I had to make multiple calls to get any information and it delayed my closing and I had to escalate to the manager. Also, the warranty team is very slot in response no due diligence.

New construction, exciting but very stressful, from the Finance to the Home building experience. Lennar really works with you to try get you into a home.

We had a great experience with our salesperson. He was always there for us through the process. Not a great experience with Lennar Mortgage. Lennar has been great with taking care of post move in issues. We have a great home at a great price. I recommend Lennar.

I was extremely disappointed with my whole Lennar home buying experience. My NHC Steven was horrible. I would constantly reach out for updates/status of my home multiple times before I would receive a response. It was always the same answer no change this is post COVID times and it takes a lot longer to get things done. My previous property manager from a rental I was living at told me to get a new NHC because Steven was horrible, and I should have listened to them. Lennar title. Same exact thing. Constant requests ignored and I was 2 days out from closing and still did not have a closing time. Additionally on closing day I signed all my paperwork by 3:15 pm and they left me in a "closing room" until 5:15 pm and they finally came back in and said we can’t print checks. Seriously I had sat there for 2 hours, and no one came back in to tell me anything. Complete disregard and lack of respect for anyone’s time. Lennar Construction Manager Jeff. Anytime questions would be asked you would get a blank stare and he would walk away from me without response. On closing day when I asked about the hits on my personal inspection, he could not give an answer. Just said I went up there and there was no mold. I pulled out the report and showed him what I was talking about, and he literally turned around and walked out. I paid a lot of money to get a private inspection. None of the major hits were addressed. Along with the fact that I went and did a new home orientation and my CRM and I walked the home and she had a ton of tape all along the home and nothing was complete when we hit closing day. All they did was remove the tape Alexis put up and missed a few spots. Waste of Alexis' & my time. Additionally on closing day the home wasn’t even cleaned. I was told during new home orientation that professional cleaners will come and clean and my floors will be buffed and paint that is all over my floor will be removed. The best part was after I closed, I was cleaning, and I found the "Lennar Final Cleaning Completed" door hang in a drawer. That in itself proves the home was not cleaned. I am 48 days past closing and still have hit list of items not completed. Lennar rushed me for a closing date in December with complete disregard that it was the holidays, and they would have issues with getting workers to complete the discrepancies. I kept being told they are having issues getting people to come in because its the holidays. So instead of Lennar doing the right thing and closing in January so they could turn over a beautiful home they rushed and turned over section 8 housing. I do want to say that Denise and Alexis were amazing. Response was always immediate, and their professionalism was incredible. I regret buying this home and kick myself in the butt everyday for not walking away when I wanted to. The threat of losing my deposit is what made me stay. Not the fact that I received a beautiful home because 100% I did not get a beautiful home. I will forever give my opinion of Lennar as a horrible builder that doesn’t care about anything except making a sale. ... More

From the beginning, the sales consultant did not explain the process--especially that with Lennar there was really no choice in anything. The consultant did not explain that a buyer basically takes the next house that is scheduled, and the limited choices, interior and lot, are already determined by Lennar. No literature was available and explanations posted at the model (and even on the Lennar website) were outdated. I felt, all along, there was a concerted effort to keep the customer away from the build (yes, of course there are liability issues) and in-person interaction with the consultant. A different consultant, thank goodness, was assigned at the time of sale and she was definitely more responsive and tried to help, and was moderately communicative about the closing delays. Lennar is also transitioning to an online communication system which is supposed to keep customers informed of build status and warranty claims. Much of the purchasing process was also done online and warranty-claim interviews are most often handled remotely. Much of it is time-consuming for the customer and difficult to navigate. In general, I feel I am "bothering" Lennar with questions and warranty issues--and that their poor representatives are charged with following protocol which is pretty much to refuse anything that will cost Lennar $$. Two larger examples: two weeks before closing, I noticed the shower door was not installed in the master bath--and was informed they were no longer including them in the houses. Secondly, I am living with a front yard which dead sod was slated to be replaced during Lennar's own inspection and now Lennar is saying it can be resurrected with a combination of watering and fertilizing; so far only weeds have taken over and the professional I hired for regular care immediately informed me I had a dead front lawn. Service after purchase was much better than during construction. The construction managers were absolutely terrible causing months of delays due to manager oversight on easy things. They promised us closing dates and continued to miss those dates causing us to have to delay selling Two homes and missing the height of the summer market. We then had to store our moving truck contents for 2 weeks costing us 6,000.00 in extra moving fees because they didn’t hit the closing date they assured us they would make. This was my third house purchased with Lennar, and I was really impressed by how poor the quality of finishing and details was compared to the others. They have tried hard to resolve everything, but for me it was a disappointment and I will think twice before buying the next house with them.

At first glance, the houses look great. However, lines are not straight, walls are crooked, door frames are cracking and the hardware is drilled and redrilled into place leaving loose screws and doors that won't stay shut. The electrical system is faulty, plug in a hair dryer, lose power in half the house (until you reset the breaker). Water pipes aren't buried, they're simply covered with mulch. I'm afraid to see what the future brings with the quality of this house. The process of buying the home should have been an indicator of how the quality of work would have been. Each step of the way, I had to jump through hoops for anything from "proving" why my company hired me to many other personal and intrusive questions that had no basis on my ability to pay for the home. The home was extremely dirty when we moved in and we were told, "That's just how it is when you move into a new house." Delays due to missed inspections, poor workmanship, rude and dishonest customer experience reps! Nothing about this house or our experience was worth half the money we paid for it. Lennar reps constantly lied and tried to cover up their mistakes and those of their subs. We were forced to close before the house was complete and every worker we've had in since then have commented on the poor work that was done. I'm ashamed to own a Lennar house.

The home buying process with Lennar has been an overall success. My family and would say there were som ups and down from inception. We do understand nothing is perfect. Communication during underwriting could have been somewhat better but once again we do know that this is a process that includes many persons and parts to complete. I do believe the finished product could have been of better quality. From a cost perspective, the sub contractors should pay more attention to quality control verses quantity production. This will benefit Lennar through the warrantee and punch out time period as well as the customers having to potentially complete repairs or changes on their own. Nice house with great materials, however we missed in the living room one eletric spot instead of a sprinkle.

Al the time we received fast response.

No brusures and feature list were given to customers. The salesman just texts the information to your cell phone. They does not provide sliding screen door as it should. They rush to conduct the final walkthrough when the construction is still under going without water. The doors can not closed without forced pushing. During online closing, the customers do not received the contact list of the utility companies, schools and emergency response. They did not disclose the 1% builder fee upfront.

I consider my Lennar home good value for money and very functional. I like the layout of the Bonita model and the location near Mt. Dora is real plus. The support personnel worked to resolve any final building issues, but too many individuals were involved in the process and the closing date kept changing making it difficult to plan.

Be sure to ask lots of questions. Make a list of items to be addressed. Be patient. Lots of paperwork.

This is the second house I bought from Lennar, the first wasn't too bad and of course some issues came after I moved in. For the second house things were not really good from the beginning, too many issues I found after I moved and for the price that we paid I was expecting a better quality on the construction but it's Lennar what el we can expect, look around some other options and make sure that you are going to get what your money is paying for. My advice is to try to avoid this builder if you can.

Disappointing is an understatement when it comes to our homebuying experience. Only employees we had a positive experience with are Leah who sold us the house and has been great. And crystal who did our walk through and has helped us get a number of items fixed. Where do i start? Judy who works in Title was completely clueless that we were even buying a house. She didn’t send our final numbers for closing our wire instructions until midnight, the evening before closing. We closed online. That process was seamless. We were not told where or how to pick up house keys for our new home. Upon arriving at Lennar offices near sea world, we found Judy who then took 20 minutes to find our house keys. What she didn’t have was our mailbox keys. Insert biggest problem: our address was changed from 9765 to 9763. No big deal for us, accept that no one let the usps know. It’s is now more than 6 weeks since we moved in, and we STILL cannot receive mail, because our address doesn’t exist with the USPS. The hired help has been a bit of a nightmare as well. The electrician responsible for fixing our outlet in our garage, unplugged our garage freezer, unbeknownst to us. We finally noticed it was unplugged about 2 days later when all of our frozen chicken smelled like someone had died. There must have been 200 flies that filled our garage. That wasn’t fun to clean. The people responsible for replacing our refrigerator told us they would be there on Tuesday. At 8:30am on a Monday we get a knock on our door. They have the refrigerator. No one speaks English. I had to get my wife on the phone to translate for 30 minutes. Finally refrigerator is installed and good to go after an hour of taking off our front door to fit it inside. We go to get ice about 6 hours later, and nothing. These people forgot to connect the water line. The list goes on, but i doubt anyone has even read this far. We bought from Lennar because we loved the house, neighborhood, and Lennar has such a great reputation. What we experienced since seems like a home builder that wants to build as quickly as possible and only cares about making $. We honestly couldn’t be more disappointed with the process. It seems like you are more interesting in getting rid of your inventory than helping your customers buy a home . Poor, poor customer service. No pleased

Lennar was absolutely the worst home building experience we’ve ever been through. Extremely unorganized. Quality of work was horrendous. Lack of communication. Cleanliness was horrible. We will never build with Lennar again and will do everything we can to get others to avoid this builder.

we had a very good experience with all the Lennar team, from the downpayment to the sign at the closing, everybody, sales teams and lender team were very kind with us and always willing to helps us a find the best solutions to us.
