As so may others, we moved here from out of state and waited patiently for the house to be ready. There is not enough room here for me to list all of things that were - and still are - wrong with this house. I am not referring to little nit picky things. I mean things as bad as dangerous exposed electrical issues that finally got fixed 7 weeks after we closed. This house should have never been handed over in the shape that its in. Terrible workmanship and everything seemed rushed. Zero quality control done for the price we paid. If someone spends close to a million dollars on a house you expect everything to be near perfect. Extremely disappointed and disgusted with the laundry list of punchlist items that need to be addressed.

I initially started working with one man he was no help helping me answer my questions. Meant with him twice before a purchased my home. Then he was gone. No one ever contacted me again. Response to warranty issues has been very good. However, the month leading up to our closing was absolutely brutal. We had to pressure Lennar to move the closing date back three times. The different divisions (construction, mortgage, title, sales, etc.) did not communicate with the other. The local construction people had no idea of our original closing date and weren't even close to having the house ready. On closing day the title company (Lennar Title) did not have the closing documents from the lender (Lennar) and we never had a final walk-thru or orientation prior to closing.

Overall, Lennar builds a decent house. However, as I’ve now learned, local workers impact the quality of the final build and buying experience a great deal. My first Lennar home was immaculate at closing. This new one was not complete, had a long list of things to finish or redo, and very dirty. Since closing Lennar has made some effort, albeit very disjointed and longer than it should be, to take of the issues. The contractor and the customer warranty woman had no time to talk to me…..waited a long time for cabinet drawers……I have a tree still down from Ian & the fact that I closed in the 31st of August, but still couldn’t move until 9/16 since I was waiting for drawers which I finally came in and placed on 10/24. Then one drawer was cracked, so they had to order a new one. That was just the tip of my experience.

The home buying experience was very frustrating. Our home was delayed by 4-5 months while other homes on same street that contracted 3-4 months later were finished earlier. Compared other homes we’ve had built, It appeared that Lennar just slapped stuff together so they could close. Now we have to deal with it through the warranty process which is inconvenient. Examples are broken window, front door doesn’t line up with hopes drilled, no hardware on the door, island 3/4 inch lower on one side, floors stained, no address plate on outside, and I can keep going. We were excited to move in to our new home (which was delayed nearly 4 months) in early December. When we arrived we found the home not "ready" for occupancy. The tile floor was dirty and paint spattered. There was much "blue tape" that still remained in areas identified in previous walk-throughs...far too many to mention here. Finding out that Lennar didn't run the gutters past the side entrance door,( in the villa's) has more people angry and disappointed than anything I have heard (including myself). We were very excited to have Lennar build our new home. However, we encountered many obstacles and were pretty much told deal with it or find another location to build. Warranty items take time to rectify. In the end, we have a beautiful new house that we hope to enjoy for years to come.

Home wasn’t close to finished for the walk through and wasn’t finished for closing. Almost two months on and I am still running around trying to get them to complete projects. I gave them four stars for trustworthiness only because I believe it will get completed.

The fact that very few options are available for the purchaser throughout the home.

That they claim to not be a "custom builder" when they need excuses for construction miscues and for their lack of options. For the price of their home, it seems unreasonable to make those claims. Buyers must understand that changes internally will be on their own, while changes externally are virtually non-existent due to HOA regulations.

I completed a scathing review of Lennar 5 months ago. I will summarize. I consider Lennar the worst home builder I have ever worked with and I have moved 39 times. Your prime motivator is speed , not quality. Your workers take no pride in their work and do not respect the work of others. I did not rate you in trustworthiness as I have no way to measure this, and of course your survey required an answer to submit.

Well, I can’t write a good review! Our irrigation system in front still doesn’t work! Our spa heater didn’t work for at least a month after we closed! Was not happy with my Lennar experience. We love the area and our neighborhood but the the experience with Lennar and its salespeople is very sketchy! We were given three days notice to do our walkthrough and it was during a time our Lennar salesperson knew we were NOT available due to the personal and work commitments. They stopped corresponding with us after we asked for a new date then went ahead and did the walkthrough without us.
