hair dryer, lose power in half the house (until you reset the breaker). Water pipes aren't buried, they're simply covered with mulch. I'm afraid to see what the future brings with the quality of this house. The process of buying the home should have been an indicator of how the quality of work would have been. Each step of the ...

This is the second house I bought from Lennar, the first wasn't too bad and of course some issues came after I moved in. For the second house things were not really good from the beginning, too many issues I found after I moved and for the price that we paid I was expecting a better quality on the construction but it's Lennar what el we can expect, look around some other options and make sure that you are going to get what your money is paying for. My advice is to try to avoid this builder if you can.
