It. Has been a disappointing experience from sales, orientation, communication, follow through to correct. deficiencies in the house a landscaping. . I am guessing you have too few staff to provide the qualities you promise. The delays in getting to closing I.e. simple repairs and/or replacements made it extremely costly and frustrating arranging shipping, transport etc all of which was easily easiily solveable.

Issues addressed immediately when found. Very customer oriented!

Get everything fixed before you move in.... landscaping is a mess....put in for your concernd

Overall, Lennar builds a decent house. However, as I’ve now learned, local workers impact the quality of the final build and buying experience a great deal. My first Lennar home was immaculate at closing. This new one was not complete, had a long list of things to finish or redo, and very dirty. Since closing Lennar has made some effort, albeit very disjointed and longer than it should be, to take of the issues. There were a number of problems in the buying process that led to delays in closing. In the three times this occurred, we were not informed until the very last minute and without sufficient transparency by sales and construction. The “everything’s included” slogan still holds true but the quality of what you get is way less than my first home. Appliances are the cheapest GE models vs the higher end models I had previously. Lennar’s financing group, on the other hand, was very responsive and prompt. In the end, we have made the new house home, but it requires a lot more personal effort than it should have. I may have had expectations set by my first experience that could not be met by the second, but I think they can and should do better by their buyers. ... More

a new person from Lennar every couple of days to the point that I was confused about who to ask questions.

We love our home and the location, neutral on the overall home buying experience rating. During the process, there are many, many things that should have gone smoother. Unfortunately, without disclosure, the Builder removed many items from our build in an effort to increase profit margins (I.e. Epoxy Garage Coating, Vanity Lights, Glass Front Door, Smart Home Features (EERO Router) etc.). One of the items was compensated, but not without a fight with the sales rep and manager. Items were documented on Lennars punch list and our Buyer Punch List 30+ days prior to closing and are just now being finished 30+ days after closing despite asking them to complete before signing. Lennar threatened to keep our Earnest Money and sell the home if we did not close, purely because a CO was issued for the home. I still have concerns with corners that may have been cut during construction, due to an abundance of other neighbors with issues - but time will tell. Please hire a Buyers Agent and Real Estate Attorney if purchasing here, review the contract thoroughly, hire a third party inspector and stay on top of documentation. ... More

There are some nice features in the house. We were not allowed to change anything even though we were willing to pay for tile in all rooms. We had a home inspector inspect the house and he made a list of things that were not done correctly in early August. We are still trying to get the last of those items finished and it is October 11th. We were not told the truth and closed on the house after being assured that all the repairs were completed only to find out that at l1 items were still not completed. For the most part the warranty repair people are much better than the original people that built the house. They have been very good to work with and do a quality job. ... More

The sales rep. Cindy was very professional and was great to work with. The closing team promised completion of all issues and that was all BS . No follow up to issues. They said what we wanted to hear to close the deal. Extremely disappointed and I would not recommend LENNAR ! Wish I had not purchased !!!

The sales agent we worked with was fantastic and the mortgage person was fantastic too and got us a great rate. On the builder side, however, there were issues and delays. In several walks of the house, I listed several issues with the construction team and many of those issues went unsolved and as we live in the house, they continue to remain unsolved.

We were forced to close on our new home, and the home was not complete. Lennar had our money, and we were closing virtually because we were located out of state. It was clear that the construction team had not completed the house and had no plans of delivering a finished product. They were pushing as much as they could on the warranty team. I have worked with other competing builders in the area and the Lennar experience was by far the worst I have seen. I'll be buying more homes in the area and most likely not from Lennar. I also won't be recommending Lennar to anyone else who asks me.

Closing took a couple of months longer than ever tef mostly due to issues out of Lennar’s control. The workmanship of the trades was excellent. The finish work was just ok. The sod died as the rear irrigation did not work for a month, and that is really the only warranty issue that I’m still waiting on. ( Irrigation fixed but the controller uses a work around not 100% correct). Overall I am very happy. It’s a great value for the money in this area. The crews were clean and polite. It’s my 4th new home and had other builders and I’d go with Lennar again hands down.

This experience has been way too stressful to even go into detail. So many issues and so many broken promises. No one gets back to you and when they do, it’s nothing but excuses. You schedule for things to be fixed and the contractors don’t show up after you’ve waited around all day for nothing. Missing light bulbs, horrible paint job, grout and paint all over the place, toilet paper holders falling off the walls, pavers loose, crooked poorly installed drawers, dirty carpets. The list goes on and oh! These things were supposed to be completed upon the second walk through and they weren’t. I was promised and asked “do you trust me to finish it?” I stupidly agreed and it never got done. Shame on me for believing it, but shame on Lennar for lying and not getting the job done and getting mad at the buyer when there’s a concern. ... More

Lennar is a builder I trust. They built our home in the time frame they promised. They delivered a product they promised. They fixed the very few issues we had with it after we took possession. It’s a beautiful product and I highly recommend them.

Was not happy with my Lennar experience. We love the area and our neighborhood but the the experience with Lennar and its salespeople is very sketchy! We were given three days notice to do our walkthrough and it was during a time our Lennar salesperson knew we were NOT available due to the personal and work commitments. They stopped corresponding with us after we asked for a new date then went ahead and did the walkthrough without us. We got a very brief video of our walkthrough that was conducted by a Lennar salesperson. Not only was this a conflict of interest but the video we received of the walkthrough only covered superficial items and did not look at electrical, plumbing, garage doors, etc. In summary, a national company that worries about sales numbers, the bottom dollar, and NOT their customer. Too bad that is how you have to start your experience with your new home. ... More

Lennar is the worst home buying experience you could ever imagine. Broken appliances . the expectation is for them to completely inconvenience you and nothing ever gets resolved. Dryer broken, stove leaks gas.. techs have been out 3 times now. Still not resolved.Every issues is another problems issue

I initially started working with one man he was no help helping me answer my questions. Meant with him twice before a purchased my home. Then he was gone. No one ever contacted me again. Tried to call and got no answer. Finally I drove up here to see what was going on and I was told he left the company. That was it. Finally I was told someone would contact me . No one did. I drove here again. Approximately 2 hour drive. This man in the office said he had a headache and couldn’t talk to me because he was going to lunch. I waited with my friend, another hour and a half when he returned. I walked in his office and said I just have a few questions about my contract. He grabbed my contract looked at what I had circled threw it at me, tearing it and said go home and read it again. My friend and I were in shock! I had just spent over 6 hundred thousand dollars and I was treated this badly. I went to a lawyer to get out of the contract but was told I was stuck! I was so terrified I had made the biggest mistake of my life. Nothing changed until I finally got word the home was finally ready. I had been assigned a new rep and she answered my calls . After I moved in the cooperation was unbelievably better. My girl assigned to fix the things that had to be changed were handled so well and the people were so friendly and supportive and followed through beautifully. But the beginning was so horrible that I have a hard time getting past it. ... More

Love my new beautiful home

It was very nice having such a simple process to purchase a new home, but with no sales center at our community. Our conversation with the sales rep was short and to the point with many details missing. Also, the contract we signed in Docusign was missing the upgrades package for our home. We were also given zero information about our HOA from the sales agent. Gratefully, we had a good mortgage officer and construction manager. Because the did all the heavy lifting in make sure our process was smooth. The closing office forgot to reschedule us or keep us updated on the delays of our home. The construction manager Rob did that for us. The closing officer also didn't let us handle the tape during our walk through. She forced us to tell her what to tape. We ended up buying our own tape and walking through an hour after the initial walkthrough was done. Overall grateful for the help we did receive and the beautiful home for the absolutely wonderful price. ... More

The response to fixing things is great. Would be nice to have bushes included in maintenance.

Lennar was in a hurry to close the home. Because of this there are many items that didn't get taken care of on the final punch list. i.e. painting, paint on carpet etc.

Forced to close with no regard for customer satisfaction

Joey D was great, after his part it’s been one problem after another. The bottom line is speed is prioritized over quality…and it really shows. What should be a wonderful experience has been about as fun as a root canal. Appliances, electrical, carpentry, paint, masonry, landscaping, plumbing, HVAC, stucco, cabinetry, tile - I can’t think of one aspect of our house that hasn’t had issues. Just exhausting, frustrating, and disappointing.

Purchased two townhomes in Lakewood Ranch. (Lorraine Lakes) Sales Rep for Lennar was completely unprofessional in his approach. Craftsmanship and customer services has gone by the wayside. Their a production builder and apparently hire anybody.

The staff at Lennar are wonderful and the buying process was made as simple as possible. The real issue that Lennar needs to work on, is the finishing work and hire contractors that deliver a much higher quality of craftsmanship than they do today. We had a terrible walk through and closing experience due to the bevy of unresolved items that our project manager didn’t handle. If Lennar had a quality coordinator to review and follow through on work prior to presenting a home to a new owner it would greatly improve the process in our opinion. People shouldn’t spend this kind of money on a home , and then have to chase down and work with the Contractors to finish things that should have been done prior to closing. Good luck. ... More
