The worst experience ever

The sales agent was great, other than that it is been horrible, material are cheap , craftsmanship is even worst. 5 months after closing the house still dealing with issues that were not addressed before closing Customer service is horrible. An unresponsive. At these point I am considering hiring a lawyer to deal with the issues In My house.

Lennar - This was not a good experience as I am still dealing with issues

This was not a good experience as I am still dealing with issues 5 months later. The salesperson and closing agents did a great job with the buying process and tried to help me as much as possible. Communication with them to get things repaired that their vendors created is terrible and seems to be eventually forgotten and erased. If I don’t follow up, they will not and then the process starts all over again. I am truly disappointed. This is just my experience which is very stressful.

Memorable in the not so positive way..

The lack of a coordinated messaging for closing fate, initial purchase price fluctuations, nonresponsiveness from the NHC, numbers changing in estimate sheet the day before closing, etc etc pick an unpleasant moment and I experienced it! Now, the ladies at Lennar closing and Crystal from Inspections made up for the anxiety riddled moments! Oh, and the response for when you place a service request is stellar!

First off there was no model to look at! There was no shower door in master shower; no towel racks in any of the 3 bathrooms. No grab bars for us seniors. We had to purchase our own garage opener for the small garage. The patio out back - you can’t even put a chair on it (it’s too small). I wasn’t allowed to change the carpet in the bedrooms to tile unless I paid for it after closing. We had to get the plumber out for the water heater and washing machine

Disappointing is an understatement when it comes to our homebuying experience. Only employees we had a positive experience with are Leah who sold us the house and has been great. And crystal who did our walk through and has helped us get a number of items fixed. Where do i start? Judy who works in Title was completely clueless that we were even buying a house. She didn’t send our final numbers for closing our wire instructions until midnight, the evening before closing. We closed online. That process was seamless. We have shared with some of the top people how aweful the communication process was and hope they take it to heart for the Orlando area. Though we love our home, the warranty issues are not timely addressed. We have a builder hold up for our fence that we have been actively seeking a resolution to after 4 months. Would not recommend!

The condition of house was bad. Until yesterday I had toilet seat issues. I dont mind them charging me couple thousands more and give better quality. I have had so many issues but they were prompt to resolve. I should not have had the issues in the first place to begin with. You can check my request history. EverBe is an amazing community and really glad to have become part of it. However, the journey to get there with Lennar could have been so much better. As a real estate investor, I am a 5x Lennar home investor. 4 of them are in FL. This 5th home at Glen Pine is the worst closing experience I have ever had. I will not buy another home from Lennar in FL anymore. The main issues are poor workmanship at and missing house keys. My closing was delayed 4 weeks because of these and other issues. First, we asked for a different sales consultant which they provide a different one but the first was still involved with paperwork. Second, tried to screw me out of an interest rate lock which was already accepted. Builders did a poor job with material and not following design as they had to rebuild my island on move in day with it being to far over. First, we do love the house. However, Lennar has been a nightmare to work with. Up until the middle of January, we were told our house would be ready at the end of April of 2024 which would have been perfect timing for us. On January 18th we were told that we would be closing 12 days later on January 30th, giving us almost no warning whatsoever. If we delayed closing at all they were going to charge us $300 per day (READ YOUR CONTRACT!) for the delay. So we said fine, let us get our inspector in, like we mentioned at the beginning. My friend/real estate agent owned and sold many Lennar homes, so we had a first hand view into the process going into it. From start to finish communication was very poor and even worse within the Lennar team. Each individual we worked with was pretty good, but collectively it was a total mess. The builder is great at the beginning of the process to rope you in. Once you sign that purchase agreement communication goes to little or nothing. The price you pay for the home & the sloppy work done by the construction team is not worth your money.

If they don’t want a sloppy built home with a builder who doesn’t care because it’s all about who can build the most home in the shortest amount of time then stay away from lennar. The only time they care or reach out is when they get a bad review then you phone starts ringing & your email starts to go off. You have to live with a bad built & try to fix things yourself because of incompetent construction crew & a lennar team that wants to make sure there pay check is correct. The disorganized nature of your closing process and miscommunication was unparalleled. Never had a more frustrating experience in my life. Unresponsive. Rude. Disorganized. Lack of knowledge etc. I could not get keys but finally a woman who was a manager took time 7am on a Sunday morning to let me in.
