Lennar made the overall process fairly quick and easy because they have everything you need from a lender to insurance; we didn't have to go looking for anything which was nice since we moved from another state. Our house is beautiful and we're still in love with it after two months. The biggest thing for us was everyone was worked with Mark, Tanner, Nicole, Bridget, Lisa was knowledgeable, helpful, quick to respond, and so nice. They all went out of their way to make things easy. I'd work with all of them again.

I think that Lennar builds a good home. The one subcontractor that I think could improve is their concrete pouring contractor who they used in our subdivision. The concrete slab on back patio has holes and rocks exposed on sides and cracks already in front driveway. They tried to skim coat some of walkway in front which is now chipping away. Overall the concrete peeps get a 2 out of 10. I’ve purchased a new home before out of state so I’ve experienced much better workmanship in the concrete. The drywall is pretty thin throughout the build so you can hear pretty much everything in the next room. Wish there was insulation on interior walls to muffle noise. I’m military and had to close remotely, what this experience has taught me is that I’ll never close remotely again. Lennar messed up my home insurance policy and now I’m stuck having to fix it even though I gave them all the proper paperwork. This has cost me to pay out of pocket and wait for reimbursement until the issue is resolved. I wasn’t able to make the final walkthrough and things weren’t fixed prior to me closing remotely. It wasn’t terrible but could have been better.

We had a wonderful experience

My journey started with my husband and I just looking and dreaming. Credit wasn’t great. Meet Marcia, who walked us through Sagewood. She he told us about McKenzie Ridge. She was very helpful and really felt what we wanted. A couple weeks later we went to McKenzie Ridge where we met Lynn. She was so enthusiastic and made our experience exciting. She gave her loan officer my information and told me that she would help get us on the right track. If it wasn’t for Lynn’s enthusiasm, I wouldn’t have taken the steps to work towards my dream. In general, the house is well-constructed. Ant issues initially, but I believe I've taken care of the problem. The house has no gutters - so that's an add-on charge and ditto for a yard fence. There was a construction issue where someone cut through the condenser line in the outside wall. Created mold and am waiting for a repair. Have a nice little extra light from the outside, however. Warranty guy was quick to show up to review, slow to fix and going on a couple weeks now.

I thought the master bedroom (bathroom) was small The shower is the size porta poddy

We are very pleased with our Lennar Home it was as promised and then some. The sales people were awesome very helpful.

Walls are crooked and you can tell by the baseboards, how hard is it for the superintendent to put a straight edge on it to check and say something to the framers to fix the issue, plumbing issues slow drain or no drain, had 3 plumbers out here to repair issues, flooring has issues, either scratched or scuffed, doors are squeaking bc they use mdf boards as door frames and the hinges are touching it, so when you open the door they make noise. Entire home was 379k and has no brick at all, it’s all Hardieboard, above garage I had to put caulking bc the siding had a1/2” gap and I didn’t want rain water to rot my new home away in a few years. One word - ridiculous of what they consider a good home builder. Conclusion - I would never buy a house from Lennar again. ... More

Poor construction management, doorknobs all over the house falling off doors, nails sticking up in the carpet, used razors found in the yard, literally dozens of instances of overspray, you can see points where studs are on the wall (not flush) Garage doesn’t actually fit things with the advertised depth (it’s a couple inches shorter, my truck would’ve fit if it was in fact the 20’ advertised). When I inquired about this I had no response. Lots of electrical and construction debris found in the back yard. All of this was after a home inspection that found unsecured roof shingles, missing insulation, even more overspray, broken microwave, damaged garage door, broken garage door opener, and a couple other issues (that’s just off the top of my head). ... OVERALL QUALITY GOOD I WHICH THAT LENNAR PERMIT MODIFICATION TO INTERIOR , LIKE COLOR , EXTRA HOLES ON SINK OR FLOOR OPTION AND SHOWER HEAD IS TO HIGHT UP OTHER THEN THAT EVERYTHING IS GOOD

The actual buying experience was easy. Our realtor , Rebecca was available every step of the way. She has still been trying to help with the issues that have been unresolved. We have had several people reach out with these problems but have yet to have one resolved. Unfortunately during walk through these were not identified because they were not obvious. Scratches on the floor that the workers did moving the appliances, piece of the tub missing in the lowest corner that was installed that way, nicks in the countertop, & now a dishwasher that is not working!! I was so impressed with the responsiveness of the GM but now he won’t answer my texts. We have missing molding that is now allowing ants so we had to get a treatment. I really love the home & location but not getting these things taken care of in a timely manner is unacceptable. Everyone promises they will get resolved but not one has!! The only thing that was attempted to be fixed is the countertop which they tried to “patch” & paint over. Really?? I’m just praying that nothing major shows up as time goes by. ... More

Major delays from the start, then rushing to closing. Home was NOT ready during final walk through. Was promised at closing issues would be resolved before closing was over, but 6 hours after closing we still had workers in our home. Concrete was cracked upon move in, lights hanging out of ceiling, walls not painted, appliance parts missing, bowed walls, etc. Over all the structure/bones of the home are great; however the finishes are extremely poor quality. Getting a hold of people about issues has been nearly impossible. The build/buying process was a disaster, at least coming from a first time home buyer. They rushed the process to make up for delays, and cutting corners is definitely noticeable in the finishes of the home. ... More

Rebecca replied promptly to all questions or concerns. The closing was done long distance using docusign. There were a few issues with the finished product. Most were fixed, but not all. Rebecca must have been reassigned, because we have not seen her since we moved in.

Great staff and easy to work with kept us informed on each phase from the beginning to the end.

My experience was not the best. I loved my seller Rebecca and the builder Kent. They really are fantastic people. They were very responsive to issues and would get them fixed quickly. However, the lender side of Lennar was a nightmare. Larry and his team did not communicate well with each other or with my realtor. Actually, we were several months in before they actively included my realtor; which in turn made my experience more difficult and frustrating as a first time homebuyer. The right hand didn't know what the left hand was doing. I was given bad and inaccurate information and was made to resend info that I had submitted multiple times already in the portal. I would get info from one person saying everything was good and in a matter of minutes I would have another person saying all in going to hell. Nerve racking and frustrating is an understatement. ... Once you close they pretty much ignore you. My sod died within a month and they told me it was my fault for not watering it. They did not cover sod.

Kent Thaxton and April Tomello were especially great.

I thoroughly enjoyed buying a home from Lennar. The process was easy, especially, since I was living in another state. All the team members were extremely responsive and caring. I would definitely recommend Lennar homes.

Mark did what my real estate agent did not do. I used a financing program that is not is not normally used (USDA Single Family Homes). Most people are not familiar with it. This financing program requires that you purchase in certain areas. The USDA originally said that the location I had selected was within the required location but 2 months before closing they informed me that the location I selected was NOT within the required locations. I was devastated. I called Mark and my agent to let them know that I was not going to be able to purchase the home because of the location. While my agent accepted this, Mark did not. Mark called my contact at the USDA and was able to convince them that the home I was interested in did fall in the necessary location. Mark is an incredible asset to Lennar. I wish we had more Marks in the world!! I am so grateful for him. Mark held my hand through the whole home purchasing process. Overall experience buying a Lennar home has been excellent! Very friendly and helpful team. The only major problem was landscaping/grading. Hopefully this will get resolved soon. We love our Lennar home here in the Pensacola area!
