My friend/real estate agent owned and sold many Lennar homes, so we had a first hand view into the process going into it. From start to finish communication was very poor and even worse within the Lennar team. Each individual we worked with was pretty good, but collectively it was a total mess. There are too many examples to give and I’ve already given Lennar so much of my time that I feel like I should be an employee. Months in they pushed closing date and made no progress for more than 6weeks on walk through we had holes in wall no fridge door no molding closet doors still not hung, tile missing grout, walls and ceiling was bowed…36 problems noted. Now the second walk through was much netter but we still had issues with promise to return as well as covering expenses for an extended stay in hotel due to first walk through and we are now almost two months in and no word.

The closing was remotely, I was literally enforced to close before the issues in the inspection report were resolved. In addition to the confusion on the home warranty request dates with my other Lennar home, the request for the location of the public utility in in front of my house goes nowhere. I need someone really listen to my request, respond and resolve the issue!

We purchased from Lennar because of their next gen option in a home. Within 30 days of closing is when problems surfaced. We had sold our prior home and needed to move into the new home. Upon inspection of the home, it was possible for it to be finished. Communication with our sales person Ernest was nill to none. No returned calls. He sent text messages. 8 month delay in construction of new home

I originally signed for my home to start construction on March 2022 with a tentative date of completion for October 2022 but the home was not delivered until July 2023. The home itself was delivered up to par in terms of quality and everything so far has been working well. My only complaint again is that the home took way too long to complete, in fact, I visited my lot every week and for months and months, there was no progress made in its construction until about 4 or 5 months before July. The town house construction started in April 2022 and was completed around May 2023, 7 months past the original October 2022 expectation date. The town house looks great and I love how it turned out! My issue was with Lennar Mortgage because it was not a smooth transition. There was too much back and forth and changes in the closing cost which almost had me pull out of the deal and my interest rate changed even though I paid to hold the interest rate (This was due to the build taking longer than expected). Our new home consultant was fabulous. Our loan folks were helpful and on top of things. Our issues started with the walk through and the builder. We did our first walk through a week before our closing date to make sure that items were addressed prior to closing. With our final walk through, nothing was addressed from the the week prior. So when we closed and moved in, we had people coming in an out to do work. Terrible communication throughout the purchase process. Then they tried to delay our closing 1 day before it was scheduled. Now, 2 months after closing, they refuse to provide any warranty service and just close your tickets without any response. Just a terrible company, if you are looking for a new home, look elsewhere. Run, dont walk, away from Lennar.

The closing was not pleasant but they do make it affordable and the houses are beautiful. The builder does fix issues pretty quick once moved in. Some of the quality is pretty good and some could use some improvements.

Where to begin. Well, in many of the interior walls, the studs are not set at 16" on center, more like 22". The finished work leaves great deal to be desired. Much of the moldings are not set right and some just plain missing. The electrical work certainly wasn't up to code, since I had 3 bedrooms working off one light switch. I still have several screws that were not covered by whomever did drywall, Ans last major item was the leak under the sink. I was promised so much more than I ended up getting. It took a year past the date I signed to get my place. It is called a luxury community, but it is far from that the grass is dead.
