This is the second house I bought from Lennar, the first wasn't too bad and of course some issues came after I moved in. For the second house things were not really good from the beginning, too many issues I found after I moved and for the price that we paid I was expecting a better quality on the construction but it's Lennar what el we can expect, look around some other options and make sure that you are going to get what your money is paying for. My advice is to try to avoid this builder if you can.

Disappointing is an understatement when it comes to our homebuying experience. Only employees we had a positive experience with are Leah who sold us the house and has been great. And crystal who did our walk through and has helped us get a number of items fixed. Where do i start? Judy who works in Title was completely clueless that we were even buying a house. She didn’t send our final numbers for closing our wire instructions until midnight, the evening before closing. We closed online. That process was seamless. We were not told where or how to pick up house keys for our new home. Upon arriving at Lennar offices near sea world, we found Judy who then took 20 minutes to find our house keys. What she didn’t have was our mailbox keys. Insert biggest problem: our address was changed from 9765 to 9763. No big deal for us, accept that no one let the usps know. It’s is now more than 6 weeks since we moved in, and we STILL cannot receive mail, because our address doesn’t exist with the USPS. The hired help has been a bit of a nightmare as well. The electrician responsible for fixing our outlet in our garage, unplugged our garage freezer, unbeknownst to us. We finally noticed it was unplugged about 2 days later when all of our frozen chicken smelled like someone had died. There must have been 200 flies that filled our garage. That wasn’t fun to clean. The people responsible for replacing our refrigerator told us they would be there on Tuesday. At 8:30am on a Monday we get a knock on our door. They have the refrigerator. No one speaks English. I had to get my wife on the phone to translate for 30 minutes. Finally refrigerator is installed and good to go after an hour of taking off our front door to fit it inside. We go to get ice about 6 hours later, and nothing. These people forgot to connect the water line. The list goes on, but i doubt anyone has even read this far. We bought from Lennar because we loved the house, neighborhood, and Lennar has such a great reputation. What we experienced since seems like a home builder that wants to build as quickly as possible and only cares about making $. We honestly couldn’t be more disappointed with the process. It seems like you are more interesting in getting rid of your inventory than helping your customers buy a home . Poor, poor customer service. No pleased

Lennar was absolutely the worst home building experience we’ve ever been through. Extremely unorganized. Quality of work was horrendous. Lack of communication. Cleanliness was horrible. We will never build with Lennar again and will do everything we can to get others to avoid this builder.

we had a very good experience with all the Lennar team, from the downpayment to the sign at the closing, everybody, sales teams and lender team were very kind with us and always willing to helps us a find the best solutions to us.

Despite some delay (in COVID times), my experience with Lennar was good.

Just know that you have the best sales rep, Yvette and the best warranty/inspector Nicole. Lennar don't give you guys grace. You two did an amazing job.

After buying a perfect home from Lennar in 2007 I was really disappointed in the quality of work on on this new home. Really poor workmanship on house and landscaping

My friend/real estate agent owned and sold many Lennar homes, so we had a first hand view into the process going into it. From start to finish communication was very poor and even worse within the Lennar team. Each individual we worked with was pretty good, but collectively it was a total mess. There are too many examples to give and I’ve already given Lennar so much of my time that I feel like I should be an employee. I’m convinced that our closing would not have happened when scheduled (Lennar cancelled 3 closings prior, last minute without warning - so yes we had already moved out of our house) if I hadn’t personally coordinated the team. Disappointing to say the least - I could write a book with probably 10 chapters with all the issues. As a business owner, husband to a pregnant wife, and dad of 4 kids 6 and under having to deal with all of this was really the last thing I needed. Months in they pushed closing date and made no progress for more than 6weeks on walk through we had holes in wall no fridge door no molding closet doors still not hung, tile missing grout, walls and ceiling was bowed…36 problems noted. Now the second walk through was much netter but we still had issues with promise to return as well as covering expenses for an extended stay in hotel due to first walk through and we are now almost two months in and no word.

The closing was remotely, I was literally enforced to close before the issues in the inspection report were resolved. In addition to the confusion on the home warranty request dates with my other Lennar home, the request for the location of the public utility in in front of my house goes nowhere. I need someone really listen to my request, respond and resolve the issue!

We purchased from Lennar because of their next gen option in a home. Within 30 days of closing is when problems surfaced. We had sold our prior home and needed to move into the new home. Upon inspection of the home, it was possible for it to be finished. Communication with our sales person Ernest was nill to none. No returned calls. He sent text messages. I had to drop into the sales office to get to speck to someone. Within a week of closing we heard every excuse under the sun as to why construction was not complete. They even tried to move out our closing date, which would leave us with no place to go. It took speaking to a supervisor at Lennar lending to get the closing date we needed. Without her calls to others at Lennar, we would not have been able to move. We have been in our home over a month now and continue to find the quality of work, from drywall to floors, to be sloppy, shotty and needing repair. All of which we are doing ourselves, as Lennar is not. We did have two items that we reached out to Lennar about for repair, and thosr items have been repaired. ... More

I originally signed for my home to start construction on March 2022 with a tentative date of completion for October 2022 but the home was not delivered until July 2023. The home itself was delivered up to par in terms of quality and everything so far has been working well. My only complaint again is that the home took way too long to complete, in fact, I visited my lot every week and for months and months, there was no progress made in its construction until about 4 or 5 months before July. When I expressed my concerns to my sales rep he said there were delays in materials and labor, but other homes that started construction way after mine were more advanced in the process than mine. So in other words, people who signed their contract months after me got their homes delivered faster than me by like 3 months approximately. Which seems unfair given that I signed my contract before they did. ... More

No recomiendo a Lennar

The town house construction started in April 2022 and was completed around May 2023, 7 months past the original October 2022 expectation date. The town house looks great and I love how it turned out! My issue was with Lennar Mortgage because it was not a smooth transition. There was too much back and forth and changes in the closing cost which almost had me pull out of the deal and my interest rate changed even though I paid to hold the interest rate (This was due to the build taking longer than expected). For us the buying experience was easy and fast. They have a great staff also that its always willing to help. Thanks to Melissa, Jorge and Lissette because they really care about their customers and truly want to help.

El cierre se aplazó varias veces después de 3 aplazamientos debí cambiar de compañía (realizando las mismas funciones y el mismo cargo) además de volverme a aplazar me subieron el precio. El valor de las cuotas y el interés me lo dieron un día antes del cierre. CERO ATENCIÓN AL CLIENTE por parte del banco de LENNAR. La asesora (Graciela) nos atendió muy bien e hizo todo lo posible por ayudarnos además de la notaria cuando fuimos a firmar. Nuestro proceso duró más de 2 años, lo que hizo que tuviéramos que pagar más intereses, nos exigieron la mitad de la cuota inicial ya que nosotros pagaríamos el 20% del valor de la casa (dimos 50.000) en marzo de 2022 y nos dijeron que en caso de retirarnos del negocio perderíamos nuestro dinero por esta razón tuvimos que tolerar tanta falta de respeto. Our new home consultant was fabulous. Our loan folks were helpful and on top of things. Our issues started with the walk through and the builder. We did our first walk through a week before our closing date to make sure that items were addressed prior to closing. With our final walk through, nothing was addressed from the the week prior. So when we closed and moved in, we had people coming in an out to do work. The lady who did our walk through and orientation disappeared on us after telling us she would in touch to help get our issues resolved. We finally had someone new assigned to help us, but not without us reaching out constantly for answers. Must find a way to stay on schedule for closing dates and provide better walk through before closing.

Terrible communication throughout the purchase process. Then they tried to delay our closing 1 day before it was scheduled. Now, 2 months after closing, they refuse to provide any warranty service and just close your tickets without any response. Just a terrible company, if you are looking for a new home, look elsewhere. Run, dont walk, away from Lennar.

The closing was not pleasant but they do make it affordable and the houses are beautiful. The builder does fix issues pretty quick once moved in. Some of the quality is pretty good and some could use some improvements.

First time buyer, I'd say I had a good experience. Not without issues, but everything was resolved quickly and professionally.
