The whole process was smooth. Wasn’t a hard pitch at all. Homes are made with the lowest grade quality though. Already need to do some basic renovations which is a disappointment. But other than that everyone is super nice and pretty responsive.

Lennar's Mortgage Officer (Leigh M.) and New Home Consutant (Anaie) were outstanding in guiding me through the home purchasing process.

We have purchased many brand new built homes. We found very little pride in the workmanship of this house. Cheap fixtures, what little there were. My last home was half the cost of this one and had much better workmanship and quality of product. It was worse than pulling teeth getting our punch list resolved. The construction manager and supervisor did their very best to get issues resolved. They bent over backwards. to make sure we were satisfied. The problem had to be above their pay grade. We have had to spend a lot of money to replace, repair or obtain items to make this property the way it should have been handed over to us at closing. Hell, the developer couldn't even make the effort to even mow the lawn or clear away the bugs and spider webs around the entry way or the back patio. Not the way I would do business. ... More

I would like to share my recent experience regarding the quality of construction by Lennar, particularly in the Arden community. After purchasing a $1 million home, I conducted a thorough personal inspection with angel home inspection and what they found was several significant issues that raised concerns about the overall quality of construction. My experience the same with my previous home in Parkland, Florida, where I encountered more problems. It appears that in recent years, Lennar's focus on rapid development has compromised their commitment to quality assurance and the materials used in their homes. Unfortunately, I encountered multiple issues that were not merely minor in nature, leading me to question the durability and craftsmanship of their properties. Based on my experience, I would advise potential buyers to consider alternatives such as GL Homes or Toll Brothers, which I believe offer superior quality. I have been living in my new house for 6 weeks and since day one I have seen a drainage issue in front of my house that I am concerned about. I am worry that it will affect the house or my driveway later on. I have seen that builders have done some repairs but it is not solving the cause of the problem. There is always an area that remains wet. This has been a headache since I wasn’t expecting to deal with this since day one in a new house. I will keep communicating with the builders until this gets resolved. Hopefully soon. I have seen at least 7 houses on my block with same or worse issues but I don’t see any progress on those either. ... More

Excellent sales experience with Agnes and very quick closing

Barbara, the sales leader from Lennar was great. Very clear, balanced, honest. The overall process from start to finish was done in two weeks, simple and professional, particular for someone like me from NY where it takes months.

This was our 3rd Lennar purchase!!!! You know the old saying 3rd time is a charm well it was exactly that!!! Fast and the least painful transaction I ever made because my wife had no idea it was a surprise she was in New York!!! She was very happy about it which was not a surprise, what’s not to love new house and 5 minute walk to our daughters house!!!

My experience with Lennar mortgage company was great. But I wish I had the opportunity to make some changes especially in the bathroom, I would have chosen different titles. It’s a beautiful home. I just wish I had a chance to add my own personal touch. I would recommend Lennar mortgage company to friends and family.

The home-buying process was generally good, except for issues with Lennar Mortgage and postal delivery. Leigh and Stella often asked for the same documents, redirected me to each other for questions, and everything felt like an urgent last-minute request. They also incorrectly required me to overpay a creditor despite providing proof of a zero balance, and by the time I noticed this in the closing documents, it was too late to correct. One hour before I was scheduled to wire the funds, I was told the homeowner’s insurance I had selected was too expensive and would disqualify me for the loan, leaving me with no option but to choose a less suitable policy. When reviewing the closing documents, the old policy information was listed incorrectly, so I requested an update. Later, I was informed that my insurance company scheduled my policy for cancellation due to confusion over which policy to apply the funds to. Having to choose a substandard policy was upsetting and did not make sense since Lennar covered all closing costs including the homeowners insurance. Not sure if it was a way to force me to pay out of pocket after closing to secure the suitable homeowner insurance with the acceptable coverage such as water back up. Additionally, I've informed Lennar that seven weeks post-closing, the postal service does not recognize my address, so I haven’t been receiving mail, including utility bills and mortgage statements. However, Jack, Alex, Danny, and Javier have been excellent to work with throughout the process. Eric has recently began assisting with the postal service and has also been exceptional. His communication and updates have been much appreciated. ... More

I had an awesome experience from day 1. I highly recommend Lennar!

I have had an issue in my home since first walk thru and over two months later given constant run around. Still with no answers and it is delaying everything else that needs to happen in my home and my elderly mother has to delay moving in because of this issue and creating so much stress to my family. My husband ended up in the hospital with the added stress. Buying a new home should be happy and satisfying time not like this.

Overall, the experience was good. The sales agent and team were pushy and difficult to deal with at times.

The whole process from looking at the home till the closing was great afterwards the technician that handles the issues has been unresponsive and unprofessional. He puts a bad light on the whole experience

From selection of my home to closing, lennar made it a very easy and pleasant experience. All my concerns and questions were answered in a timely manner. The home delivery team was and still is amazing. All concerns have been addressed with the utmost of importance and care.

Wouldn’t recommend to anyone. There’s so much wrong with our house. We are missing a lot and no one to come fix it. Horrible.

Of all of the many Lennar people we dealt with, only one stands out as excellent. His name is Tom Drier.

The house cost me nearly $1.1 million and has been nothing but problems. First, the closing was a nightmare due to multiple errors made by the builder whose closing department couldn't seem to find the correct corporate resolution showing that the subsidiary conveying title actually owned the property. Then about an hour or two after the closing ended and I had received the key, I received a phone call from the builder that said it can't confirm that it received the funds so I can't enter the house until after the weekend. After that issue was resolved and I go to the house, I discover how many corners the builder cut to save a few dollars. For example, several of the outlets upstairs didn't work and since multiple outlets were involved I suspected that the circuit must have been tripped but all of them looked fine. Long story short, after hours of digging I found out that in an effort to save a few dollars the builder installed only one GFCI outlet on the circuit so I needed to find the bad outlet downstairs, outside the house, and reset it. Had this been brought to my attention during construction I would have gladly paid the $30 extra in parts to do the job correctly. Similar cost cutting measures were taken when it came to the flat wall paint, improperly fitted blinds, poorly sized A/C units, skimping on the insulation, etc. If the builder was that desperate to save what collectively amounts to maybe a few thousand dollars, I wish I would have just been given the option to pay a few thousand more to have the job done right. Then I also discovered that multiple items on the pre-closing punch list were never fixed and kept discovering more and more issues. For example, I paid nearly $75,000 for an upgrade package that included GE Monogram appliances. After moving in the microwave started making a terrible noise and the laundry room flooded. I contacted the builder who wanted nothing to do with it and told me to call GE. When a repair representative came out he showed me that the builder had dropped the microwave before installing it denting the back where the fan is causing the noise, and that the flood in the laundry room was because the builder improperly connected the machine. GE fixed the laundry flooding, but told me to contact the builder about the microwave. Finally, after several weeks GE came out to replace the microwave but said the replacement was damaged. As a result, GE took the bad microwave and left me with nothing saying they were out of stock of my microwave and would not install a different Monogram model. After several months, multiple missed appointments, and hours on the phone with GE telling me it's the builder's fault and the builder telling me it's GE's fault, finally I get a replacement microwave. It has been 5 months since I closed on the house and paid the builder more than $1 million, and I still have to deal with cabinets that were installed crooked leading to seams and drawer fronts that are cracking at the seams; 2 coffered ceilings that were never built; the wrong sliding door having been installed; getting reimbursed for replacing the doorbell chime which was wired incorrectly and despite multiple requests the builder never sent an electrician to fix it; fixing improperly leveled pavers; crooked front door jamb leading to cracking in the frame; sloppy paint and wall texture throughout the house; trying to get a refund of a duplicate $750 HOA contribution that the builder collected at closing but never actually forwarded to the HOA, and a variety of other issues. While I understand that no construction job is perfect and there are always some things that need to be fixed, the sheer number of issues are excessive and the builder's refusal to timely correct them is unacceptable. Many of my neighbors have similar complaints about getting the builder to fix issues, and on the whole I regret purchasing from this builder.
