The sales agent we worked with was fantastic and the mortgage person was fantastic too and got us a great rate. On the builder side, however, there were issues and delays. In several walks of the house, I listed several issues with the construction team and many of those issues went unsolved and as we live in the house, they continue to remain unsolved.

First of all, we we were on a waiting list for our home. Then, out of the blue, we had to endure a lengthy wait with stressful bidding...raising the price over 100k than original list price! Upon moving in, we found the the quality of trade workmanship sorely lacking. There were way too many issues on the punchlist and afterwards for any of the Lennar staff to reasonably complete in the 60 day period. We still have many issues to resolve...and a tilted ceiling that cannot be reasonably addressed. Love the place...just wish we had a much better experience. Thank heavens the salesman and construction manager made us feel much better and have been very helpful. ... More

I have purchased six homes and this experience by far was the most disappointing. Once you sign contract to purchase home the communication ends. There was no formal sit down process nor schedule given to keep you abreast of the process. Was not encouraged to meet or speak with the construction manager. Even when I contacted the corporate office and spoke with the regional manager, there was not a demonstration to take ownership of the situation and correct or improve the process.

There is no pride in workmanship when building. Also response time in taking care of warranty issues needs to be improved.

This house was definitely built for renter. Everything is cheaply made. Toilets started leaking, fridge has broken parts, front door is missing weather strips. The buying process was terrible. Lender and seller were not in tune with the community they were representing. The only reason I stayed in through the process was becuase they made eme put down 10% and would not return my money if I walked away. Never again with lennar

Getting responses from departments that are supposed to rectify issues is next to impossible. Seven weeks after closing still have 20+ items remaining from punch list.

Our condo was completed in less than a year which we were pleased with. What I'm not so pleased with is we were left with broken bi-fold doors, a dishwasher and garbage disposal that hasn't worked since day one and still isn't working. Our outside storage unit wouldn't lock with the keys that we were provided so our outdoor stuff could have been stolen while we waited more than a month for it to be re-keyed. We also weren't pleased with the follow up from our sales rep, he was very unresponsive throughout the process. We have put in trouble tickets to fix the problems that are listed above, I would be surprised if there is any urgency in fixing them since we already own the condo. ... More

Be aware of all the corners they are now cutting.

I have tempered my expectations of the builder Lennar with all that has happened over the past several years with the pandemic, labor crunch and all of the other challenges facing individuals and companies. However, Lennar uses and iron clad contract where you follow their rules or they keep your 10% down and then sell your contracted home to someone else - to say they have you between a rock and hard place is an understatement. Long story short - my new home was not complete when I received the "time to close" notice. So we closed, I headed to our new home and what did I find - a home that was roughly 95% complete. The home was dirty, there were building materials laying around, damage to appliances, dinged walls, used toilets that were left dirty, the list could go on but I think the brief description accurately depicts the circumstances. In their rush to close the properties, they closed them before they were genuinely ready, and I presume they intended to button things up at a later date. It has been 60 days since we closed and I haven't heard a word from Lennar on the open items that were to be resolved. ... More

You have no options or upgrades, just a cookie cutter builder for low to middle class. Poor quality workmanship and rushes through buildings just to sell. After closing almost two months ago I am still waiting for repairs to be done.

Workmanship and quality is terrible for the price.

My 3rd time building second time building a Lennar home, this has been the worst one by far. From the lack of communication, to the 9 week closing delay, the quality of work, missing items, incomplete items, no walk through etc. I would not recommend Lennar as a builder.

Recognize they are a production builder and volume is key, not workmanship or quality of finishes.

Many items not completed at closing but the buyer is still required to close. A neighbor had to close without a certificate of occupancy. It has been 4 months since closing and many items have still not been resolved. Example of issues: Wrong carpeting, chipped mirrors and flooring, missing window sills, missing screens, scratches, chipped and gouges in kitchen granite countertop, floor tiles scratched, bent garage door. tiles missing on roof, vent not installed on outdoor grill, dirty grout in bathrooms, bent lanai frames. They are in such a rush to get the work done so they can close that there is minimal regard for workmanship and completeness. The development itself is wonderful, the overall workmanship on the homes is poor. Each repair/fix is a different vendor and they expect the home owner to be available whenever they have time to come out. God forbid if the homeowners actually have a job and aren't available during the day. It is very frustrating to still be dealing with this on almost a daily basis. ... More

Workmanship was disappointing. The subcontractors are paid by the house so they are incentivized to move quickly to maximize how much they make. This does not result in quality work. In our house the ceiling is out of plumb by at least two inches, the windows are scratched and gouged, appliances dented, cabinets defective, trimwork cracked and poorly caulked/painted and the list goes on. We are still waiting four months after closing to correct many of these issues. It appears that Lennar has little concern with customer satisfaction and is only about closing and moving on to the next house. ... More

Lennar was in a hurry to close the home. Because of this there are many items that didn't get taken care of on the final punch list. i.e. painting, paint on carpet etc.

Poor workmanship Lenard representative was not responsive at all

Lots of unfinished sloppy work. Being addressed slowly. But have confidence that all will be addressed

That lennar doesn’t follow thru on issues. Lennar has been procrastinating on a leak in my garage for well over a month. The pavers have been removed from the side of my garage. How can it take so long to fix a leak. There is now a tropical storm coming. I’m concerned about flooding and possible damage to the slab.

Very rushed closing with hundreds of punch list items, some not fixed yet. Warranty service which is supposed to start at 30 Days is just now contacting us at 60 days. Sales and Finance teams delivered, and Construction team helpful, but corporate control of the process and follow up is non-existant.

Per Title comments above - very disappointing when multiple missing and damage items are not covered.

As so may others, we moved here from out of state and waited patiently for the house to be ready. There is not enough room here for me to list all of things that were - and still are - wrong with this house. I am not referring to little nit picky things. I mean things as bad as dangerous exposed electrical issues that finally got fixed 7 weeks after we closed. We own another Lennar house in a different state so we know that Lennar does do good work (despite its many negative reviews.) However - our experience with this house has been nothing but negative. We found out that it never even had a proper walk through because the guy was on vacation that week - can you imagine? The worst part is that we are easy going people. If there is a problem we don't complain. Instead we just want the steps to get it fixed. We have been lied to every step of the way. Our contact person harps on what was not discussed at the 30 day walk through, implying that things may not get fixed. Note - the 30 day walk through is a big joke. When there are this many things wrong you can't rush through a house and expect to get it all. If there is a 1 year warranty why can't it get fixed? Why can't we have what we paid for? This answer is not made clear. We don't understand why the response isn't more professional - such as - I am sorry this happened. Here is what we need to do to fix this for you. Instead our person tells us how this is Lennar policy and there is nothing that can be done. We have crushed cabinets and drawers, areas where the granite is not attached to the wall, pavers that were destroyed by their constructions workers, a cracked sink, major scratch in a tub, scratched up stuff everywhere, the dry wall needs to be redone in half the house, and oh, how I can go on! It has become a full time job dealing with this, waiting on vendors daily. When the plumber mentioned the cracked sink we were told that he had no right to tell us that. What kind of lack of integrity is this? Of course he should have told us. That is why he was there. If I, who am not a builder or a construction worker, have to locate all these issues - what about the issues that my lack of experience won't find? My biggest question is - Does Lennar even care? I attribute the success of my former business not only to quality of service, but to the highest level of customer service. I see NO customer service with this current Lennar experience. This house should have never been handed over in the shape that its in. Terrible workmanship and everything seemed rushed. Zero quality control done for the price we paid. If someone spends close to a million dollars on a house you expect everything to be near perfect. Extremely disappointed and disgusted with the laundry list of punchlist items that need to be addressed.
